Who will Barack Obama endorse in the Democratic primary?

February 16, 2016

Up until this point the President has declined to endorse a candidate in the Democratic primary but today Barack Obama left open the possibility that he will endorse a candidate at some point, here is more:

With only Iowa and New Hampshire having voted in 2016, Obama said he’d like to see the primary process play out more but signaled that he may throw his support behind a candidate. “Ultimately I will probably have an opinion on it based on [having] been both a candidate of hope and change and a president who’s got some nicks and cuts and bruises from getting stuff done over the last seven years,” he said. “But for now I think it’s important for Democratic voters to express themselves and for the candidates to be run through the paces.”

So which candidate will he endorse when the time comes? He claims that he is undecided at this point because he does not know where the two candidates stand on all the issues:

“I suspect that on certain issues, she agrees with me more than Bernie does,” Obama told reporters at a press conference in Rancho Mirage, California. “On the other hand, there may be a couple issues where Bernie agrees with me more. I don’t know. I haven’t studied their positions that closely.”

Personally I find it hard to believe that Barack Obama does not know where these two candidates stand on every issue at this point in time, this seems like a cop out to me because it is clear with the use of the superdelegates who the party elites have chosen. I think he most likely feels he is between a rock and a hard place at this time: does he go against the Clinton political machine and endorse the candidate who I believe is more in line with his beliefs or does he fall in line with the Democratic party elitists? It is a no-win situation for him, but it could make all the difference to the candidate he decides to endorse…

It sounds to me like he will wait to make an endorsement until the nomination is all but guaranteed and then he will throw his weight behind that candidate.

Chaka will have to withhold his endorsement until Al Sharpton reports back to the Oval Office with which of the commie candidates comes through with the highest payola. Especially for Hillary bobblehead Al’s nod giving her the 97% of the black vote in the general election is most important since fat ass is giving up on courting the white vote. In further news, she has wrapped up the PETA vote…woof woof. To counter this Bernard has started meowing at his campaign rallies.

LOL Peter. I was going to post the video of Hillary barking but it is all over the place so I decided not to. This should be her “Dean scream” moment but I am sure it will not be,

I don’t think the President should endorse any candidate for the Dem nomination, and I think it would be precedent-setting for him to do so. I cannot think of a single President in my lifetime who’s endorsed a candidate in advance of the convention.

I know that some Presidents have even been reluctant to endorse a candidate after the convention. Nixon, especially, was very resentful that Eisenhower waited a long time before endorsing him, and when he did, it seemed lukewarm.

At any rate, I’d be really disappointed in the President if he were to endorse either of the Democratic candidates before the convention.

Take good care and may God bless us all!
