Gloria Allred heads to court tomorrow in an attempt to unleash an October surprise against Mitt Romney

October 23, 2012

Rumors have been circulating since last week that Gloria Allred was about to inject herself into the presidential race with an October surprise against Mitt Romney, and if this story is true tomorrow will be the day she makes her move.

According to the story Gloria Allred and the Boston Globe will appear in court in Boston tomorrow in an attempt to have sealed testimony unsealed in some case that Mitt Romney was involved in sometime in the past.

There really aren’t more details at this point than that, but it bears watching because this is the way that Barack Obama won his first election to the Illinois state senate and it is not something he is above doing again if it means holding onto power.

Meanwhile Barack Obama’s whole life story is locked away out of sight other than the history he created for himself in his books.

Barack Obama blames the Congress for GITMO remaining open

October 22, 2012

This was a story that was missed last week when Barack Obama appeared on The Daily Show. One of the promises that Barack Obama failed to deliver on was his promise to close GITMO within one year, of course we know that didn’t happen and on The Daily Show he blamed the Congress:

There are some things that we haven’t gotten done. I still want to close Guantanamo. We haven’t been able to get that through Congress,” Obama said during his Oct. 18 appearance on the program

He couldn’t get closing GITMO through the Congress? Didn’t he sign an Executive Order demanding the prison be closed right after taking office? And if I am not mistaken didn’t he have a majority in the House and in the Senate when he took office? I guess this is an admission that he couldn’t get his own party behind him on this issue and his Executive Order was nothing but show to appease his base with no real substance behind it.

And suddenly now he is worried about making sure the Congress “reigns him in” after he has moved around the Congress on issues such as cap and trade and the DREAM Act. While Barack Obama is willing to take all the credit for successes like killing Osama bin Laden he simply isn’t willing to take the blame when he is unable to make good on a promise so he blames the very same Congress he has been working around for many months.

Barack Obama cannot have it both ways, but he sure is trying like hell.

Fort Hood victims are not receiving proper benefits because the Obama regime labeled the attack “workplace violence”

October 22, 2012

I think we can all agree that when a man yells “Allahu Akbar” and then opens fire on unarmed Americans, killing thirteen and injuring dozens more that this is an act of terror.

That is precisely what happened at Fort Hood on November 5th, 2009, yet after telling the American people not to jump to conclusions the Obama regime decided to label this terrorist attack an act of “workplace violence.” This was done for obvious political reasons, Barack Obama did not want to admit that a terrorist attack happened on his watch and on American soil, but the consequences of this decision go well beyond mischaracterizing the attack.

New Mitt Romney ad: Leaders find a way

October 21, 2012

Below is a new ad by Mitt Romney which looks at  Barack Obama’s four years of failed leadership and contrasts it with Mitt Romney’s ability to get things done by working with a legislature which was 85% Democrat.

Open thread for Sunday, October 21st: Fire in Cairo edition

October 21, 2012

Here is the open thread for Sunday, October 21st: feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss the issues of the day as they arise.

The Middle East in on fire as a result of Barack Obama’s support of the Arab Spring and of his policy of leading from behind so today’s musical selection is a cool live acoustic version of The Cure performing ‘Fire in Cairo’ from 1993. The Cure were at the height of their American success after the release of their album ‘Wish’ in 1992, so while the video quality leaves something to be desired this is vintage material from The Cure.

The CIA knew within 24 hours the attack on the American consulate in Libya was a terrorist attack

October 19, 2012

Desperate to find a scapegoat for the cover up, as well as an excuse for the misleading stories coming out of Washington,  in the wake of the terrorist attack on the United States consulate in Libya on the anniversary of September 11th which doesn’t implicate the president the Obama regime has been trying to pin the blame on the intelligence agencies.

The Obama regime continues to state that at the time they were using the intelligence they had available, and that intelligence told them this was a protest over a You Tube video.

Despite the Obama regime’s protestations this story isn’t quite accurate because back on October 8th I wrote this post about an aide to Hillary Clinton, Patrick Kennedy, who knew that the attack was a terrorist attack and not a movie critique gone bad within 24 hours of the attack. If he knew it others did as well.

