Benghazi: The real motive behind the terrorist attack and the reasons for the cover up

February 17, 2013

1353283817444-1523079418A new book is coming out about the Benghazi terrorist attack on September 11th which left Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty dead that has a few interesting revelations in it. The authors of the book conducted an interview with Sean Hannity and you can listen to the interview here.

It is now pretty much a given that the gunrunning Obama regime was also running guns captured in Libya to Syria and this book reaffirms it, but now we know that the Obama regime was actually conducting raids in Libya looking for top al Qaeda leaders and this flies in the face of Barack Obama’s promise that we would only provide support for the war effort but would put no boots on the ground.

Open thread for Sunday, February 17th: Everybody Knows…..

February 17, 2013

Here is the open thread for Sunday, February 17th: please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues may arise during the course of the day.

I am working on a Benghazi update which will be posted tonight and you don’t want to miss it; it will include the true motive behind the terrorist attack as well as the reason why the marines were not at the ‘consulate.’

I have been working quite a bit of extra hours this week and will be doing so next week as well. Between the extra hours, spending time with my family, and keeping up with America’s Watchtower I haven’t been able to visit my favorite blogs or comment on them as I would like so I would like to apologize for not being around as often as usual–things will be getting back to a more normal pace shortly, I think.

You can follow America’s Watchtower on Twitter or Facebook by clicking on the links to the right. Even if you do not use Twitter you can still keep up with my Tweets by using the Twitter feed on the right as well; all my latest Tweets are displayed there and I often Tweet articles which I probably won’t write about on the blog and I think you will find them interesting.

For this week’s musical selection I have chosen a song entitled ‘Everybody Knows’ by the man who is considered to be one of the greatest songwriters and lyricists of all time, Leonard Cohen.

Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died

Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long stem rose
Everybody knows

Afterburner with Bill Whittle: The Shooters

February 16, 2013

Here is the latest ‘Afterburner’ video from Bill Whittle. This one is a little bit different because it isn’t about politics, but rather about the men who put on the uniform and take out people like Osama bin Laden. This, like all the others, is a must see.

Nancy Pelosi on Congressional pay cuts: It undermines the dignity of the job

February 14, 2013

How many times over the last four plus years have we heard politicians such as Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi state that we ALL must sacrifice for the greater good of the nation? We have heard this time and time again and of course we all know when the Democrats talk about sacrifice they are talking about the American people paying higher taxes.

It has been suggested that the Congress should put their money where their mouths are and take a pay cut; what better way for these ruling class elitists to show they are willing to make the same sacrifices they are asking the American people to make?

Nancy Pelosi doesn’t see it that way.

Racist Democrats attack Marco Rubio for drinking water

February 13, 2013

Democrats have been attacking Marco Rubio for drinking water while giving the GOP response to Barack Obama’s State of the Union address.

That seems like an odd line of attack until you realize this is nothing but a racist attack against a Republican. Think about this for a minute: Water is wet right? It seems to me that this is all code for calling Maro Rubio a wet back. By attacking Marco Rubio for drinking water what they really are doing is attacking him for being a minority and showing their true racist tendencies and beliefs. Democrats do not like the fact that a minority is in a position of power and they are using code words to attack him not because they disagree with his policies but rather because he is Cuban.

This post is sarcasm of course, but it does come with a serious point and  it sure does feel good to throw it back in their faces once in awhile, perhaps they can now understand how it feels to be called a racist simply for disagreeing with Barack Obama’s policies.

Homeland Security admits they do not track illegal immigrants who are receiving welfare

February 13, 2013

Whenever the subject of comprehensive immigration reform comes up supporters of amnesty tell us that all these immigrants are decent, hard working people who are only looking to better their lives and the lives of their families by doing jobs which Americans won’t do. And in many cases this is true, I will not deny that point here.

But not all of them are; there are many who come here to drop anchor babies, collect welfare, and live off the taxpayer–to think otherwise would be to be naive. But what is the ratio? That is a question of which we know not the answer. And the reason we don’t have an answer is because the Department of Homeland Security isn’t bothering to track those illegals who are on the public dole:

In a response letter to four top Republican lawmakers, the Department of Homeland Security revealed it initiated only one case against an immigrant for becoming a “public charge,” or being primarily dependent upon the government, in fiscal year 2012. The case was later withdrawn.

The department did, however, admit it does not have the data on immigrants who become public charges after gaining entry or a visa

Why wouldn’t DHS be interesting in this data considering becoming a public charge is grounds for deportation? Could it be possible it is because there are more of them than DHS cares to admit and it doesn’t fit the narrative because in reality the more people in America who are dependent on the federal government the better it is for them and the agenda? That seems very likely to me.

