Climategate: Phil Jones admits global warming ended in 1995
Here is the latest news on the Climategate scandal: Phil Jones– the man at the center of the Climategate leaked email scandal– was interviewed by the BBC and during this interview he had some very interesting comments, to say the least.
Besides the leaked emails that showed the IPCC was ignoring the data that would have helped to disprove the notion of man-made global warming, and besides the fact that the IPCC made false claims about the Himalayan glaciers melting, and besides the fact that the IPCC made false claims about the rising seal levels in the Netherlands, and besides the fact that the IPCC used faulty data from China to prove the global warming hoax, we now have Phil Jones making even more startling revelations.
Just when the global warming alarmists thought the news couldn’t get any worse for their cause, the news comes out that Phil Jones is now admitting that not only has the earth not warmed since 1995, but that the earth was probably warmer in medieval times than it is right now. He has also admitted that the earth has gone through natural heating periods.
But that is not all; Phil Jones has admitted that his record keeping is very suspect and that he has “lost track” of much of the data that was used to create the now infamous “hockey stick graph.” How convenient is that?
Phil Jones admits that the two most recent warming periods– the latest warming period ending in 1998– were natural occurring events and that man had nothing to do with them, however he still is trying to claim that this latest warming trend cannot be explained by natural means. He must have forgotten that he already admitted the earth hasn’t been warming since 1995 when he made that statement. That is the problem with compulsive liars such as Phil Jones– they lie so much they can’t keep their stories straight.
Here we have the former head of the IPCC admitting that the earth may have been warmer in medieval times than it is now, and this is the same man who admits that he has “lost track” of some crucial data that is supposed to prove the whole global warming argument and he is still unwilling to admit that he has done anything wrong. He is still unwilling to admit that he– and the IPCC– is full of shit.
This “crisis” is nothing but a house of cards; it has been built on a foundation of lies and finally the lies are being exposed. The jig is up, if these people had any dignity and sence of morality they would slink quietly into the night never to be heard from again. But we know that isn’t going to happen, so the only thing to do is to open an investigation into the Climategate scandal– I know I keep saying this but it is the only responsible thing to do when you consider the amount of money that is being, and will be, spent on this issue.
Not one more single American taxpayer dime should be spent on the issue of global warming until a full investigation has been conducted. In light of all the recent evidence, and with the admissions of Phil Jones, it is the least our government could do for us on this issue. But still I don’t hear the outcry from Washington on this issue from either side of the aisle; they seem to hope they can ignore it and make it go away.
The American people need to make sure Climategate isn’t swept under the rug; there is too much of our money at stake on this contrived “crisis,” to just ignore the facts that are coming out on an almost daily basis. It is time to turn up the heat on the global warming alarmists and their friends in Washington.
Climategate: IPCC admits sea level flaw in Netherlands data
As if it wasn’t bad enough for the IPCC with the news of the Climategate scandal which revealed scientists were intentionally hiding data that would have disproved the global warming scam, and the news that the Himalayan glaciers are not melting as they claimed, and the news that the data from China on rising temperatures was flawed, there is yet another controversy surrounding the IPCC: we have now learned that the IPCC’s data on the rising seal levels in the Netherlands is also flawed.
The IPCC claimed that 55% of the Netherlands was under seal level but that is not true. The IPCC tried to “adjust” the report once the error was revealed to state that 55% of the Netherlands is either under sea level or susceptible to flooding. But there is still one problem with that statement; it isn’t true either. It turns out that only 26% of the country is under seal level and only 29% of the country is susceptible to flooding.
The more that we learn about the IPCC and their data, the more we realize that this organization is either inept and cannot accurately gather and assess data, or they are purposely manipulating the data in an effort to push their agenda forward and heighten the people’s sense of crisis.
Which is worse?
