Ovide Lamontagne releases first radio ad
Over the past several weeks the local airwaves have been filled with political advertisements from Kelly Ayotte and Bill Binnie. Kelly Ayotte is the well funded “establishment” candidate who was endorsed by Sarah Palin, while Bill Binnie is a self-made millionaire who has spent millions of his own money in an ad blitz.
I do not harbor ill will towards either Kelly Ayotte or Bill Binnie simply because they have the money to spend on this campaign, but while they are busy attacking each other and claiming that they are the real conservative, the one true conservative in this race is running a grassroots campaign with little money.
Ovide Lamontagne doesn’t have the money that either Kelly Ayotte or Bill Binnie has, but he is on the ground meeting people, building a base, and making a push towards replacing Judd Gregg as the next senator from New Hampshire. I do have to admit that it is frustrating to see the candidate that I support not be able to compete on the airwaves up until this point with the two front-runners in this campaign, but that has changed as Ovide Lamontagne has finally run his first radio spot. I heard it earlier today for the first time, here it is:
Barack Obama’s justice department has argued in court that race can be considered in making immigration arrests
One of the main criticisms of Arizona’s controversial immigration law is the argument that it will lead to racial profiling. Barack Obama’s regime is currently challenging the law based on constitutional jurisdiction, but we all know that one of the main reasons that the regime is challenging this law is because they are trying to appease those that believe this is a racist law.
Arizona’s law requires that a person be stopped for a primary offense first, and if that person is suspected of being here illegally the police have the right to ask for proof of citizenship. This is the part of the law that has seemed to draw the most ire from the left.
Imagine my surprise when I read this story about how the Obama justice department has argued in court at least three times that race can be used as a factor in arresting a person believed to be in the country illegally.
Charlie Rangel lashes out at Barack Obama’s “dignity” remark
Barack Obama has learned quite a bit from Joe Biden–every time he opens his mouth he sticks his foot in it. The latest example of Barack Obama’s “open mouth, insert foot” disease comes from the comment he made regarding Charlie Rangel’s indictment on corruption charges when he stated that it was time for Charlie Rangel to “end his career with dignity.”
I happen to agree with Barack Obama, it is beyond time for Charlie Rangel to end his career.
The hits just keep on coming for the imam behind the building of the Ground Zero mosque–Feisal Abdul Rauf–this time for having stated that the sanctions against Iraq were an act of terrorism.
We must understand, terrorism is any act of violence which is waged on non-combatants or civilians with a political objective
He uttered those words while speaking about the United Nations imposed sanctions on Iraq. I would ask Feisal Abdul Rauf whether or not he considered Saddam Hussein a terrorist–besides the horrible acts he authorized during his reign, the wood chipper comes to mind here–after all, didn’t Saddam Hussein take the money from the “oil for food program” he was supposed to use to feed Iraqis and use it instead to enrich himself? According to Feisal Abdul Rauf’s definition of terrorism, that scandal alone would qualify Saddam Hussein as a terrorist.
Ground Zero mosque imam claims America is worse than al-Qaeda
We are slowly but surely beginning to learn more about Feisal Abdul Rauf–the imam behind the Ground Zero mosque–and the more we learn about him the more we have to question his motives behind building a mosque on this location.
We already know that Feisal Abdul Rauf called America “an accessory to the crime,” in reference to the September 11th attacks, but now we have learned that this imam has also stated that the United States is worse than al-Qaeda.
Judge rules against Barack Obama’s stem cell policy
Today a United States justice stopped Barack Obama’s policy of providing federal funding of embryonic stem cell research stating that it violates the Dickey-Wicker Amendment that is added every year to the federal budget.
The Dickey-Wicker Amendment specifically bans the use of federal funding for the destruction of human embryos. Judge Royce Lamberth ruled that embryonic stem cell research did in fact destroy human embryos, therefore the Obama regime’s policy of providing federal funding to this procedure is against the law.
The Department of Justice may bring charges against WikiLeaks for releasing Afghanistan war documents
By now everybody knows the story about the classified documents that WikiLeaks posted on their website last month. Until today I have not posted anything about this issue, but with the news today that the Army, the Department of Justice, and the FBI are investigating and may be pursuing criminal charges against the founder of WikiLeaks–Julian Assange–I feel it is time to comment on this issue.
Putting aside the fact that during the Bush administration the left admired and defended such whistleblowers as performing an admirable service for the American people, I have to say that I agree with this decision. The left is now coming to their senses–even if it is only to protect one of their own in Barack Obama–on the issue of whistleblowers, and for their finally seeing the light and admitting that what they once called whistleblowing they now consider an issue of national defense, I have to give them credit.
With all of the spending that the Obama regime has done it is only natural that cuts in funding would have to come from somewhere–the regime just couldn’t continue to print money and borrow from China without making some cuts.
Under an immigration law that was passed in 2004, the Department of Homeland Security was supposed to receive funding to build an additional 40,000 detention spaces to hold illegal aliens. But guess that? The Obama regime–and his all too willing accomplices in the Congress–cut most of this funding (this defunding parallels the Democrat takeover of the Congress, and was exacerbated by Barack Obama’s ascension to the White House) and only a small portion of these detention centers were actually built.
There may be a new twist in the ongoing saga of the Ground Zero mosque as construction workers are beginning to claim that they will not sign on to build the mosque if they are asked. This is a question that I have been asking myself for quite awhile, will there be workers that stand on principle and put that principle above a paycheck? We are now beginning to see that there are many who will do just that. The workers are also a little scared due to some backhoe accidents that have happened before
It’s a very touchy thing because they want to do this on sacred ground,” said Dave Kaiser, 38, a blaster who is working to rebuild the World Trade Center site.
“I wouldn’t work there, especially after I found out about what the imam said about U.S. policy being responsible for 9/11,” Kaiser said
And he is not alone as there are a growing number of construction workers who are vowing not to help build the Ground Zero mosque. This movement started when one construction worker started the “Hard Hat Pledge” on his blog and asked other construction workers to join him in his pledge to turn down the work if asked to help build the Ground Zero mosque.
Massachusetts governor embraces radical Imam while accepting money to teach Boston police tolerance
After recent terrorist plots that originated in Boston were uncovered and thwarted, and after arrests were made of five radical Muslims in these cases, Imam Faarooq made a call to arms–from a mosque that was built on land that Boston Mayor Tom Menino gave to the radicals at a cut rate. He stated that it was up to the Muslim Brotherhood to “pick up the gun and the sword” and do their jobs. He was speaking about seeking revenge on those that arrested the terrorists.
Shortly after this speech in which he called to arms his Muslim brothers, he gave a check in the amount of $50,000 to Martha Coakley’s office that was to be used to teach Boston police officers tolerance toward his views and was subsequently hugged by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.

In a case of political correctness and liberalism run amuck Governor Patrick embraced the man–and by proxy the men who support beating women, killing Jews, homosexuals, and infidels while at the same time accepting a check that would train Massachusetts police officers to be tolerant of these intolerant views and criminal actions. The most intolerant among us are preaching to us that we must tolerate them and they are backing up this absurd claim with a check to ensure that Boston police become more tolerant of their radical ideology. And Tom Menino and Deval Patrick are on board with this notion and are backing this man 100%.
This is what we are dealing with in this new politically correct country where so much is backwards; radicalized Muslims are being treated as victims while those that try to bring justice upon them are headed to sensitivity training. We need to wake up, and wake up fast!
