It would be an understatement to say that over the last two days (I would say throughout the conflict) Barack Obama’s Egyptian policy has been quite confusing. First Barack Obama came out and stated that the United States would not be participating in the scheduled joint war games but would still be sending aide to the war-torn country, then Democrat Senator Patrick Leahy stated that he was told by someone in the Obama regime that the United States had in fact secretly cut off aid to Egypt. The White House quickly denied this claim:
Spokesman Josh Earnest said reports that suggest an aid cut-off are “not accurate.” He confirmed that Obama planned to hold a Cabinet meeting Tuesday afternoon, though, to discuss Egypt aid.
Pentagon spokesman George Little also said “no changes have been decided.”
“I am unaware of any de facto suspension of assistance. I don’t know where that came from,” he said of the reports of an aid cut-off.
So either the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing or somebody is lying to the American people. At this point we still do not know what the truth is but we do know that for some reason Barack Obama seems to be walking a tightrope over the issue of aide to Egypt.
MSNBC host claims that if you do not support new gun laws you might he a Neo-Confederate
Today an MSNBC host declared that if you oppose certain gun laws you might be a Neo-Confederate. Here is the link to the video. Her flawed theory goes something like this: because the supporters of the NRA oppose new gun laws at the state level they are Neo-Confederates. The theory is flawed because she is comparing people who are opposed to a state’s right to implement gun laws to people who fought on the premise of state rights. Oh the twisted logic of the liberal!
What needs to be said other than the implication here is that if you oppose new gun laws you are a racist? No word yet on whether she has an opinion on the two black teenagers who shot and killed a white boy because they were bored.
That is justice for Trayvon I suppose, meanwhile the media will be focused on the moron who fired an assault weapon into the air near a school.
When the State Department investigated itself in the wake of the Benghazi terrorist attack which left Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods dead–Stevens after being raped–not surprisingly the department let top officials off the hook and placed the blame on four mid-level employees.
Showing what I am sure Hillary Clinton thought of as leadership she promptly placed three of these officials on leave and fired the fourth.
Today John Kerry basically said to hell with the investigation and reinstated the four deposed individuals. Read more…
Will Mark Steyn be my next Senator?
I am sure most readers of America’s Watchtower know who Mark Steyn is: he is an author with an uncanny wit and a dry, sarcastic sense of humor who sometimes fills in for Rush Limbaugh. (Personally, I only find Rush Limbaugh’s show to be listenable when Mark Steyn is hosting, but that is neither here nor there.) He also happens to be a resident of New Hampshire.
Hugh Hewitt has started a petition to draft Mark Steyn to run against Jeanne Shaheen in the 2014 election. The petition can be seen here.

It turned out to be a fairly busy week blogging-wise and, as per usual with the Obama regime, none of it was good, so I thought I would lighten it up with today’s musical selection.
Are there any MST3K fans out there? If you have not seen the show it basically revolved around a man and two robots who were forced to watch bad movies, and as they sat there they made fun of everything that was happening on the screen in front of them. We watched the movie along with them, with their silhouettes on the bottom of the screen. If you were a fan of the show I just want to say the episodes with Joel were better than the ones with Mike.
Here is Servo singing ‘Tibby, Oh Tibby’ to his turtle before one of the breaks. This episode featured the movie ‘Gamera’ and Tibby was the name of the pet turtle the boy in the movie had. At one point in the movie Tibby gets lost, this seems to have moved servo to song. Of course Crow could not help but insert himself into the song and Tibby’s plight in the movie didn’t seem to have the same profound effect on him.

Federal judge rules former EPA head may have used personal email account for official government business
This is not news to those of us who have been paying attention for we already knew that a former head of the EPA, Lisa Jackson, was most likely using an alias to conduct official government business on a personal email account, but a Federal judge has now ruled that this violation of Federal law might indeed have taken place, and the Competitive Enterprise Institute, via FOIA has learned this is the case:
Jackson reportedly used a “Richard Windsor” alias to communicate with lobbyists.
According to the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s report, Alison Taylor, a vice president for Siemens who was a lobbyist for the company, “emailed Jackson’s ‘Richard Windsor’ account in December 2009 asking if Jackson ‘might be able to spare a few minutes to meet with Siemens’ global sustainability officer (who is my boss) Barbara Kux.'”
“She’d like to meet you and to express her support for your good work on climate,” Taylor wrote.
Jackson, according to records, sent a second email in which she wrote: “P.S. Can you use my home email rather than this one when you need to contact me directly? Tx, Lisa.”
This seems to be a trend within the Obama regime: We already know that HHS head, Kathleen Sebelius, was using a personal account to conduct government business, and more recently we learned that Lois Lerner, of IRS targeting fame, may have also been doing the same.
So much for Barack Obama having the most open, honest, and transparent administration in United States history as promised, it seems as if this regime is not only not any better than any previous regime, but might in fact be worse than any other in United States history.
