The Spygate investigation is now a criminal investigation

  We learned earlier this week that the Spygate investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation and the alleged FISA abuses had expanded after new evidence was found while William Barr was in Italy, and now it is being reported that the investigation has turned into a criminal investigation. Here is more:

Justice Department officials have shifted an administrative review of the Russia investigation closely overseen by Attorney General William P. Barr to a criminal inquiry, according to two people familiar with the matter. The move gives the prosecutor running it, John H. Durham, the power to subpoena for witness testimony and documents, to convene a grand jury and to file criminal charges.

  You would think that when you are investigating allegations of FISA abuses and a conspiracy between intelligence agencies this would have always been a criminal investigation but it was not, and because it was not the Department of Justice could not subpoena anybody. Talk about wasting time!

But maybe they had to find evidence of criminal activity before it could be called a criminal investigation, and to me this makes it sound as if the investigation has turned up evidence of a conspiracy by the intelligence agencies to stop Donald Trump or some abuse of the FISA system. 

  I think now we know why the Democrats have dropped their vast left wing Russia collusion conspiracy theory and are focusing on Ukraine…

  Of course we know how it turns out when a government agency is in charge of investigating itself and William Barr is part of the Washington establishment so…