If the evidence is as “overwhelming” as the president claims it is, why would the IPCC have to manipulate the data? Or if this was an unintentional error– along with all the other errors we have learned about– isn’t it time to investigate this organization before we commit billions of dollars to an issue that has so many inept people working in it? The evidence doesn’t seem so overwhelming when you take into account the fact that the IPCC is admitting all of these errors.
I asked, which is worse, the deliberate manipulating of data to reach a certain goal, or the IPCC having such incompetence in the organization that they are constantly making this type of mistake? In the end I don’t think it matters, we are all going to pay for this, and the bottom line is that the data is flawed– intentionally or unintentionally– and we can’t risk spending this type of money when the very legitimacy of climate change is now in question. It is time to begin investigating the IPCC.
Harry Reid stuns the White House by killing the bipartisan jobs bill
Democrats and Republicans have been working on a bipartisan jobs bill– a bill the president supports– for several weeks. Max Baucus and Charles Grassley have been working together with some input and apparent support from Harry Reid. But after the bill was completed, and an announcement was set to be made, Harry Reid blindsided Democrats, Republicans, and the White House by scrapping the bill and replacing it with a cheaper, less bloated bill.
I am not going to sit here and pretend I am outraged at a big, expensive bill being scrapped in favor of a smaller bill. I am not upset that this bill was scrapped, but I do question Harry Reid’s manner in doing so.
Harry Reid let Baucus and Grassley work on this bill for several weeks, while giving input and apparently supporting the bill only to scuttle it after the work was done. How long did he know he wasn’t going to support the bill while he was deceiving the authors and both parties, along with the White House? It doesn’t seem to me that this would have been a last minute decision, he had to have been thinking about it for awhile. The only reason I can see for Reid waiting until the bill was finished, would be that he wanted to time his announcement so that it would make the biggest splash. He suddenly wanted to show fiscal discipline, and this would give him the biggest stage to do so.
This certainly seems like an underhanded move. Hasn’t the biggest complaint from the Democrats and the White House been the fact that Republicans are not willing to work with Democrats– that the only position Republicans had was to oppose whatever the Democrats proposed? That whole party of no thing? Here we have an issue in which Republicans and Democrats were working together only to have Harry Reid scrap the bill at the last minute and without warning stunning members of both parties.
How are Republicans supposed to take Harry Reid and the Democrats at their word anymore? How can they trust that the Democrats are really willing to work with the Republicans after Harry Reid pulls off a stunt like this? It seems that this will just set back party relations which were already strained to begin with.
So what was Harry Reid’s ultimate motivation in finally showing a little fiscal restraint? Why, the 2010 elections of course. He was afraid that “Republicans would have beaten the living shit out of us,” during the 2010 election cycle because the bill was too big and too bloated. Imagine that, Harry Reid afraid of a bloated spending bill.
While I don’t begrudge Harry Reid or the Democrats for worrying about the 2010 election– they should be worried– I find it interesting because Harry Reid is ignoring one of the demands that Barack Obama made while he was scolding congress at his State of the Union address. Barack Obama said that the era of “perpetual campaigning” had to end and that Democrats and Republicans had to stop worrying about what was best for themselves– their re-election– and start worrying about what was best for America. I am not arguing that this jobs bill was best for America, I am simply stating that Barack Obama’s support for the bill leads us to believe he does think this bill was best for America and Harry Reid has ignored what Obama thinks is best for America to serve his own selfish purposes. This is in direct contrast to the demand that Barack Obama placed on congress at his State of the Union address.
It seems to me that the recent election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts may be having an effect on the mindset of the Democrats after all. Does anybody think that if Martha Coakley had won the election that Harry Reid would have been motivated to kill a spending bill that the president supported? I don’t think so, it would have been business as usual. Maybe Democrats are taking that stunning Massachusetts election result to heart. Maybe they have finally realized that Americans are fed up with all of the spending in Washington.
This could be the beginning of the Scott Brown effect as re-election campaigns begin to kick off all across the country. If we are seeing the beginning of the Scott Brown effect in Washington, than we have already won, but the victory is not complete. We have won the debate on the issues and it will be time to reenforce that victory at the polls in November. If we do not vote them out now we will be giving them free reign and licence to do whatever they want for the next two years.
We may be winning the battle, but we can never let up. We must remain firm and resolute. We are on the verge, but we must push forward until final victory has been achieved.
With the Climategate scandal and the recent revelations that scientists deliberately hid faulty data that was aquired from China, you would think that the 20 plus inches of snow that fell on Washington DC last week would be enough to shut these people up for a while. You would be wrong.
The global warming alarmists are blaming the warming of the planet for the snow that has been falling on Washington DC. They claim that abnormal snowfall is a result of global warming.

The reason for the recent change in terms from “global warming” to “climate change” was done precisely for this reason and this reason alone– once it was realized that the earth has actually been cooling for the last decade something had to be done by these alarmists in order to keep their fraud alive and this change in terms was just what the doctor ordered.
With the term “climate change” anything can be explained away as being the result of man-made carbon emissions– even snowfall in the Winter. The climate does change on a regular basis, it is called seasons. During the Winter it snows and we can see blizzards. During the Summer it gets hotter and we can see hurricanes and tropical storms. This has been true as long as the earth has existed and frankly I feel a little irritated that I have to state such an obvious fact, but these alarmists will stop at nothing to push their agenda–even blaming natural seasonal occurences on man-made carbon emissions– so it has to be said.
I am beginning to lose my patience with these people. They are in the midst of a major scandal and yet they continue to push this fraudulent crisis. Barack Obama is in the process of creating a new government agency to study this issue– even in the face of the growing scandal– unwilling to at least investigate the Climategate claims, or even admit that there is a scandal.
These people have lost all credibility– if they ever had any in the first place– and instead of cowering in a corner while hoping this scandal will disappear, they have come out swinging. Barack Obama included.
There is an ongoing congressional investigation into the Fort Hood terrorist attack. Last month Pete Hoekstra, the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, complained that Barack Obama was remaining mum on questions that were being asked about the attack and today we have learned that Kit Bond, the vice-chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, shares the same concerns.

Why isn’t the administration furnishing the information that the two intelligence committees are asking for? What are they trying to hide and who are they trying to protect?
There is something strange going on here and I don’t know what it is. Is the administration trying to hide the fact that Hasan was an extremist Muslim? Is the administration trying to protect somebody– whether it is Barack Obama, Janet Napolitano, or someone else in Homeland Security? Is the administration trying to hide the fact that politically correct policies were what failed the heroes that were massacred by this terrorist?
There is a reason that the administration is not forthcoming with this information and I have to believe that either the president and his policies are partly to blame for the atmosphere that led to the attacks, or the administration is afraid that calling Hasan an extremist will upset the Muslim world.
While Hasan bears the full responsibility for the attack itself, someone has to be held accountable for the atmosphere and the conditions that allowed Hasan to be promoted when he should have been discharged from the military in the first place.
This is what can happen when political correctness is allowed to rule the day.
The Obama administration wants to track cell phone calls, stating Americans don’t have a “reasonable expectation of privacy”
During the campaign Barack Obama promised to end the warrantless wiretapping of telephones belonging to United States citizens. But his actions as president do not quite live up to his promises as a candidate; he continued President Bush wiretapping program and his administration even threw out a lawsuit that was brought against the program.
And now his administration has gone one step further. In a wiretapping lawsuit that is entering appeals court, the Obama administration is arguing that Americans don’t have a “reasonable expectation of privacy” in regards to their cellphone conversations or the location of where they have used their cellphones.
This seems to be at odds with the position that he had taken as a candidate when he was so adamant that President Bush was trampling the rights of the people by listening in on their conversations, which was not happening without proper suspicions that those people were in contact with dubious people overseas.
In President Bush’s case, he was using the warrentless wiretapping to track potential terrorist activity. In this case, the question is not one terrorism but criminal activity. Barack Obama considers terrorism a crime and not an act of war, so what is the difference between the Bush plan and the Obama plan? How can he justify one plan while railing against the other?
This is one decision that is sure to anger the left, and it will be interesting to see if they try to justify it after attacking President Bush for years for using the same type of activity that their leader is now advocating and defending.
Barack Obama refuses to rule out middle class tax hikes
“I can make a firm pledge under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

Barack Obama repeatedly made the promise above to middle class Americans while on the campaign trail. He promised that middle class Americans would not see any of their taxes increased even a dime. He has already broken that promise when he signed a bill that increased the federal tax on cigarettes and now comes the news that Barack Obama is not ruling out a tax increase on families making under $250,000 a year.
He made this admission during an interview when he claimed that he would remain “agnostic” on proposals for tax increases to solve the budget deficit. This is an admission that he has not ruled out taxes on families making under $250,000, a blatant about face on one of his most infamous campaign promises.
He refuses to admit that his administration has spent too much money, claiming that there is an income problem in the federal government rather than a spending problem.
Our real problem is not the spike in spending last year, or the lost, even the lost revenues last year, as significant as those are. The real problem has to do with the fact that there is a just a mismatch between the amount of money coming in and the amount of money going out
If you are spending more money than you are taking in, that constitutes a spending problem does it not? If a family is spending more money than they earn it is because they have a spending problem and they make the proper budget adjustments to curb their spending. This is not so with the government; if the government spends too much money they have an easy way out of it without cutting spending. They do what working class families cannot, they raise their revenues. They raise taxes.
Many of us realized during the campaign that Barack Obama’s numbers did not add up, and he has spent even more money than most of us thought he would. There was no way he could raise and spend the money on the programs that he promised by simply raising taxes on the rich. More money had to come from somewhere else and now he has admitted that that money may have to come from Americans who are working hard and just barely scraping by.
People who tried to bring to light the fact that Barack Obama was eventually going to raise taxes on the middle class were accused of fear mongering and distorting the truth. But the admission by Barack Obama that he has not ruled out middle class tax hikes is proof that we were right all along.
I hate to say I told you so, and I wish I was wrong, but I did and I wasn’t.
Michelle Obama claims childhood obesity is a national security issue
Michelle Obama unveiled her new “Let’s Move” campaign to fight childhood obesity, while this may be a noble effort I disagree with the premise that this is a job that the government should be involved in. Fighting childhood obesity should be left up to the parents and their children’s doctors. But that is not the purpose of this post.
During Michelle Obama’s unveiling of this new program, she actually claimed that childhood obesity was a national security issue. How could she possibly make that assertion?
She said that “this epidemic also impacts the nation’s security, as obesity is now one of the most common disqualifiers for military service.” It is certainly a stretch to equate obesity as a disqualification for military service as an issue of national security.
I understand the point that she was trying to make, but it is a reach and it was made in an effort to gain support for another costly government program in the guise of national security to gain support from those who otherwise would never support it.
I think that this move was very transparent, unlike anything else in the Obama administration.
Barack Obama to create a new government Climate Change agency
Despite the Climategate scandal and the 20” of snow that fell on Washington DC and in spite of the 14” that are predicted to fall on Washington DC tomorrow, Barack Obama has decided to set up a bloated federal agency to study global warming.
If this news doesn’t convince all of his supporters– the few that are left– that Barack Obama is out of touch with mainstream America, nothing will. Does anybody think that it is a good idea to use the taxpayer’s money to fund yet another government agency? Especially one funded to study an issue that is now so obviously manufactured. And in this economy.
Americans are struggling to make ends meet; unemployment is hovering around or above 10% and Barack Obama doesn’t seem to give a damn about it. First he tried to push healthcare reform ahead of a jobs bill, and now he has announced that he will created another government agency– spending taxpayer money– to study an issue that will not help ordinary Americans get new jobs.
