Marco Rubio drops out of the Presidential race

March 15, 2016

Following his thoroughly embarrassing landslide defeat in his home state of Florida Marco Rubio has finally decided to drop out of the Presidential race. Here is part of what he had to say:

And so, while it is not God’s plan that I be president in 2016, or maybe ever, and while today the campaign is suspended, the fact that I’ve even come this far is evidence of how great America is.

In his concession speech tonight, Marco Rubio said his campaign is suspended.

“I endeavored over the last 11 months to bridge this divide in our party,” Rubio said. “While we are on the right side this year, we will not be on the winning side.”

He quoted scripture and said being president was not in God’s plan for him.

In a speech largely paralleling his stump speech, he spoke at length about his immigrant family.

“While this may not have been the year for a hopeful and optimistic message about our future, I still remain hopeful and optimistic for the future of America,” he said, flanked by his family.

Marco Rubio never had a chance in his home state, he knew it and he should have dropped out of the race before the Florida primary in order to give the anti-Trump voters a chance to coalesce around a single candidate but his pride would not allow him to do so.

Now that it is probably too late to stop Donald Trump from winning the nomination he has bowed out of the race and I have to wonder if he only stayed in the race this long in order to make sure there was no chance Ted Cruz could pull off the upset and gain momentum in his quest for the nomination. I believe Marco Rubio holds some personal animosity towards Ted Cruz and that played a role in his decision to stay in the race until Florida had voted.

This continues my winning/loosing streak. Every time I get behind a candidate, they drop out. Should I get with Trump now?

I knew a wonderful guy from High School. One of the most popular in the class. Years later he murdered two people in Philadelphia. Just saying.

Yep, good point Bunker. I bet there’s nothing like this for Hilly! And the reason most will vote for her is because ‘she’s a women’ and the movies/Tv programming has ‘told them to!’ And if that doesn’t work they have the electives to do it. A ugly weaving of degenerates who think themselves grand.
