Earlier today John Boehner caved and brought a Department of Homeland Security funding bill to the floor which did not cut off funding for Barack Obama’s Executive Action on illegal immigration. The legislation passed and naturally this has conservatives outraged but there is no sense in being outraged when we we all knew this was going to be the end result–I am passed the outrage stage.
This result was predetermined from the beginning: I have written time and time again that all of the Democrats and most of the Republicans are on the same side, this was just a game played out in front of the American voters and the game is known as the Hegelian Dialectic.
In reality John Boehner played his role in the Dialectic perfectly. That sentence will most likely outrage many conservatives who do not understand what John Boehner’s role was.
Now that Barack Obama does not have to face reelection, and now that the mid-term elections are over and the President does not have to worry about protecting vulnerable Democrats, we are beginning to see exactly what he meant when he talked about being more flexible.
Last week we learned that Barack Obama was preparing to use the BATF to implement defacto gun control legislation though Executive Action by banning one of the most popular rounds of ammunition in the country, and now White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest admitted that the President is “very interested” in using Executive Action to raise taxes.

With it looking increasing likely that Scott Walker is going to run for President in 2016 the mainstream media has its cross hairs aimed (can I sill use that euphemism?) in his direction.
First The New York Times ran a hit piece on the Wisconsin governor which claimed he was responsible for teacher layoffs in 2010, but the problem with that story was an inconvenient little fact which was ignored for obvious political reasons–Scott Walker did not become governor of that state until 2011.
The New York Times eventually was forced to issue a correction. This is something that could have easily been fact-checked if the author of the story was interested in reporting the truth but of course the newspaper’s anti-Walker agenda was not interested in the truth.

I am going to change it up a little bit with the musical selection of the week. Back in the mid to late 1980’s I grew tired of hearing the same songs on the radio over and over again so I began to look around for something different. I stumbled across a small station without much power which was playing what we now call alternative music. Eventually that station grew and when Nirvana and REM broke through to the mainstream alternative music seemed to have been reclassified and suddenly every station started playing this not-so-alternative alternative music.
Here is a video of a song which received some fairly regular play on alternative radio back in the day. The song is entitled “Kitchen at Parties” and it was done by a man by the name of Jona Lewie.

There has been a very interesting turn of events in the IRS’s investigation into Lois Lerner’s lost emails and I have to admit I find it to be surprising simply because I expected this investigation to go nowhere; the IRS Inspector General has confirmed there is now a criminal investigation being conducted over the lost emails.

The IRS’s inspector general confirmed Thursday it is conducting a criminal investigation into how Lois G. Lerner’s emails disappeared, saying it took only two weeks for investigators to find hundreds of tapes the agency’s chief had told Congress were irretrievably destroyed.
Investigators have already scoured 744 backup tapes and gleaned 32,774 unique emails, but just two weeks ago they found an additional 424 tapes that could contain even more Lerner emails, Deputy Inspector General Timothy P. Camus told the House Oversight Committee in a rare late-night hearing meant to look into the status of the investigation.
“There is potential criminal activity,” Mr. Camus said.

Barack Obama to ban AR-15 bullets through Executive action
It has been rumored for a few weeks now that Barack Obama was preparing to ban one of the most common rounds of ammunition in the country through Executive Action and according to this story it is now on the fast track.

As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by target shooters and sportsmen who also like to walk and hike with the hiking watches from the Top9Rated complete list.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives this month revealed that it is proposing to put the ban on 5.56 mm ammo on a fast track, immediately driving up the price of the bullets and prompting retailers, including the huge outdoors company Cabela’s, to urge sportsmen to urge Congress to stop the president.
Earlier this month FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler released his recommended net neutrality rules to the FCC Commissioners, who will vote on these recommendations tomorrow. The secrecy surrounding these new regulations, and the fact that Tom Wheeler placed a gag order on the FCC Commissioners, is troubling because we have no idea what is included in these regulations. It appears as if he does not want the American people to know what is in the regulations until it is too late for them to oppose the regulations.
One of the two Republican Commissioners, Ajit Pai, has been very vocal in his displeasure with the new regulations and yesterday one of the Democratic Commissioners, Mignon Clyburn, asked for the regulations to be scaled back.
This was followed by a push from some left wing organizations to scale back the regulations as well. (How they know what is in the regulations which are being withheld from the American people is a story which should be examined at a later date.) But then Google joined the fray and it now appears as if Tom Wheeler has acquiesced to the demands and has tweaked his proposed regulations.
Are the Chicago police detaining and interrogating American citizens in a secret black site?
When the National Defense Authorization Act and the FAA Re-authorization Act were in the news I wrote quite extensively about the possibility that America was headed into a police state where American citizens could be held indefinitely and without charges as well as the fact that 30,000 unmanned drones would be policing the skies above major United States cities by the year 2020. Couple these two pieces of legislation with the PATRIOT Act and the NSA spying program and you have a recipe for the continued erosion of our Constitutionally protected rights.
I am not alone; many people also feel the same way but yet I feel that most Americans feel as if this is tin-foil hat material, a conspiracy theory, and as such is nothing but the ravings of a paranoid, anti-government radical extremist and something which could never happen in the United States.
Democratic FCC Commissioner asks for proposed net neutrality regulations to be scaled back
Earlier this month FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler released his recommended net neutrality regulations. However “released” is probably not the right word to use for nothing is known by the American people about these potential regulations because only the five FCC Commissioners have been allowed to see the regulations and they have been placed under a gag order.
This led one of the two Republican Commissioners to come out swinging against the recommendations–going so far as to call this “Barack Obama’s plan to regulate the internet.” Of course proponents of the net neutrality regulations–who have no idea what is actually contained within–to naturally claim this was a partisan hack job.
Well that changed today because with the vote just two days away one of the Democratic Commissioners, Mignon Clyburn, has asked Tom Wheeler to scale back the proposed regulations.