New ad exposes Barack Obama’s debate lie about calling the Libya attack an “Act of Terror” in the Rose Garden on September 12th

October 18, 2012

If you saw the debate last Tuesday you no doubt heard Barack Obama purposely misrepresent his statement in the Rose Garden the day after the terrorist attack on the consulate in Libya. You also heard the moderator step in to save Barack Obama by agreeing with his assertion even though it was out of context. That night Candy Crowley admitted Mitt Romney was right, although that admission wasn’t heard by nearly the 60 million people who saw the exchange live during the debate and replayed several times afterward. Mission accomplished.

American Crossroads has released a new video which shows brilliantly how the Obama regime tried over and over again to lay the blame for the terrorist attack in Libya on the You Tube video in spite of what Barack Obama claimed during the debate. Here it is:

Open thread for Thursday, October 18th: Supremacy edition

October 18, 2012

Here is the open thread for Thursday, October 18th; please feel free to leave links to interesting articles as well as discussing whatever issues arise during the day.

Last Tuesday ‘Muse’ released their new CD entitled “The 2nd Law’ so I thought I would post an audio clip of the opening track. To my surprise there was already a live video recording of the song so I have included it below. I managed to score general admission tickets last Friday to see the band that has been dubbed “the greatest live act in the world” when they come around next April and I cannot wait to see them!

The song is called ‘Supremacy’ and here it is:

You don’t have long,
I am on to you
The time, it has come to destroy…

Your supremacy

Barack Obama claims the reason gas prices were low when he took office was because the economy was so bad

October 17, 2012

There was one answer from the debate last night that I found very interesting, and that was Barack Obama’s answer to high gas prices. Mitt Romney mentioned that the high price of gasoline is proof that Barack Obama’s energy policies aren’t working.

Barack Obama turned around and blamed George Bush’s economy for the low gas prices:

He said when I took office, the price of gasoline was $1.80, $1.86. Why is that? Because the economy was on the verge of collapse

It was interesting to hear Barack Obama blame George Bush for low gas prices, but I understand Barack Obama’s theory; people had less expendable income therefore they traveled less and the demand for gas went down leading to the drop in gas prices. But isn’t this an admission that Barack Obama feels high energy prices are the new normal? Isn’t he basically saying Americans have a choice to make; a bad economy with low gas prices or a good economy with crippling gas prices? Is he actually trying to make the case that the high gas prices are proof the economy is improving? If so, does any of this bother him?

Solargate: A123 received $250 million in stimulus money, files for bankruptcy

October 16, 2012

Stop me is you’ve heard this one before (and you have 12 times before according to this article) but another green energy company which received stimulus money, A123, has filed for bankruptcy. A123 was awarded a $250 million federal grant under Barack Obama’s green energy initiative and today the company announced it was not enough to keep them afloat any longer.

We can now add A123 to an ever growing list of green energy companies which received stimulus money which have either already filed with a San Diego bankruptcy lawyer or are in serious trouble; that list includes, but is not limited to, Solyndra, Solar Trust, SoloPower, Enir1, BrightSource, Abengoa, SunPower, LightSquared, Tesla, Fisker, and Beacon Power, I recommend to check nvfirm.com if you want to get to know about ch 7 bankruptcy and it works. All of these companies have ties to either Democrat donors or Democrat operatives. Many of those dealing with money issues hire a lawyer to make sure the process is taken care of.

According to the recent report by a Milwaukee bankruptcy attorney about what Mitt Romney said during the last debate when he told Barack Obama, “you don’t pick winners and losers, you pick losers.” He was 100% right and at this point it can no longer be written off as simply bad investments or decisions because there are simply too many for Barack Obama not to have known the risks associated with these companies. Yet he pushed forward with these investments for  ideological and political reasons, hoping and praying they would pay off in the long term. (Both for his agenda and for the Democrats who hoped to profit from these decisions.)

Barack Obama put his heart–and Democrat donors–ahead of his head, the information he had available, and the taxpayers. He let his vision cloud his judgement and now we are all going to pay the price.
