Back in August of last year the CIA admitted it had hacked into the computers of the Senate Intelligence Committee and apologized for the breech. Democrats quickly called for resignations and in my opinion they were right to do so, I just wish they cared as much about what the NSA is doing with its data-mining program. But let that go…
There were no resignations and much like when the Department of Injustice investigated itself over the Fast and Furious scandal, and just like the IRS investigated itself over the targeting scandal, the CIA has investigated itself in the Senate computer hacking scandal.

MIT climate scientist slams Bernie Sanders’ proposed amendment to the Keystone Pipeline bill
Bernie Sanders is seeking to add an amendment to the Keystone Pipeline bill which states the following:
It is the sense of Congress that Congress is in agreement with the opinion of virtually the entire worldwide scientific community that— (1) climate change is real; (2) climate change is caused by human activities; (3) climate change has already caused devastating problems in the United States and around the world.

House votes to defund Barack Obama’s Executive immigration
Earlier today the House passed a bill which would fund the Department of Homeland Security while defunding Barack Obama’s Executive immigration.

The House approved a Department of Homeland Security appropriations package Wednesday that lawmakers say will block President Obama’s executive actions on immigration.
The $39.7 billion DHS appropriations bill to fund the department through fiscal year 2015 passed 236 – 191.
A series of amendments to the bill — aimed at blocking Obama’s executive actions — passed in advance of its final approval.
The amendment spearheaded by Reps. Robert Aderholt (R-AL), Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), and Lou Barletta (R-PA) — intended to block any and all funding for President Obama’s executive amnesty announced on November 20, 2014, future similar policies, and the so-called Morton memos — passed 237 – 190
Most of the comments by Republicans dealt with the overreach of the President on this issue and the lead came from John Boehner who, before the vote, actually sounded as if he was willing to stand up to Barack Obama for once.
The White House claims calling the terrorist attack in France ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ is not accurate
To date Barack Obama has refused to call the terrorist attack in France what it was–an act of terrorism by radicalized Muslims.
Today White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest defended this decision thusly:
“We want to describe exactly what happened. These are individuals who carried out an act of terrorism, and they later tried to justify that act of terrorism by invoking the religion of Islam in their own deviant view of it,” he said.
Critics of Obama have questioned his refusal to identify the terrorist actions as an act of radical Islamic terrorism.
“You cannot win a battle against radical Islamic terrorism if you’re unwilling to utter the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism,’” Sen. Ted Cruz said last June.
“[W]e have not chosen to use that label because it doesn’t seem to accurately describe what had happened,” Earnest said.
Barack Obama begins a new push for new cybersecurity legislation
Back in December of last year America’s Watchtower made a prediction about the Sony hacking story, here it is:
I would like to take this opportunity to make a prediction: The Obama regime is going to try to take advantage of this crisis using the Hegelian Dialectic as proof that it is time to crack down on the internet and give the government more power over it.
America’s Watchtower also made a prediction that this would be a top priority in Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech. We will have to wait a little while longer before we know if the later prediction comes true or not, but today the former prediction did come true today.

Mitt Romney is quickly reassembling his campaign apparatus
Despite multiple past claims to the contrary last week Mitt Romney told former donors that he is seriously considering yet another run at the Presidency in 2016.
It now appears to be a sure thing because, according to this story, he is quickly trying to reassemble his 2012 campaign apparatus.

2014 was not the hottest year on record
Many “climate scientists” have been making the claim that 2014 was the hottest year on record, and they have been using this to claim that something needed to be done shortly in order to save the world from global warming.
What seems to have fueled this hysteria was this August report by Climate Central which claimed that if the trend continued 2014 would be the hottest year on record.
But for all of the hype it turns out that 2014 was not the hottest year on record after all, but it seems as if the “climate scientists” are not interested in this report which was released by Earth System Science Center.

Dianne Feinstein says the Government should not seek felony charges against David Petraeus
Last Friday Eric Holder’s Department of Injustice recommended bringing felony charges against former CIA Director David Petraeus for allegedly passing on classified information to his biographer–who just happened to be his lover.
If what is alleged is true, and if the Department of Injustice has the evidence, than there is nothing that can be said in the defense of the now disgraced general.
However David Petraeus found an unlikely ally in Senator Dianne Feinstein, who had this to say when asked about the Department of Injustice’s decision:

This week’s musical selection is Alice in Chains performing “Down in a Hole” acoustically. If I am not mistaken this is the last performance before lead singer Layne Staley lost his battle with addiction. While usually being associated with grunge or metal music the band was known for the vocal harmonies between Staley and lead guitarist Jerry Cantrell–which is unique in the genres.
