12 States sue Joe Biden over climate change Executive Order

March 8, 2021

According to this story 12 States have banded together claiming the President overstepped his boundaries and violated the sovereignty of the States when he issued his climate change Executive Order and are suing to stop its implementation. Here is more:

A coalition of 12 states is suing President Biden’s administration over a climate executive order that they claim has the potential to have a serious economic impact across the country through the expansion of federal regulatory power.

The suit, which is being led by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, was filed on Monday. State attorneys general from Arkansas, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah also joined the action.

It alleges that Biden’s Executive Order 13990, titled “Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis,” does not have the authority to issue binding numbers for the “social cost” of greenhouse gases to be used in federal regulations.

Schmitt said that those potential regulations will stifle manufacturing and harm agriculture in Missouri, where state figures show that hundreds of thousands of people work in those industries.

“Under President Biden’s executive order, which he didn’t have the authority to enact, these hard-working Missourians who have lived and worked this land for generations, could be left in the dust,” Schmitt said in a written press release.

I have to be honest, I am glad these States were paying attention because I do not remember Joe Biden even signing a climate change Executive Order. But then again, Joe Biden does not even know what he was signing so I guess I can be forgiven for not being able to keep up.

Joe Biden is still separating migrant families at the border

March 7, 2021

You all remember the outcry over the last four years when the left learned that Donald Trump was separating migrant families at the border and keeping children in cages, with the screams of this is not who we are and with the promises during the election to immediately reverse this cruel policy. (Which actually began under Barack Obama by the way.)

We already learned that Joe Biden reneged on his campaign promise to stop putting children in cages, and in fact has expanded the program–although the left and the media have rebranded them as migrant children detention centers–and now we are learning the the President is still separating migrant families as well. Here is more:

The Biden administration is still sheltering children separated from close family members in federal facilities for weeks on end – something immigrant advocates and attorneys had hoped the new administration would resolve by now.

Hold it, time out! Notice now how the article uses the term “sheltering” instead of saying locking them up as they did when Donald Trump was President in order to soften the truth of the situation? Anyway, I digress. Back to the story:

The migrant children often arrive with a grandparent, older sibling or other relative but are separated until federal officials can confirm the accompanying adult is their relative, as required under U.S. law. The procedure, which is different from the highly controversial Trump administration policy of separating immigrant parents from their children, is designed to protect minors from human traffickers and grant them legal protections.

Again the article tries to draw a clear distinction between the two administrations and their policies but in the end both administrations held or are holding children separated from family members until verification could be made, and the goal of protecting children from human traffickers is the same under Joe Biden as it was under Donald Trump. The only exception is that if the adults claimed to be the children’s parents they also had to be vetted under the previous administration. You could legitimately argue from this point that that means the children were better protected under Donald Trump.

But it also classifies the youngsters as “unaccompanied minors” and places them in federal shelters until a sponsor or adult is vetted, a process that can take several weeks or even months.

“It really does look and feel in many ways like a parent-child separation,” Koop said. “The trauma of the separation is very similar.”

What we have here is an admission by Joe Biden that Donald Trump’s policy was the correct one and that the Democrats and the media were lying all along about what was happening at the border. And yet with the exception of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez every single Democrat in the Federal government is either ignoring this story or is a hypocrite. Their silence is deafening…

Here is Tom MacDonald and one of his new songs, this one is called “No Lives Matter.” Enjoy:

“The music we love make us dumb and addicted
The news that we watch is brainwashing the children
The virus is riots and racist conditions
Ain’t problems, they’re symptoms of life in this system”

“Screaming from the rooftops, beatdown, battered
Turned us on each other, now no lives matter
If we do what the news wants, blood gon’ splatter
Turn us on each other ’til no lives matter”

“The music will make you dumb
The media makes you hate
And they control ’em both
There ain’t no escape
They put the world is a state of chaos
Economy crashing and massive layoffs
Black against white or it’s left versus right
Divide and conquer and control is the payoff”

Cuomo aides rewrote initial report to coverup COVID-19 nursing home deaths

March 5, 2021

Things are going from bad to worse for the embattled Governor of New York and I am not even talking about the sex abuse accusations. Of course I am referring to his disastrous and deadly COVID-19 nursing home edict which led to the deaths of thousands of New York’s elderly population.

Previously we learned that a report by New York’s Attorney General found that Andrew Cuomo undercounted theCOVID-19 nursing home deaths by more than 50% and also that he hid the deaths in order to avoid a Federal investigation. Now we are learning how far the Cuomo administration went to hide the deaths, according to this story one of his aides rewrote the original report in order to coverup how many elderly people were dying as a result of Andrew Cuomo’s incompetency. Here is more:

Top aides to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo were alarmed: A report written by state health officials had just landed, and it included a count of how many nursing home residents in New York had died in the pandemic.

The number — more than 9,000 by that point in June — was not public, and the governor’s most senior aides wanted to keep it that way. They rewrote the report to take it out, according to interviews and documents reviewed by The New York Times.

The extraordinary intervention, which came just as Mr. Cuomo was starting to write a book on his pandemic achievements, was the earliest act yet known in what critics have called a months long effort by the governor and his aides to obscure the full scope of nursing home deaths.

After the state attorney general revealed earlier this year that thousands of deaths of nursing home residents had been undercounted, Mr. Cuomo finally released the complete data, saying he had withheld it out of concern that the Trump administration might pursue a politically motivated inquiry into the state’s handling of the outbreak in nursing homes.

But Mr. Cuomo and his aides actually began concealing the numbers months earlier

Notice the timing of the beginning of the coverup? Andrew Cuomo was just beginning to write his book touting his leadership during the COVID-19 outbreak, and incidentally showing how much better he handled the crisis than did Donald Trump, and this news would have devastated book sales and possibly even lost him the book deal. So instead of releasing the report and learning from it so that New York could have prevented more loss of life Andrew Cuomo decided to hide it so that he could sell more books. You have to have priorities I guess…

You know things are not going your way when you would rather have the media focus on allegations of sexual abuse against you than on something else…

White House feed cut after Joe Biden says he will take questions at virtual event

March 4, 2021

I read yesterday that Joe Biden is now the President who has gone the longest in the last 100 years without holding a press conference by himself after taking office and I think we all know why that is. Yesterday Joe Biden held a virtual event and when he was through speaking he got a little confused and said he would take questions if that was what “I’m supposed to do.”

Apparently that was not what he was supposed to do because the White House abruptly cut the feed before any questions could be asked of the President. Here it is:

I am sure it was all just a mistake or a glitch in the system…

New York legislature to strip Andrew Cuomo of his COVID-19 emergency powers

March 3, 2021

According to this story the New York legislature has reached a deal to strip Governor Andrew Cuomo–who wrote a book on how to lead the people through a pandemic and how wonderfully he handled the COVID-19 pandemic compared to Donald Trump, even though his policies led to the deaths of thousands of senior citizens–of his emergency COVID-19 powers. Here is more:

Legislators from New York’s Assembly and state Senate struck a deal Tuesday to strip Gov. Andrew Cuomo of his pandemic-linked emergency powers and return matters like lockdowns to local control.

The deal would reverse emergency powers granted to Cuomo exactly a year ago, in the early days of the COVID pandemic, that gave him free rein to order measures like quarantines.

“I think everyone understands where we were back in March and where we are now. We certainly see the need for a quick response but also want to move toward a system of increased oversight, and review. The public deserves to have checks and balances. Our proposal would create a system with increased input while at the same time ensuring New Yorkers continue to be protected,” Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins said in a statement.

The Governor has become entangled in a sex scandal which has taken the focus (purposely) off of his disastrous reign as King of New York and I think the legislature is sugaring their reasoning up to let Andrew Cuomo save some face, but hopefully this is the beginning of a path which leads to his resignation.

Once a person usurps this type of power he or she does not willingly give it back so good luck to New York trying to wrestle this power away from him.

Supreme Court strikes down California’s COVID ban on church services

March 2, 2021

This kind of slid under the radar but last Friday the Supreme Court ruled in favor of religious freedom when it struck down California’s COVID-19 ban on in-person worship by a 6-3 margin. Here is more:

the Supreme Court on Friday ruled 6-3 that Santa Clara County, California, officials cannot forbid churches in the Silicon Valley region from holding in-person worship services.

Chief Justice John Roberts joined with justices Amy Coney Barrett, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, and Neil Gorsuch in striking down Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Tier 1 ban on indoor worship services. The majority also singled out the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, noting that its “failure to grant relief was erroneous.”

Liberal justice Elena Kagan, Stephen Breyer and Sonia Sotomayor dissented.

“This is another great victory for California against the governor’s draconian orders,” said Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver.

This is a no-brainer and it should have been a unanimous decision, the Constitution is pretty clear about a person’s right to worship and oddly enough it does not include an exception for a virus. Still we will take the victory and this is a big one. We no longer can trust John Roberts but he got this one right.

Still, I am a little confused because back in May John Roberts sided with the liberals in upholding California worship ban. Maybe one of my California readers can help clarify this for us.

Joe Biden during speech: ‘what am I doing here?’

March 1, 2021

Joe Biden’s handlers are doing their best to put a lid on the President so that he does not sundown while on camera, however it is not always feasible. Take for instance a speech he gave on Friday when he started reading the names of some of his Democratic cohorts and he got confused and asked “what am I doing here?” Here is the video:

Well, that should instill confidence in the American people that Joe Biden is able to meet with world leaders, manage the economy, and carry out all the other duties of the office. And this is not the first time Joe Biden admitted he did not know what was going on around him while he was on camera. Previously he admitted he had no idea what he was signing as he was signing Executive Orders.

Here is The Cure performing “The Big Hand” live:

“The big hand makes all of your favorite things
Like all your dreams go small
And all your friends run away
Until your memories fail
And the words don’t fit
But the way the big hand smiles
You just won’t care about it

The big hand makes all of your favorite things
Like all your days run out
And all your hopes disappear
And your smiles just stop
And your eyes go dead
And the shadows start to crawl
In the back of your head

But when the big hand speaks
It’s like fireworks and heaven
So you listen
Don’t think
And wish for nothing at all”

Joe Biden to charge reporters $170 for access to the West Wing

February 27, 2021

Joe Biden has already limited press access to the White House and now it is being reported here that Joe Biden is charging reporters $170 for access to the West Wing using COVID-19 testing as an excuse. Here is more:

The White House is imposing a new $170 COVID-19 testing fee on reporters who want to access the West Wing, in what critics say is the latest step that constrains press coverage of President Biden.

The Biden administration already imposed sweeping restrictions, including capping at 80 the number of pre-approved journalists who are able to access White House grounds on a given day — each of whom must take a COVID-19 rapid test before 1 p.m.

The latest restrictions were announced in an on-the-record email from White House Correspondents’ Association President Zeke Miller, who is a reporter for The Associated Press.

“The White House has informed us that it has determined that budgetary constraints limit the government’s ability to provide the daily COVID-19 testing that the White House has required for journalists on campus,” Miller wrote.

Suddenly the Federal Government is worried about budgetary restraints?! I think we all know what this is about, the President can only handle so many questions being thrown at him before he starts sundowning and this is a convenient excuse to limit access to the President.

I still remember the hostile relationship Donald Trump had with the media, can you imagine what the press would be saying if he attempted to do something like this to him?