Where was Barack Obama during the Benghazi terrorist attack?

February 12, 2013

The question which should be on everyone’s mind about the Benghazi terrorist attack is this: where was Barack Obama during the attack?

During his testimony on the attack Leon Panetta admitted that after he informed Barack Obama of the attack at hie pre-scheduled 5:00 meeting on September 11th that he didn’t speak to the president again that night.

So where was Barack Obama that night and what was he doing that was so important he never called in to see what was going on? The White House isn’t saying:

On Friday morning, CNSNews.com called the White House press office to inquire about where President Obama was, what he was doing, and who he was communicating with, after 5:30 p.m. on the night of Sept. 11, 2012. At 10:29 a.m. on Friday, CNSNews.com followed up by emailing questions to the White House press office.

On Friday afternoon, CNSNews.com additionally followed up by calling the White House National Security Council press office and also emailing that office the questions. CNSNews.com also followed up on Friday afternoon by again calling the White House Press Office and emailing the questions again to that office.

The White House press office Monday morning confirmed receiving the questions but did not have a timetable for when it could provide answers.

The hero of Fort Hood, Kimberly Munley, claims Barack Obama betrayed the victims of the attack

February 12, 2013

Kimberly Munley is the woman who took three bullets while bringing down Nidal Hassan during the Fort Hood workplace violence terrorist attack. She was treated like the hero she was and even was invited to attend Barack Obama’s State of the Union address a few years ago.

When she met the president he assured her that the victims would be properly taken care of, but today she is singing a different tune by claiming he used her as nothing more than a political prop at the State of the Union address and betrayer her and the other victims of that attack.

Kimberly Munley says President Obama broke the promise he made to her that the victims would be well taken care of.

“Betrayed is a good word,” former Sgt. Munley told ABC News in a tearful interview to be broadcast tonight on “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline.”

“Not to the least little bit have the victims been taken care of,” she said. “In fact they’ve been neglected.”

She is right on both counts. As for being used as a prop, of course she was because this is what Barack Obama has always done: he used “doctors” as props while promoting Obamacare, and he has continued to use the children survivors of the Sandy Hook massacre as props, and will do so again at tonight’s State of the Union address–standard operating procedure for Barack Obama.

Obamacare: California faces a doctor shortage because of the healthcare mandate

February 11, 2013

According to this article California will shortly be facing a doctor shortage as a result of the healthcare mandate.

We’re going to be mandating that every single person in this state have insurance,” said state Sen. Ed Hernandez (D-West Covina), chairman of the Senate Health Committee and leader of the effort to expand professional boundaries. “What good is it if they are going to have a health insurance card but no access to doctors?

(How many of these people are illegal aliens?) Because of this shortage California is beginning to debate the idea of allowing people who are not physicians to begin providing healthcare. Opponents of this proposal claim it will only serve to drive up costs and reduce the quality of healthcare:

Doctors say giving non-physicians more authority and autonomy could jeopardize patient safety. It could also drive up costs, because those workers, who have less medical education and training, tend to order more tests and prescribe more antibiotics, they said.

I can only see one other way to cope with this problem and that would be letting the government decide who gets what treatment–rationing–and that option is not all that appealing, is it?

Welcome to the world of Obamacare, isn’t it wonderful?

Nancy Pelosi claims the federal government doesn’t have a spending problem

February 10, 2013

Nancy Pelosi appeared on Fox News Sunday to discuss the issue of sequester and she echoed the words of Barack Obama when he was negotiating with John Boehner over the fiscal cliff when she declared that America does not have a spending problem.

The federal government spends more money than it takes in so we are forced to either print or borrow more money–a practice Barack Obama once called unpatriotic when it was President Bush who was the irresponsible one–and yet Nancy Pelosi doesn’t think we have a spending problem?

So what then would Nancy Pelosi think the problem is? It is a “budget defect problem.”  In other words; spending is fine, we just need more money and we all know what that means, don’t we?

I think we all can see where this is going: Barack Obama and the Democrat leaders have no intention of cutting any spending in the sequester negotiations, instead opting for more tax increases to pay for their irresponsible spending.

It is clear to me that Barack Obama and the Democrats have no intention of negotiating with the Republicans and why should they when John Boehner and the Republican leadership have caved into Barack Obama at every turn in the past?

At this point the Republicans should walk away from the table and let the sequester take place. Explain to the American people that sequester was the deal that Barack Obama originally wanted and lay the blame for the cuts at his feet. It is true that the media will cover for Barack Obama but what other choice do they have at this point? They are going to lose either way so what difference does it make?
