Judicial Watch requests an investigation into two Democratic Intelligence Committee members
Using the same tactic MoveOn.org and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington used in order to force Devin Nunes to step aside from the Russian hacking scandal, Judicial Watch has requested an investigation into the possibility that two top Democrats on the Intelligence Committee potentially are guilty of the same violation as Devin Nunes is accused of.
Here is more:
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch on Friday called for a preliminary investigation into two top Democratic members of the House Intelligence Committee for potentially disclosing classified information to the public in violation of House ethics rules.
Judicial Watch has requested the Office of Congressional Ethics to look into whether Vice Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) broke House ethics rules for disclosing classified information to the public, with which left-wing groups have targeted its Republican chairman.
For some strange reason MoveOn.org and CREW are not interested in the possibility that Vice Chairman Schiff and Rep. Jackie Speier were up to the same thing as Devin Nunes, something that was not lost on Judicial Watch:
Here is the open thread for Sunday, April 16th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we discussed 8 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!
Happy Easter everybody, here is Johnny Cash performing “Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?”
“He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” (Luke 24:6-7 KJV)

Illegal border crossings at lowest level in 17 years
Jeff Sessions appeared on Howie Carr’s radio show earlier this week and he had some interesting numbers to share with the Boston talk icon and his listeners about the progress which has already been made at our Southern border.
Here is some of what he had to say:
“I’ve been excited about progress at the border … March was the lowest level of illegal entrants to the country in 17 years. It was 72% below the last month of the Obama Administration,” Sessions relayed to Carr. Building on his statements on Fox News’s Hannity, he added:
I thought if we had clear leadership by the President, by our officers, and tell people please don’t come illegally, if you want to come to America wait your turn. If we do that we’d see a decline, and so far it’s exceeded my expectation.
If these numbers are correct this is pretty impressive in a short period of time and it has been accomplished without building a wall but simply with the threat of actually enforcing the immigration laws which are already on the books.
It would appear as if potential illegal immigrants are not crossing the border in the same numbers simply because they are afraid the President will actually enforce the laws.
We know the Democrats oppose building a wall on the Southern border, and we also know the establishment Republicans oppose building a wall but if these numbers remain consistent we might not have to build the wall after all. Isn’t it interesting what can be accomplished simply by enforcing the law?

It is now being reported that the House Republicans are planning on filing criminal charges against Lois Lerner for using the IRS to target conservative organizations, here is more:
Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) went on with Stewart Varney on Thursday morning to discuss recent developments on Capitol Hill.
Roskam told Stewart House Republicans are planning of filing criminal charges against Lois Lerner.
The Obama Administration was very lenient with the crimes that Lois Lerner committed. And those are strong words that I’m using but the House Ways and Means Committee voted out a criminal referral to the Department of Justice which was completely dismissed by the Department of Justice… We think that Lois Lerner did two things wrong. Number one, she denied people due process and equal protection of the law based on their political philosophy. We’re convinced that there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that that’s true. And that’s a felony. Secondly, we suspect that she lied to the Inspecter General of the Treasury Department. It is a good thing that Tacoma Criminal Defense Lawyer can help people who are involved in a criminal situation resolve their problems.
It should be remembered that this story first came to light when Lois Lerner, who took the Fifth while testifying in front of the Congress, ADMITTED and apologized for “inappropriately” targeting conservative groups–an admission of guilt in my opinion.
I am not going to hold my breath waiting for justice in this case…

Press Secretary Sean Spicer has come under fire, and rightfully so, for making the stupid remark that even Adolf Hitler did not use chemical weapons during WWII. Some Democrats, most notably Nancy Pelosi, have called on Sean Spicer to resign because of this mistake.
While I cannot state emphatically enough how remarkably dumb this mistake was that is all it was–a mistake–and I do not see any reason for him to resign over this. The left will seize any opportunity to try to take down anyone in the Trump regime and this is the latest example.
It is funny, but I do not remember anyone on the left calling for Chris Matthews resignation in 2013 when he said the same thing while defending Barack Obama. Here is what he said:
“If you basically lay — put down a red line and say don’t use chemical weapons, and it’s been enforced in the Western community, around the world — international community for decades — don’t use chemical weapons. We didn’t use them in World War II, Hitler didn’t use them.”
If Sean Spicer’s remarks make him an anti-Semite who needs to resign for his lack of historical understanding why does Chris Matthews still have a job? What a bunch of hypocrites these people are…

Washington Post contributor apologizes for taking Jeff Sessions out of context and spreading fake news
A Washington Post contributor, Daniel Drezner, has been forced to apologize for Tweeting that Jeff Sessions called all illegal immigrants “filth.” Here is his Tweet:
He went on to say the following:
I’m not going to lie, seeing the word “filth” used to seemingly describe illegal immigrants brought me up short. It’s pretty potent language for an attorney general to use to describe fellow human beings.
It is now being reported here that the House and Senate Intelligence Committees are expanding their investigations over the unmasking scandal. Here is more:
The House and Senate intelligence committees are expanding their investigation into the so-called “unmasking” controversy, Fox News has learned, to examine whether other candidates or lawmakers beyond President Trump’s associates were affected.
Until now, the investigation focused on how the identities and communications of Trump transition members were collected by U.S. intelligence agencies and then revealed to, and disseminated among, high-ranking members of the Obama administration.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now plans to audit files from the National Security Agency and White House to determine whether identities and conversations of presidential candidates — or members of Congress — also were swept up during NSA surveillance of foreign leaders. He also plans to review whether Obama’s National Security Council and White House counsel collected and distributed the intelligence for reasons unrelated to foreign intelligence.
“We will be performing an accounting of all unmasking for political purposes focused on the previous White House administration,” a member of the committee told Fox News. “This is now a full-blown investigation.”
By now you have either heard about the story, or seen the video, of United Airways forcibly removing a passenger after over-booking the flight. The memes were flying (pardon the pun) all over Facebook today and I have to admit I was guilty of sharing a few of them myself.
Some actor whom I have never heard of before, John Cho, has an interesting take on who is to blame for the incident and it is not the airline or the man they claimed was unruly–it was none other than Donald Trump. Here is what he Tweeted earlier today:
Maybe I am dimwitted but it is hard for me to see the connection he is trying to draw and he did not bother to explain what he meant. I would guess he is claiming racism, supposedly spurred on by Donald Trump, is to blame.
This is the latest example of the left becoming unhinged but this one is just a little silly.

Maybe I was just a little too quick to jump on MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell for wondering if Vladimir Putin was behind the chemical attack in Syria in order to help Donald Trump. Okay, I am not going to go that far however there is a new report which claims to be quoting an unnamed US official which is a little troubling on the surface. This official claims that Russia knew the attack was coming and in the aftermath tried to cover it up by bombing the hospital where the victims were going seeking treatment.
Here is more:
After days, if not weeks, of bashing Donald Trump on various issues John McCain was forced to admit he agreed with the President’s bombing of Syria in the wake of last week’s chemical attack. However the resident Republican warmonger in the Senate is now backing down slightly from his support and is sliding back into the #NeverTrump camp.
Not willing to give the President too much credit for acting quickly on Syria John McCain stated that the rhetoric coming out of Washington prior to the attack was partially responsible for Bashar al-Assad’s decision to use chemical weapons on his own people. I still have questions as to why Bashar al-Assad would do this when he seemed to be in the driver’s seat: if he knew Donald Trump was against regime change why would he do something which would change that position? This does not make sense to me, did this embolden him enough to think he could do whatever he wanted to do without repercussions? That is possible so I will leave my questions unanswered for the sake of this post.
John McCain then went into full warmonger mode (never go into full warmonger mode) by claiming that after reflection Donald Trump’s missile strike on Syria did not go far enough. Here is more:
