In what should send a clear message to the Obama regime, as many as 22 states will be considering immigration laws in the future that are similar to the controversial immigration law that Arizona has recently passed which is currently facing a constitutional challenge by the federal government.
The American people have spoken; they agree with Arizona and disagree with the president’s position on illegal immigration. And now the states are beginning to act on the will of the people.
Darrell Issa has released a 37 page report in which he claims that Barack Obama may be violating federal laws by using taxpayer funds to pay for what amounts to a propaganda effort. He is now calling for the Government Accountability Office to investigate whether or not taxpayer funds were used for political purposes.
Specifically, the report points to websites it claims contain false or misleading information, such as Recovery.gov and HealthReform.gov, as well as to a conference call during which a White House staff member urged artists and entertainers to support President Obama’s agenda.
Many people have asked for an investigation into where the funding for the Ground Zero mosque was coming from but as of yet nobody with the authority in the Congress has been willing to begin investigating where the funding for this mosque is actually coming from. This news is all the more troubling mow that we have learned that the developers will not rule out accepting money from Saudi Arabia and even Iran.
Now we have learned that there is a group of people that Nancy Pelosi is interested in opening up an investigation on. Nancy Pelosi is now claiming that she would be willing to open an investigation into the groups that oppose building the Ground Zero mosque.
This news is several days old, so first let me apologize for not getting to it sooner.
One Arizona sheriff–Larry Dever–has now admitted that the situation at the Arizona/Mexican border has deteriorated to the point where it is now too dangerous for the border patrol agents, and because of this several counties in Arizona are refusing to deploy agents to the border.
And you frankly have Border Patrolmen–and I know this from talking to Border Patrol agents—who will not allow their agents to work on the border because it is too dangerous,” Dever told CNSNews.com in a videotaped interview. “Now what kind of message is that for crying out loud?
He does not blame the border patrol agents for this decision, claiming that they still want to do the jobs that they signed up to do, but rather he is blaming management for being unwilling to commit to the job that they are supposed to be doing. Read more…
Harry Reid is opposed to the Ground Zero mosque
In a way we should all be thankful that Barack Obama waded into the Ground Zero mosque controversy when he defended the notion that a mosque should be built on Ground Zero–a premise that he is now trying unsuccessfully to back away from–because he has turned this issue into a major campaign issue right before the November midterm elections.
Politicians on both sides of the aisle are now going to be asked if they support the idea that a mosque should be built on Ground Zero. At issue here is not the constitutionality of building this mosque–we all know that the constitution guarantees Muslims the right to the same freedom of religion that we all enjoy, we didn’t need Barack Obama to tell us this–but whether or not they SHOULD build the mosque here.
Barack Obama is now claiming that he was only saying that Muslims have the constitutional right to build this mosque, but he is unwilling to state whether or not the SHOULD build this mosque. He is too afraid to offer an opinion about this so we are only left to guess that once again Barack Obama differs with the majority of Americans, only this time he is unwilling to make his feelings public.
In a time when the Democrats face the possibility of heavy loses in the Congress the last thing they needed was to be asked to weigh in on this controversial issue, but thanks to Barack Obama they are going to have to take a stand on the Ground Zero mosque–unlike Barack Obama, they will not be afforded the luxury of not taking a stand.
Today Harry Reid–who is facing a tough re-election bid–was asked about his position on the Ground Zero mosque.
Known once as the man who would aggressively push forward President Bush’s agenda Tom Delay naturally became a target of the left. Tom Delay was an effective House majority leader and as such the Democrats knew that they must rid themselves of his presence.
When the news broke of possible ties between Tom Delay and jailed former lobbyist Jack Abramoff game to light Democrats quickly seized on this opportunity and were able to force Tom Delay to resign.
With the Obama regime readying a push to grant illegal aliens amnesty this issue could be at the forefront of the midterm elections in November. There has been much talk lately about the possibility of amending the 14th amendment to end birthright citizenship for babies born to parents of illegal aliens while they are on American soil.
So as the election approaches here in New Hampshire, all of the candidates running for the senate seat that is being vacated by the retiring Judd Gregg, were asked where they stand on the issue of amending the 14th amendment.
It goes without saying that the lone Democrat running for this seat–Paul Hodes–is against amending the 14th amendment. But where do the Republican candidates for the Senate stand? They are split on this issue.
America’s Watchtower endorses John Stephen for governor
I have finally made my choice for governor and his name is John Stephen. I suppose this is no surprise as he far and away the front-runner in the Republican primary, but I wanted to give the other candidates a good look before making my decision.
John Stephen’s “First in the Nation Plan” is exactly what this state needs at this time. He promises to stimulate growth by cutting taxes that affect small businesses as well as repealing many of the taxes and fees that John Lynch has imposed on the people over his time in office. (Anyone registering a car this year knows exactly what I am talking about as we were hit with a temporary surcharge.)

The impact of tax and fee increases on the working families of New Hampshire has been devastating. From new fees to register cars, to new taxes on beer and wine, to taxing gambling winnings and even requiring a license to go salt water fishing, there seems to be no end in sight to the ways the folks in Concord will try get into our wallets. We will repeal some of these taxes and fees on New Hampshire citizens passed over the past two budgets so that people in the State House know that nickel and diming the citizens of New Hampshire is not an acceptable practice.
He is also pledging to fight for an amendment to the state constitution that would require a super majority 3/5ths vote on any bill that would raise taxes in the state. I think that this is a great idea.
John Stephen on state’s rights:
States like New Hampshire face a seemingly never ending assault on their rights by an ever encroaching federal government. We must stand up to Washington and let them know they may not run New Hampshire the way they have mismanaged their level.
One of my first acts as Governor will be to direct the Attorney General to have New Hampshire join the 22 other states that have filed suit against the federal government to block the Obamacare overreach into states‟ rights. We simply cannot and will not accept the outrageous mandates from Washington that this bill presents – over $1 billion in cost shift to state taxpayers over 10 years. That‟s unacceptable and we will not lie down and get steamrolled by the federal government.
We will also join with other states to stop the growing efforts to regulate states through mandates and micro-managing state and local functions like health care, education and law enforcement. We need to remind Congress and the Administration that there is a 10th Amendment and that we expect them to follow it.
It is encouraging to know that if elected New Hampshire will join the lawsuit against the mandates in the healthcare reform legislation, and also that he intends to protect New Hampshire from the over-reaching federal government.
As far as the second amendment goes. John Stephens believes that New Hampshire should adopt the “Castle Doctrine” which basically states that a man or woman can defend his or her home and property without first having to try to retreat.
John Stephen is on the right side of every issue and we need a person like this in New Hampshire–a man who will defend our state from an over-reaching federal government, a man who will stop the out of control spending of Governor Lynch,a man that will repeal many of the onerous taxes that have been thrust upon the citizens of New Hampshire, and a man that we can count on to uphold the second amendment.

I haven’t written anything about the Ground Zero mosque up until this point because, frankly, it sickens me so much that I haven’t been able to bring myself write about it. But with the news that Barack Obama has come out and endorsed the idea I can remain silent no more.
