Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio perform racist skit at the New York City Press Dinner

April 12, 2016

Over the weekend Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio decided it would he a good idea to perform a racially tinged skit at the New York City Press Dinner. Here is how it went down:

“I just have to say thanks for the endorsement, Bill. Took you long enough,” Clinton said jokingly to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“Sorry, Hillary, I was running on C.P. time,” de Blasio responded to the deafening sound of gasps from the audience.

“Hamilton” star Leslie Odom Jr., who is black, responded to de Blasio by saying, “I don’t like jokes like that.”

“Cautious politician time,” Hillary said, going along with the joke.

Hillary Clinton  To be honest I never heard the term “C.P. time” before but it was clear the audience knew what it meant and did not approve. After the firestorm which followed Hillary Clinton did what you would expect her to do and threw Bill de Blasio under the bus by claiming  “it was Mayor de Blasio’s skit” but of course she knew what the skit was when she agreed to do it and she had the prepared followup line ready to go. She is not innocent.

For the life of me I cannot understand how she thought this skit was a good idea–I guess we can chalk it up to the type of questionable judgement which should disqualify her from the Presidency–especially following the video which recently surfaced of her calling young black people “super predators” and said they need to “bring them to heel” while she was the First Lady. And also following the video which surfaced where she was praising former KKK leader Robert Byrd

Hillary Clinton has a history of racially charged comments which are finally coming to light as we head into the all-important New York primary and with Bernie Sanders surging in the state this could be what puts him over the top.

If Trump were in on this skit, he’d be getting fried.

In Miami it means Cuban People time. If it is term used by blacks why can’t it be used by whites? Blacks call each other n**** and other dispariging things. Azalia Banks uses fagot to describe people. De Blaise is married to a black women. The liberal PC elites are hypocrites. Hillary needs to get a spine – oh never mind that’s not possible.

The left is the side which is always looking for racism from the right where it does not exist so whenever I have the chance to throw it back at them I do.

We are a sensitive people aren’t we? My Cuban friends, always late; my Colombian family members, always late. It’s a running joke which we all enjoy a hearty laugh over at every event. And continually joke about all the time. The mention of ” colored people time” however is verboten. But God forbid the entitlement check should be late!

But isn’t one type of joke supposed to be word play? I guess we have lost the art for this form of humor. CP time – cautious politician. Isn’t that what Clinton and DeBlasio are? If a liberal comedian told this same joke everyone would be rolling in the aisles.

Of course. And a liberal comedian would have license to call it n___er time. 👤

Yeah but the left is always crying racism on the right over comments the right makes and here we have the left actually making an off-color joke they would be ripping the right for. Turnabout is fair play.

AND, they have the media to back them up and run with it…Clinton in a Dem and DeBlasio is a Dem/with black wife and 1/2 kids…guess they thought they had the right to say that and no one would attack them. I would say there are touchy people out there of ALL colors that didn’t appreciate the “humor” that they did. It was stupid, but then again we are talking about Democrats.

This would still be all over every news outlet if this were Trump or Cruz but of course it is a case of nothing to see here…

I was thinking of dragging out that clip again of her telling them they had to come to heel. What an ad coming up.

Good one. I doubt a speech writer told her to say it. It came from the heart.. that is if anyone can find that she has one.

She has feelings, but they happen to be negative ones. She would be a hell of a person to have for a Grandma, wouldn’t she? Or a mother! I think it has always been about and for Hillary.

Thanks for sharing that Lou, it is getting some play from Black Lives Matter. I think this could be a problem for her despite the media trying to cover for her.

Clinton and DeBlasio are not comics and this joke proved that. If you can’t tell a joke don’t do it. The NYDaily News has a good article about the joke. http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/real-reason-de-blasio-clinton-racial-joke-bombed-article-1.2598012
“Any comic will tell you that the more important thing is SELLING the joke. But Clinton played it so straight that the laugh she should have gotten was still laying on a cocktail napkin back in the writers’ room.” NYDaily News

Yeah, Hillary wants to “prove” she is just one of us and this was probably what she was trying to do but she just is not a funny person and I think everyone knows it now.
