Robert Mueller to grant immunity to five people in Paul Manafort trial

July 17, 2018

It is now being reported here that Robert Mueller is asking the judge overseeing the Paul Manafort trial to grant immunity to five people in return for their testimony. Here is more:

Special Counsel Robert Mueller asked a judge to give immunity to five people who may testify at the bank-fraud trial starting next week against Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman.

Mueller didn’t identify the witnesses, who haven’t been charged. The five would invoke their constitutional right against self-incrimination and remain silent unless Judge T.S. Ellis III grants them immunity, prosecutors said Tuesday in a court filing in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia. Their names will be made public only if they are called to testify, according to the filing.

That is all we know right now but things do not look very good for Paul Manafort. Of course it should be remembered that the charges against Paul Manafort stem back to before he was working on the Trump campaign and have nothing to so with the 2016 election. Of course this will not stop the mainstream media or the Democrats from using this as an indictment on Donald Trump, but that is to be expected…

Many D.C. power players apparently are not picky in their choice of clients. Paul Manafort, the former campaign manager for Donald Trump, went straight to the top of the Democratic establishment — the Podesta Group — when soliciting lobbying power for his client, former Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych.

Manafort is now under indictment by special counsel Robert Mueller; one of the charges is failing to register under the Foreign Agent Registration Act. The Podesta Group, which Manafort hired, also failed to register in a timely fashion and could face similar charges.

I sure would love to see the Podestas fry…the worst of the worst but Hillary’s buds.

They may be Hillary’s bids but we can still dream, can’t we? Oh how wonderful it would be!

The Podesta brothers appear to be likely candidates.