Barack Obama tried to claim that the “healthcare crisis” and healthcare reform were tied to the economy, and that passing healthcare reform would help the economy. That is why he claimed there was such a rush to pass healthcare reform, but now that Harry Reid has admitted there is no rush to pass healthcare reform we can only assume that Barack Obama was “sexing up” the link between the economy and healthcare reform. Surely if that link truly existed congress would not be so willing to put this issue on the back-burner.
Barack Obama is now going to make the same argument for global warming. He is going to claim that “going green” is going to open up job opportunities for people to get in on the new markets that will be created. He is right that there are going to be jobs opening up in the clean energy field, but the question is, will this provide enough work for the American people to justify the expense of the new agency? I highly doubt it.
The bottom line is that Barack Obama simply does not get it. Healthcare reform and global warming are way down on the list of voter issues, far behind the economy and jobs. Yet Barack Obama cannot let go of these two issues. He has a radical left wing agenda and he going to pursue that agenda come hell or high water; he appears oblivious to the concerns of the American people.
While most job markets are shrinking, the one field that is growing is the government. The government is getting bigger and bigger while the public sector is seeing jobs disappear, and that is exactly what Barack Obama wants, bigger government with more people reliant on it.
Recently, in his speech in New Hampshire, Barack Obama lectured the people about what they can and cannot do when times get tough. He named such common sense things as not buying a boat when you can’t afford it and not taking a trip to Las Vegas when you are having trouble making ends meet. Why doesn’t the government follow these same rules when times are tough? Shouldn’t Barack Obama heed his own warnings and not spend money that we do not have? That would be the common sense thing to do.
The Climategate scandal is growing every day as we learn more details about the IPCC and yet this president continues forward on this issue with blinders on. There is no way to justify creating this new agency when there is no money to do so and while the very “science” used to promote global warming is so much in question.
The EPA recently ruled that greenhouse gases caused by humans were such a danger to the public health that they had the right to regulate these emissions without congress enacting any new laws.
With Barack Obama’s cap and trade legislation in peril, it seems as though the EPA is poised to move forward with Obama’s vision without there being anything that we can do about it. It looks as if we are going to get cap and trade regulations passed one way or the other. Either Barack Obama will push a cap and trade bill through congress, or the EPA will enact what amounts to a cap and trade bill through regulations.
Or will they?
Three House Democrats are not happy about the EPA’s recent finding and are introducing legislation that would stop the EPA from regulating carbon emissions without the approval of congress.
This sounds good and it is certainly a step in the right direction, but we must remember that these three Democrats are not against cap and trade legislation, they just don’t want the EPA to enact it– they want to do that themselves. The good news is that if this legislation passes it will put the responsibility of cap and trade legislation back where it belongs, with our elected officials instead of with the unelected EPA. This will give us the chance to vote out of office all of those who are all too willing to go along with the climate change hoax.
The issue these three Democrats have with the EPA’s ruling is that they believe the EPA has overstepped the authority that it was granted in the Clean Air Act– the Clean Air Act was not designed to combat global warming. They are now looking to stop the EPA from using the power that it has granted itself.
And it turns out that these three House Democrats are not alone; 35 Senate Republicans have also co-sponsored a bill that offered a “disapproval resolution” on the way the EPA is handling this issue. Three Democrats– and their names may surprise you– have signed onto this bill as well. Blanche Lincoln, Ben Nelson, and Mary Landrieu are the three Democrats. These three Democrats are considered vulnerable in the upcoming elections and suddenly they are ready to side with the Republicans on the issue of cap and trade. While in all likelihood nothing is going to come of this legislation, there is a chance that during an election year this could gain some traction.
I just wonder, if this is happening because of the Climategate scandal. Does Climategate have some of these politicians rethinking their position on global warming, at least privately? Or are they just upset at the EPA for taking away some of their power? Either way, I hope that this legislation moves forward, so we can hold elected officials responsible if they ever do pass Barack Obama’s cap and trade bill. If the EPA does it, we will never be able to hold them accountable.
