Did CNN commit a crime in finding the creator of the Trump ‘Wrestlemania’ Tweet?

July 5, 2017

As you all know by now the mainstream media went into full meltdown mode after Donald Trump retweeted a gif in which the President attacked CNN in a Wrestlemania video last Monday.

As it was their logo which was superimposed on the head of the victim CNN took the tweet exceedingly hard, eventually tracking down the creator of the gif and allegedly threatening to dox him if he did not apologize and then bragged about it on air.

Here is part of the statement CNN released:

CNN has stated that it will not publish the man’s name “because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again,” but added, “CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.”

And here is CNN bragging on air about it:

“Something remarkable, I thought, happened yesterday. I thought it was remarkable that CNN found the Reddit user who created the gif of Donald Trump and the wrestling video and where he punches CNN. So the investigative team went back and found the guy who first created this, who took credit for it—and then here comes the remarkable part: he apologized. He apologized for having done this…

“The reason that I think this is so notable, Chris Cillizza, is because this is a very full-throated, I think, genuine, honest apology. He has also asked that we not reveal his name or whereabouts and we at CNN are honoring that because he’s apologized and he thinks that he would then be in danger and at risk if other people knew his name. We get it. We understand that. So I don’t know, I just think that this is just a very interesting addendum to this whole story.”

I also think this is a “very interesting addendum to this whole story” albeit most likely for a different reason: I think it is interesting and troubling the CNN would go to this length to out a user who posted a satire video just because they do not like the President or his supporters.

CNN is claiming the network did not contact the creator of the gif until after he had already apologized and did not blackmail him into an apology however it certainly seems as if the network did try to intimidate him by saying they “reserve the right” to out him if he does this again.

CNN‘s statement that they “reserve the right” to dox him if he continues to post things on Twitter which they do not like is chilling and astonishing. Publishing this man’s personal information to violent #nevertrumpers who have already taken up arms against Republicans simply for political disagreements is beyond irresponsible and reprehensible.

This has blown up in the face of CNN big time and now Ted Cruz is suggesting the network my have committed a crime, here is what he tweeted today:

And as if CNN was not already having a bad enough week Buzzfeed (take it for what it is worth) is now reporting CNN might have the wrong guy.

I wonder if these gifs will be used as motive for a ‘false flag’ – like the supposed ‘vid’ activated the Benghazi Ruse of the corrupt administration. Hopefully not. But the CIA might ‘trigger the “GO” switch’ on one of their MKultras to do some nutty thing and blame these as the cause.

They are all over the place now! I wonder if CNN is regretting this or if they believe all publicity is good publicity.

Mark Dice has these up. What will CNN do to him?
This one’s a bit much, but they sure are taking a wallop! 🙂

Mark gets it right! These are good examples of satire. Don’t forget Trump is a WWE promoter. The original meme uses a video of Trump brawling with Vince McMohn. This whole incitement to violence against reporters is ridiculous. The meme clearly is targeting CNN not an individual.

Yep, agree. But, they (those who work for CNN) will make it whatever they want it to be, just like they do the -fake- news.

The MSM, and CNN, clearly overreacted here and now they have not been able to let it go.

They can’t go after everybody, can they? I think CNN would be wise to just move on but it sure has been fun the last couple of days.

Yeah, they should have just released the information and had him deal with the consequences of his actions. (sarcasm)

All joking aside there is something very dark about this whole story. Why did CNN target the gif creator? Why did Time Warner (I read a story where this was alleged) assist CNN? Why is CNN intimating the Reddit user was anti Semitic? ( Maybe this gets too close to who CNN is and why they are attacking Trump.) Why is Buzzfeed involved? The apology post appears to have been written by somebody other than a 15 year. The language is all wrong. The post appeared on Reddit twice. The Mods took it down, but Buzzfeed was able to get a screenshot the second time it was posted. Really???

As for all what’s going on – that you’re stating – be interesting to see. I wonder if some is connected to what Rush stated: “Folks, I think some of this chaos is by design. It is a distraction. It’s designed to get the media paying attention to themselves or looking elsewhere while Trump does things that they would abhor and despise.”
Them being in defense mode is step in the right direction. But, we know they’ll become more venomous as truth is uncovered – the unveiling of their mask. The public has been taught to allow the criminals to do as they please in high and low places, and not speak up against the usurpers (gun control for those who register their guns). The ‘media’ continue to belittle and berate Trump (calling him ‘immature’ for his confronting and offensive tweets), it’s time to wipe the the scum from the playing field and have real reporters – not manipulators and propagandist (emotionally-bent intelligence) running the show.
I see Trump posted some pics of he and Melania in Poland. I bet the Polish people are happier to see him than the ‘shill’ of late! Maybe what they ‘sowed’ is being reaped (instead of their raping and pillaging).

There is no doubt in my mind the MSM is engaged in organized chaos trying to bring Trump down. I don’t listen to Rush but I think he is on to something here.

Some good questions there that we don’t have any answers for. From what I can tell the notion that this was 15yo person came from a tweet in response, CNN has reported this is false but of course at this time we cannot believe CNN.

As if anyone here would have believed CNN to begin with since they do not report government sanctioned news.
