Democrats demand William Barr recuse himself from Ukraine ‘matters’
According to this story the Democrats are taking a page right out of the Russia investigation playbook–which went nowhere and cost millions of dollars–and are demanding William Barr recuse himself from all things Ukraine. Here is more:
“Impartial enforcement of the law is essential to give the American public confidence in the Justice Department’s work. Your personal connection to these matters creates the appearance of a conflict of interest and gives rise to questions about whether the Department is being used to advance the president’s personal interests,” the letter states.
“We request that you recuse yourself and identify the appropriate official who will be responsible for these matters. We also request that you confirm whether you consulted Department ethics officials regarding recusal and provide copies of any ethics guidance that Justice Department officials have provided in connection with these matters,” it adds.
Did you notice the same thing that I noticed? The letter does not claim William Barr has any type of conflict of interest, it just claims that there is the “appearance” of a conflict of interest. That is quite a difference isn’t it? Now we are supposed to judge and act on looks?
It is interesting to note this comes a day after we learned William Barr’s Spygate investigation is now a criminal investigation, it gives the appearance that the Democrats might be afraid of where it leads. (See what I did there?)

Jeff Sessions set the stage for this. It’s surprising he’s not participating in the dump Trump hysteria.

This is just the opening salvo of Impeachment 2.0. Barr will not step down and the democrats know this. Impeachment 1.0 will die at the 2020 election without any real action taking place. They will probe, depose more ‘witnesses’ and dream up more and more things that they can accuse Trump of. Once the new Congress is sworn in in Jan 2021 they have to start anew. They will use Barr’s investigation and any criminal complaints as evidence of the need for further Impeachment hearings; democrats only of course.

I don’t think they have any real hope of impeachment but they do want this hanging over his head right up until the election so this is going to drag on until next November.

“… recuse themselves …” from acting like they’re Americans but not.
Doesn’t make sense that they – our enemy – get a paycheck, free healthcare, etc bennies from the every people they kill, maim, make merchandise of, abuse & destroy.

I figure if they can’t get him on his Real Estate business dealings there is about zip possibilities.. No doubt why they are desperate for his tax returns.

That’s right, they are just fishing, hoping to catch anything. You would think a judge would throw this whole New York lawsuit out because it is obvious what it is all about.
