Bernie Sanders campaign on DNC email revelations: somebody needs to be held accountable

July 23, 2016

Now that all of Bernie Sanders’s suspicions regarding the Democratic National Committee being in bed with Hillary Clinton’s campaign have been proven to be true with the leak of some 20,000 emails his campaign is lashing out at the rigged system and demanding that somebody be held accountable.

  Here is more:

Bernie Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said his team was “disappointed” by the emails from the Democratic National Committee leaked through WikiLeaks, which seemed to reveal staff in the party working to support Hillary Clinton.

“Someone does have to be held accountable,” Weaver said during an interview with ABC News. “We spent 48 hours of public attention worrying about who in the [Donald] Trump campaign was going to be held responsible for the fact that some lines of Mrs. Obama’s speech were taken by Mrs. Trump. Someone in the DNC needs to be held at least as accountable as the Trump campaign.”

Weaver said the emails showed misconduct at the highest level of the staff within the party and that he believed there would be more emails leaked, which would “reinforce” that the party had “its fingers on the scale.”

“Everybody is disappointed that much of what we felt was happening at the DNC was in fact happening, that you had in this case a clear example of the DNC taking sides and looking to place negative information into the political process.

“We have an electoral process. The DNC, by its charter, is required to be neutral among the candidates. Clearly it was not,” Weaver said, responding for the first time to the growing controversy. “We had obviously pointed that out in a number of instances prior to this, and these emails just bear that out.”

Bernie Sanders Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! You want the Democratic party in general and the Clinton machine in particular to be held to the same standards as the Republicans? Good luck with that, now you know what we have been dealing with for years! Welcome to the club…

Of course he makes some good points because all of Bernie Sanders’s suspicions have been proven to be true with this email leak but they will probably use #theclintondefense and state they didn’t mean to do anything that was not above the board.

This is a serious issue but still I cannot help but laugh at the irony and enjoy a sense of schadenfreude in seeing a person who is so far to the left finally coming to the realization that what we have been saying for so long is actually the truth. With the Democratic National Convention beginning in a couple of days this could be a very entertaining week…

The fix was in, just as we knew it was.

Now, will Sanders continue with his endorsement of Hillary? He knows she’s corrupt. He knows that without her corrupt politics he would be the likely Democratic candidate.

What will his conscience and ego say?

It will be interesting to see how he responds to this. I believe he is scheduled to speak tomorrow, it is interesting they put him on the first night because I think they are trying to avoid what happened with the RNC.

Jill Stein is suggesting Bernie withdraw his endorsement of Hillary.

    Stein’s DNC smackdown

“You want to affirm a corrupt party that just dragged you across the coals? You expect your supporters, who have a vision and who voted for integrity, to follow you into this shithole?” Stein told US Uncut. “Is there no respect here for his campaign and for himself? Are they just going to pretend it didn’t happen?”
