Hunter Biden would be a top witness in House Judiciary impeachment trial

   Recently the tide seems to have turned away from impeachment in the public and there are reports that Democrats are getting cold feet.

  I chalked most of this up to the fact that the impeachment inquisition has gone much the same for the Democrats as did the Russia investigation in that the more they dig the more they find there is nothing there. This would naturally turn the public against impeachment and would also have some Democrats running scared but is there more to it than that?

  During the House impeachment inquiry the Democrats have not allowed the Republicans to call any witnesses, but a second House committee is scheduled to begin an impeachment hearing next week as Democrats look to drag this on and the Republicans are seeking to call witnesses. And according to this story Hunter Biden would be a top witness called on to testify. Here is more:

House Judiciary Committee member Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said during a Wednesday appearance on Fox News that Hunter Biden would be one of their top witnesses in the impeachment hearings.

Gaetz said that the Republicans on the committee would like to be allowed to call witnesses because if they can prove that President Donald Trump’s questions about Hunter Biden and Burisma were legitimate, and well founded, that it can’t possibly be “this shakedown that Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi are spewing to the American people.”

“That’s why getting this exculpatory evidence into the record is so important, and to date we have got no authorization to do it.”

“Hunter Biden would be probably one of our top witnesses,” Rep. Gaetz asserted. “I think the whistleblower would be a witness, and I think that others who can expound on the testimony of George Kent, that reflect on the concerns with Burisma and the ingrained corruption with that company.”

  This helps to explain why some Democrats are getting cold feet and it also explains why the Democrats have not allowed witnesses to this point. I also believe this shows why it does not matter how many House committees hold these mock hearings, none of them will let the Republicans call witnesses, that will have to wait for the Senate hearing and that is why I do not believe the House will ever vote to impeach.
