Since the AP scandal–and the IRS and Benghazi scandals for that matter–broke many people have been comparing Barack Obama to Richard Nixon. This video does a great job at comparing Richard Nixon’s statements during Watergate to Barack Obama’s responses during the AP scandal and you can see these men have quite a bit in common.
There is one clear distinction between Nixon and Obama however and you will see what it is at the very end of the video.
According to this article the House Judiciary Committee is looking to see if Eric Holder perjured himself while under oath in front of the Congress when he stated two weeks ago that he had never even heard of any journalists being investigated by the Department of Injustice for committing crimes simply for trying to report the news.
This is what Eric Holder had to say back then:
In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy
But then came the report which stated the Department of Injustice has confirmed that Eric Holder was deeply involved in the decision to secretly monitor James Rosen’s emails with the possibility of charging him as a co-conspirator under the Espionage Act and it seems all but certain Eric Holder told a little fib while under oath.
Memorial Day 2013
Today is Memorial Day; a day in which we honor those who have paid the ultimate price so that you and I may go about our daily lives as free men and women. So often I think that people take our freedom for granted and just assume that because we are free we will always remain free, forgetting what it actually takes to ensure that we remain free.
There is one reason and one reason alone that we are able to sit here day after day and discuss what is happening in our government and write about how we feel about what is happening and that is our right to free speech, and that is a right that many, many brave men and women have fought and have died for and we must not forget their sacrifice.There is not a single day that goes by that I do not think about the sacrifice that these people have made, but today is the day that we must all remember to step back and say thank you.
So while you are at your cookout with your families and your friends; while you are cooking on the grill, drinking a few beers, and laughing with the people that you most cherish, please take just a little time out to remember those that have died to make this day possible.
Let us also never forget those who are wearing the uniform today–and the families they have left at home–to sacrifice a part of their life so that we may live ours. All of those that have ever worn the uniform of the United States are heroes and we must never forget what they have done and what they are still doing.

Power, Corruption & Lies! What a better way to describe what we have been seeing in the Obama regime over the last couple of weeks? It also happens to be the name of a 1983 album by the band ‘New Order.’
New Order arose out of the ashes left behind when ‘Joy Division’ front-man Ian Curtis committed suicide. The remaining band members, led by guitarist Bernard Sumner who stepped behind the microphone, formed New Order and went on to become (for better or worse depending on your perspective) the band which could probably be considered the first techo-pop band from which all others followed.
There is no title-track to Power, Lies & Corruption, and that is a shame because it really would have fit here, so I have chosen the song ‘Age of Consent.’ Although Age of Consent has nothing to do with politics I chose it because what we have seen in the Obama regime over the last couple of weeks is that we live in an age where we must consent to the agenda or we will be targeted by the Obama regime in one form or another.

On my way into work on Thursday morning I listened to Jeff Kuhner of WRKO in Boston interview Walid Shoebat and it was some of the most riveting radio I have ever listened to. This was unbelievable radio and I found the audio of the interview at The Right Scoop and just had to share it with all of my readers.
During this interview he even discusses the Obama family’s ties to terrorism, at 30 minutes in length it is a must hear. Walid Shoebat is probably the foremost authority on Islamic terrorism so please make the time to listen to this:
The Department of Justice confirms Eric Holder knew about the James Rosen search warrant
As I wrote about in this post yesterday, it was reported that Eric Holder was the person who signed off on the search warrant to monitor James Rosen’s personal email while labeling him a co-conspirator in violation of the Espionage Act, and if this is true it appears as if Eric Holder perjured himself in Congress last week when he claimed the following:
In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy
The Department of Injustice has now confirmed that while we still don’t know if Eric Holder actually signed off on the search warrant that he was indeed involved in the discussion:
The U.S. Justice Department said on Friday that Attorney General Eric Holder and other senior officials vetted a decision to search an email account belonging to a Fox News reporter whose story on North Korea prompted a leak investigation
The latest Justice Department statement said the highest levels of the department were involved in the search warrant used in Kim’s case. The process included discussions Holder took part in, according to the statement
Last week, while under oath, Eric Holder testified in front of the Congress and he stated that he not only had nothing to do with the AP scandal but that he also never even heard of any cases where the government was pursuing legal action against the press:
In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy
That is an interesting statement indeed considering yesterday it was reported that it was he who signed off on the warrant to investigate James Rosen as a potential co-conspirator in violation of the Espionage Act.
Eric Holder signed the warrant targeting James Rosen, Barack Obama orders Eric Holder to investigate
During his speech today Barack Obama said that he was very worried about journalists being targeted by the Department of Injustice for simply doing their jobs:
“Journalists should not be at legal risk for doing their jobs,” President Obama said. “Our focus must be on those who break the law.”
Because he is so worried about journalists being targeted he asked Eric Holder to conduct a review of the Injustice Department and Eric Holder has agreed to do just that:
“I have raised these issues with the attorney general, who shares my concern. So he has agreed to review existing Department of Justice guidelines governing investigations that involve reporters, and will convene a group of media organizations to hear their concerns as part of that review. And I have directed the attorney general to report back to me by July 12th.”
Shortly after Barack Obama made this announcement it was reported that it was none other than Eric Holder himself who signed the search warrant to investigate reporter James Rosen as a possible co-conspirator in possible violation of the Espionage Act for attempting to do his job, and the warrant also allowed for the targeting of Rosen’s parents.
In other words it was Eric Holder who targeted a reporter, and his family, with the possible intent to punish him for doing his job–precisely what Barack Obama railed against earlier today. In essence Eric Holder has been charged with investigating himself.
In my opinion this should be a fairly quick investigation culminating in the resignation of Eric Holder if Barack Obama is true to his word. I will not be holding my breath as I wait for justice to be done…..
Taking a break from the national politics and scandals of the day for it is time to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the New Hampshire primary.
Over the years many people have complained about the influence a small state such as New Hampshire has in selecting the presidential candidates of both parties but most people probably do not know why New Hampshire enjoys the first in the nation status it currently does in the election process. In fact, to be clear, I did not realize why either, but it is because the New Hampshire primary was the first primary ever.
Up until 1913 the party insiders chose who would be the delegates to the conventions but that changed in New Hampshire when the Bullock Act was passed–for the first time in this nation’s history the people would choose who would represent the parties at the conventions instead of the party bigwigs. This was the first primary in the nation.
And then in 1952 a law was passed in New Hampshire which would allow the people to actually vote in the primary for the presidential candidate they preferred in the parties to represent them, creating the system which is currently in place all across the nation. For the first time in United States history the people had direct input in the presidential race. This had a direct impact immediately:
That year, Granite Staters chose Sen. Estes Kefauver over President Harry Truman in the Democratic presidential primary, prompting Truman not to seek a second term.
To this day New Hampshire law requires the Secretary of State to ensure the New Hampshire primary is the first in the nation and now you might have a little insight into why New Hampshire holds this issue in such high regard.

The big news of the day to come out in the IRS hearing–aside from the claim that Lois Lerner might have accidentally waived her fifth amendment right–and I have a problem with this because a constitutional right is a constitutional right and the claim seems dubious to me although I am no lawyer–is the news that the IRS conducted their own internal investigation in May of last year and concluded they did “inappropriately” target conservative groups but did not bring it to anyone’s attention.
The IRS knew months before the election the department was in error and nothing was said until they decided to preempt the Inspector General report which came out last week–months after the election when it was too late for these groups to participate in the election. Read more…
