CNN apologizes for censoring pro-Trump shirt during an interview with a baby saving hero
This story is a few days old so I apologize for not getting to it in a more timely manner but earlier this week CNN held an interview with an ex-police officer who is being touted as a hero for rescuing a baby girl from a locked, sweltering car with a sledge hammer.
During the interview CNN blurred out the shirt Steve Eckel was wearing because it was either offensive, had obscenities, or perhaps had a logo or other advertisement on it. Or so we thought…
It turns out that Steve Eckel was simply wearing a pro Donald Trump shirt so I guess you could say CNN was probably offended by it and found it obscene. However once it became known what the shirt actually said the American people were outraged at CNN’s decision to censor the shirt.
Following the uproar CNN apologized for its decision, here is more:
HLN says it made a mistake by blurring out a pro-Donald Trump shirt that was worn by a man being interviewed by the network for heroically saving a baby.
Steve Eckel, a retired New Jersey police officer, selected a shirt that said “Trump for President 2016” to wear during his TV appearance, and his message was seen loud and clear the first time the interview aired. However, when the segment was re-ared [sic] on the network, the Trump shirt was blurred out.
“We blurred the logo and shouldn’t have; it was done in error,” an HLN spokesperson told TheWrap.
It’s so simple. In the past, the shirt, and most other conservative ideas would not have been censored. Now they are automatically censored, then apologized for after the fact. In the near future, they will just skip the apology.

That’s right Bruce, whenever something like this happens they apologize but the damage was already done and nobody will remember they admitted a mistake.

We know how they are, if they do not do something like this, they will take and edit it out or change what was actually said.

The surprising thing is they left a version unedited, somebody will probably be fired for this.

Mistakes will be made when you rely on some underling to do the work of the big dogs. Their mistake is assuming no one will believe it…guess they forget about those of us in the shadows watching every move they make.
