Because Hillary Clinton left the lavishes of the White House dead-broke she can relate to the average American citizen, and to prove this she launched her now infamous Scooby van tour of Iowa to meet with average Americans on a personal level. I feel your pain because I also had that pain.
Of course Hillary Clinton has been in the public eye for many years and she is not an average American and, try as she might, she will never be able to really understand the problems many Average Americans face on a daily basis. That is what made her Scooby tour seem so contrived–nobody is buying it and in fact it was more than a little embarrassing for her to even make this attempt for it is fooling nobody.
But how contrived was it? It was so contrived that even the propaganda arm of the Democratic party, otherwise known as MSNBC, had to call it the “most contrived-appearing campaign ever.”
Here is part of what the MSNBC panel had to say:
Open thread for Sunday, April 19th: ‘Crocodiles’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, April 19th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we covered 13 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!
Coming in at number nine on my all time favorite band list is alternative rockers Echo and the Bunnymen. I have included four videos which total six songs. First up is a live, and slightly extended, version of the title track from their debut album “Crocodiles.” This particular version is from 1983.
The second video, also from 1983, includes “The Cutter” and the song which introduced me to the band–“The Killing Moon.”
The third video includes “The Game” and the song which might be their biggest hit, I am not sure–“Lips Like Sugar.”
And lastly I give you my favorite Echo and the Bunnymen song entitled “All My Colours (Zimbo)”

Video: Rand Paul’s full speech in front of the New Hampshire Republican Leadership Summit
Rand Paul was in my state of New Hampshire today and he gave a speech at the New Hampshire Republican Leadership Summit. As regular readers of America’s Watchtower have probably figured out by my recent posts I am a supporter of the Republican Senator from Kentucky although I have not yet committed to a candidate.
Rand Paul is an enigma in the Republican Republican party because he does not always toe the party line. Because of this the elitist Republican establishment have attacked him, especially after he announced his bid for the Presidency, by making the claim he is to the left of Barack Obama on national security issues.
I would turn the tables on the establishment Republicans by asking them why they are so closely aligned with the President. The truth is, in my opinion, that the establishment Republicans are not any better than the Democrats who they pretend to oppose for they are also statists. They only differ on who should be in control of big government, they do not oppose big government.
New anti-Hillary video: Trustworthy?
America Rising PAC has released a new ad which basically asks if Hillary Clinton is trustworthy and I have decided to share it with my readers. My favorite part is a quote in which the former Secretary of State says, “you know what? Rich people… God bless us.” What a stunning revelation from the women who claimed she and her husband were dead broke when they left the White House. Of course the ad also mentions that at the time Mrs. Clinton left the White House she had an $8 million book advance. That must have slipped her mind…

Stevenson College has apologized for holding a party entitled “Intergalactic” which, as you probably guessed, was space-themed. What is so offensive about a space-themed event? Apparently some students complained the event was offensive because Mexican food was served. How did these students come to that conclusion? They drew a comparison between space aliens and illegal immigration.

Potential Republican candidate Carly Fiorina claims she could neutralize Hillary Clinton in 2016 Presidential race
Carly Fiorina is exploring a Presidential run in 2016 as a potential Republican candidate. I have to be honest here: I know nothing about her but I think that is forgivable because she is not a politician and in fact has never held a political office before. She did run for the Senate in the state of California in 2010 but that is the extent of her foray into politics.
Yesterday she made some interesting comments on why she would be the best Republican candidate to square off against Democratic presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton in the general election and it comes down to this; she is a woman.

According to this story Mike Huckabee is going to announce his intentions on a Presidential bid on May 5th. Here is more:
“I will announce on May the 5th, in my hometown of Hope, Arkansas, what my plans are going to be and I’ll let everybody — just say come to Hope on May the 5th, you’ll find out what’s going to happen” he stated.
Huckabee added, “I don’t think anybody should enter into a decision that is this monumental, not just for me, but for my entire family, without a lot of prayer, a lot of thoughtful consideration, a lot of consultation with friends and family members, and so all of that is a very important factor in leading up to the decision that I will make and make clear on May the 5th.”
So, what is his announcement going to be? Will he run or will he not run? I think the fact that he has announced he is going to make an announcement and has scheduled it two weeks away in order to build up hype is an indication that he will seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States.
Personally, I do not feel that he has any chance of even coming close to winning the Republican nomination and I do not have any intention of voting for him but I welcome the competition because competition will at least make the primary more interesting.

Below is MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry calling out Sam Brownback for his tax policies. If you do not care to listen to her arrogance and condescension you can skip to roughly the 3:30 mark in the video to hear her tell Mr. Brownback that he has no intention of asking the rich to pay their fair share.
She certainly seems legitimately upset that the rich do not pay their fair share, doesn’t she? But if one wants to call out people who do not pay enough in taxes you would think that person would make sure his or her own house was in order, but Melissa Harris-Perry’s own house is not in order because we learned today that the IRS has slapped a $70,000 lien on her house because she is delinquent on her own taxes.
Darrell Issa asked Hillary Clinton if she used a personal email account to conduct State Department business two years ago
This is an interesting little twist in the Hillary Clinton email scandal; it turns out Darrell Issa sent Hillary Clinton a letter two years ago in which he asked her if she used a personal email account to conduct official State Department business, and if so he asked her to identify it.
The link provided above is from The New York Times but I cannot copy and paste from that website so I have taken the following quote, which came from The New York Times article, from this post.
The query was posed to Mrs. Clinton in a Dec. 13, 2012, letter from Representative Darrell Issa, the Republican chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Mr. Issa was leading an investigation into how the Obama administration handled its officials’ use of personal email.
“Have you or any senior agency official ever used a personal email account to conduct official business?” Mr. Issa wrote to Mrs. Clinton. “If so, please identify the account used.”
It is now being reported that ISIS has a camp set up in Mexico just a few miles outside the United States border. Here is more:
ISIS is operating a camp just a few miles from El Paso, Texas, according to Judicial Watch sources that include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector.
The exact location where the terrorist group has established its base is around eight miles from the U.S. border in an area known as “Anapra” situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Another ISIS cell to the west of Ciudad Juárez, in Puerto Palomas, targets the New Mexico towns of Columbus and Deming for easy access to the United States, the same knowledgeable sources confirm.
But that is not all for it is also being reported that human traffickers, also known as coyotes, are escorting ISIS terrorists into the United States:
