Wall Street Journal on Climategate: Has climate change data been rigged since the beginning
The fallout over the leaked emails that are now being called Climategate continues. While the mainstream media, the far leftists, the alarmists, and most politicians on both sides of the aisle seem to be ignoring this story hoping that it will just go away so that they can continue their agenda as if nothing was wrong there is building momentum on the side of the global warming realists questioning the tactics of the climate change scientists.
This article from the Wall Street Journal goes so far as to suggest that the global warming data has been rigged from the beginning, or at least the emails give that impression. It certainly seems as if this is the case to me.
Almost from the beginning these scientists have ignored those with differing opinions, shunning them and not using their research in order to reach a predetermined conclusion instead of proving the global warming hypothesis. This is not scientific method it is manipulating chosen evidence to reach a conclusion that is hoped for, not what is true. These scientists reached their conclusion first and then looked to prove it.
These scientists have done a disservice to their field, they have disgraced themselves, they need to be investigated and brought up on charges; they have already bilked the people out of millions and if they have their way an agenda that will cost trillions of dollars will be forced upon the people. All of this while a skeptical viewpoint and evidence to support that viewpoint existed in the scientific world and was irnored. This is criminal in my book. These people are worse than Bernie Madoff!
Naturally the scientists who are involved in what is probably the biggest hoax in history are claiming that these emails have been taken out of context and perhaps some of them were, but read the following quote and tell me another way that it could have been interpretted:
I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow – even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!”
This is not only ignoring contrary evidence, it is manipulating the evidence to reach a predetermined conclusion. These scientists are actually talking about redefining a process that is supposedly the one true check and balance within the scientific community.
Those who have been affected by the whistleblowing email leaker are also trying to discredit the content of the emails because of the method the emails were made public. But such whistleblowing has been hailed in the past as a necessary, vital, and acceptable means to expose corruption.
Here is Wikipedia’s definition of whistleblower:
A whistleblower is a person who raises a concern about wrongdoing occurring in an organization or body of people, usually this person would be from that same organization. This misconduct may be classified in many ways; for example, a violation of a law, rule, regulation and/or a direct threat to public interest, such as fraud, health/safety violations, and corruption. Whistleblowers may make their allegations internally (for example, to other people within the accused organization) or externally (to regulators, law enforcement agencies, to the media or to groups concerned with the issues).
Certainly the email leaker falls within this definition making he or she a whistleblower and not a criminal. But we also have to look no farther than the stimulus bill. That’s right, the stimulus bill. Because an amendment was added to the stimulus bill that strengthened protections of whistleblowers.
This is the statement that Nancy Pelosi issued in support of the whistleblower amendment:
We have worked for years to protect taxpayer dollars and improve services the federal government provides by protecting those most familiar with how the dollars are spent and the results achieved. Today, the worst economic downturn in decades requires recovery legislation of such a scope that these protections have become more critical than ever.“It is inconceivable that the people’s business had been conducted for so long without ‘whistleblower’ protections to encourage every public employee to do the right thing. In many cases, these whistleblowers save extraordinary sums of money, protect the integrity of research done in federal labs, and restore public confidence in the work of our nation.
“At last we have a President who believes we must both shine a bright light on our government and let the voices of those who speak the truth be heard loud and clear
Senator James Inhofe has called for an investigation into climategate and so far he is alone but after reading that statement released by Nancy Pelosi I would say that she and everyone else in congress have a moral obligation to open an investigation into this matter.
I understand that most politicians do not know this amendment was added to the stimulus bill because they did not read it, but Nancy Pelosi does and she went so far as to say “In many cases, these whistleblowers save extraordinary sums of money, protect the integrity of research done in federal labs, and restore public confidence in the work of our nation.” Certainly climategate falls into that category. There are trillions of dollars at stake with this issue, but the problem is that Nancy Pelosi and the others who should open the investigation into climategate support the predetermined conclusion that was reached with purposely incomplete data. If she does not support investigating climategate the words that she released concerning whistleblower protections are meaningless and hollow.
These emails have uncovered the biggest potential scandal in history, as the Wall Street Journal proclaimed: the data might have been rigged from the beginning. But our politicians are ignoring the story, our president is set to travel to Copenhagen to push the United States closer to a global warming treaty that will sell United States sovereignty down the river.
Time is running short, politicians are as guilty in climategate as are the so-called scientists who have contrived this whole crisis, they are co-conspirators. They are accessories before and after the fact. They need to be held accountable but I think we all know the only person that will be held accountable is the whistleblower if he or she is ever caught.
Couple crashes the White House State Dinner?
It is being reported that two uninvited guests infiltrated Barack Obama’s state dinner earlier this week. This couple– Tareq and Michaele Salahi– have aspirations to create a reality television program and supposedly got through White House security and were able to have their pictures taken with both Rahm Emanuel and Vice President Biden.
Forgive me if I sound too cynical but I find it hard to believe that these two people were able to infiltrate White House security unbeknownst to the president. I just can’t believe that this couple was able to make their way into Obama’s inner circle without being invited.
One thing that we know about Barack Obama is that he is extremely image conscience. Nothing that this president does is done without the thought of how it will hurt or help his image. This president may do more public relations interviews than any other president in history. This is evident in part by the recent announcement that the Obama’s and Oprah Winfrey will conduct a special entitled “Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special,” in which Obama will be interviewed in prime time by the queen of television talk. Obama has gone above and beyond what probably any other president has done in order to create and maintain his image. He appears on television programs to promote his agenda and to spin his agenda in a truly unique and unequalled manner.
That is why I have such a hard time believing that this couple was able to sneak through security. It seems entirely likely that this is just another publicity stunt that the president was aware of all along. I believe that the president knew that this couple was going to be present and that he is using this dinner crashing as yet another attempt at keeping himself in the spotlight. I have to admit that I don’t know what benefit that this story could have for the president but there has to be a reason that this couple was allowed to slip by security.
Because I cannot come up with a scenario in which allowing these crashers to be admitted to the state dinner without the knowledge of the president would actually benefit the president, I will put aside my cynicism and I will assume that this couple did indeed crash the dinner and that Barack Obama did not know that this couple was going to crash the party.
Is that a better or more comforting scenario? I don’t think so. What if a couple with less benevolent intentions were to have slipped through security? We could be faced with the prospect of a President Biden or– heaven forbid as I cringe at the mere thought of the words I am about to type– a President Pelosi.
If the story that is being reported is true and this was just a couple intent on creating a reality television show that managed to crash a state dinner at the White House, the fact that this couple evidentially were so easily able to attain their objective should be frightening to all Americans, not to mention the president himself.
Where was his security? Here is the theory about how this was allowed to happen:
A savvy pair of crashers, dressed to the nines, might arrive on foot at the visitors’ entrance, announce their names — then express shock and concern when the security detail at the gate failed to find them on the guest list. On a rainy night like Tuesday, with a crowd of 300-plus arriving, security might have lost track of or granted a modicum of sympathy to a pair who certainly looked as though they belonged there. If their IDs didn’t send up any red flags in the screening process, they would be sent through the magnetometers and into the White House.
Security may have lost track of them and because they looked like they belonged there they were allowed to proceed? This scenario is unacceptable. How can security lose track of a couple that did not belong at the state dinner? This does not make any sence to me.
That is why I believe that Obama knew this couple was going to be there, I can’t wrap my head around the fact that ANYBODY would be lost track of that did not belong at the state dinner. There has to be more to this story than is being reported.
In a way I would feel better knowing that Obama was using this for some type of publicity and that this whole story was set up than I do about the idea being reported that this couple managed to sneak through the cracks and was able to get so close to this country’s elected officials.

I hope that everyone enjoys the day with family and friends and while you are giving thanks please remember to say thank you to the men and women who provide the blanket of freedom which makes this day possible.
Many of them will not be able to spend Thanksgiving with their families so we owe it to them to keep them in our hearts and thoughts today and every day.
Navy SEALs face court martial for capturing a most wanted terrorist
I can’t think of another story that I have written about that I find more disturbing than this story. Three Navy SEALs have been charged with assault and are facing a court martial because one of them may have punched Ahmed Hashim Abed– the mastermind of the 2004 Blackwater security guard murders and United States most wanted terrorist– in the face, giving him a bloody lip.
These Navy SEALs were on a secret mission to apprehend this vile subhuman being and in doing so one of them may have hit this terrorist. Ahmed Hashim Abed filed a complaint with Iraqi officials and now these Navy SEALs face a court martial instead of the accolades they deserve.
The brave men went into the heart of the beast, risking their lives, to perform their mission and instead of being hailed as heroes they are going to be prosecuted as criminals.
I can’t even begin to describe the level of my disgust. Ahmed Hashim Abed planned the murder and mutilation of four United States citizens and our men are being prosecuted because they may have punched him during his capture? Is this what we have come to in this country? Is this how we can expect our heroes to be treated? If the answer to those questions is yes than I have to ask the question, how are we ever supposed to bring these men that we are fighting against to justice?
During a mission like this it is perfectly reasonable to expect that the terrorist might just become a little violent in resisting arrest. Are we now to put the thought in the minds of the Navy SEALs and other special operatives that they are not allowed to fight back in a situation that may require hand to hand combat? Our operatives will be second guessing themselves and acting more cautious at precisely the time when swift action and possibly even violence is needed to apprehend a suspect as well as save their own lives.
It seems to me that if these men are prosecuted and found guilty that we will be tying the hands of all of our men and women in the field, and not just the special operations people.
We have taken the politically correct mindset to deadly proportions as witnessed in the Fort Hood terrorist attack and now we see that we are making it nearly impossible to catch terrorists and bring them to justice.
The one lesson that can be learned from this is, dead men tell no tales. Our men and women in the field would be better off killing whatever terrorists they encounter instead of bringing them in alive. These three Navy SEALs would have less to worry about if they had put a bullet in Ahmed Hashim Abed’s head.
This man is on the most wanted terrorist list and yet the heroes that apprehended him will go on trial in January while he sits in a jail cell. This is disgusting.
If we have come to this point in the war on terror, and in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq than it is time to give up and go home. We are wasting our time over there if we are not willing to let our troops do whatever it takes to secure victory. All we are doing is putting our troops in harm’s way for a cause that our government obviously no longer believes in.
Barack Obama recently said that he will “finish the job” in Afghanistan, it seems that his politically correct policies will make that awfully hard to do. It is obvious that the United States is not taking this battle seriously any more. When the word of a terrorist is taken over the word of our Navy SEALs by our own government than the war is already lost.
Latest poll on healthcare reform shows support dwindling
The latest Rasmussen healthcare reform tracking poll is out and it shows a continued drop in support for this legislation.
Overall only 38% of those polled favor this version of the bill while 56% oppose it, but it gets worse (or better from my perspective):
Only 16% now believe passage of the plan will lead to lower health care costs. Nearly four times as many (60%) believe the plan will increase health care costs. Most (54%) also believe passage of the plan will hurt the quality of care.
On the issue of healthcare costs and quality of care people do not think that this bill will help, in fact they think this bill will do more damage than good.
Among the age group most likely to vote:
Among the nation’s senior citizens, 34% favor the health care plan and 60% are opposed.
All age groups oppose the healthcare reform bill except those under thirty. It is not surprising that people under thirty favor this bill, after all they don’t want to work for anything and think that everything should be handed to them. It is only natural that once mommy and daddy either can’t, won’t, or don’t give them what they want that they would naturally look towards the ever expanding mammary of the federal government.
The news isn’t all bad for this bill however, 73% of Democrats favor the bill. But what should be most concerning to the president is the fact that 70% of independent voters oppose this bill.
Climategate: The great global warming hoax
I am going to be perfectly honest with you, I am not lying when I say that I am deriving great pleasure, schadenfreude, with the news of the leaked emails that now prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that those scientists who have been touting the impending doom that man-made global warming will cause have been exposed as liars and frauds.
I am not going to go into the contents of these emails, they are all over the internet if you haven’t read them yet you can find them. But suffice it to say that they are damning indeed. Many of the global warming realists, myself included, have been claiming that scientists who are skeptical of the notion that man is causing the earth to warm are not able to get their side of the story published and now we have proof that the IPCC was manipulating the data and ignoring scientific evidence that was contrary to their agenda.
This is more than just a few emails; there are over 1,000 emails in all, as well as 72 documents that show a concerted effort by the global warming alarmists to manipulate the data in a grand conspiracy.
Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more.
The reaction across the internet has been swift and pointed even while the mainstream media and global warming alarmist politicians ignore this scandalous information
The Washington Times is reporting that while the theft of these emails is not condoned the information in these emails should have been accessable under Britain’s Freedom of Information Act but the IPCC refused to release the documents. We now can see the reason why they were tardy in releasing the documents. Under the Bush administration we learned from left wing politicians and the media that whistleblowing was justified and admirable; there was even legislation proposed to protect whistleblowers so today I say thank you for whistleblowers.
When something as heinous and insidious as this is being committed right under our nose; when the data is being manipulated to fit an agenda; and when that agenda is being taught to young schoolchildren as fact, something has to be done to put a stop to this criminal activity.
We have a whole generation of people who have grown up being taught that people are causing the earth to warm; they believe this is the truth because they have been indoctrinated to believe it is the truth. They don’t know any better, but now we have been given the proof that we need to teach them the truth. It is a hard truth, we have to tell them that the people who have been teaching them about global warming have been lying to them, or probably more accurately that the people who have been providing the data to the people who have been teaching them have been lying.
But still the global warming alarmist politicians will push their agenda even in the face of this revelation. Today Barack Obama claimed that progress has been made toward a global climate change agreement. He apparently doesn’t care that the data has been manipulated and neither do the others. They will continue to push cap and trade legislation that will increase taxes and cause even more job losses.
Senator Inhofe has called for a congressional investigation into climategate and if these politicians have any morals whatsoever they will at least investigate this conspiracy, whether or not they agree with how the information was received, before they pass any cap and trade legislation that will destroy what is left of the United States economy after the healthcare reform bill is passed.
Climategate has exposed the great global warming hoax, it is now up to the politicians to do what is right, but it is also up to us to do what is right. The media will gloss over this story because they are in bed with the Obama administration and his cap and trade agenda. If we do not stay on top of this story it will go away. That is what the Obama administration, the media, and the alarmists are hoping for. We owe it to our children to expose this scandal for what it is.
We have been lied to by the IPCC and we must not let this story die.
Many of us have known all along that the theory of man-made global warming was a crock of shit and that the whole issue was full of deceit aimed at controlling the actions of the citizenry of the United States. I have written countless articles featuring scientists who are global warming realists (skeptics) who question the data being used to propagate this hoax.
But it wasn’t until last week, when leaked emails surfaced from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, that the fears and doubts we global warming realists knew all along were officially confirmed.
These emails confirm that the organization was hiding information from those that dispute man-made global warming because the evidence did not coincide with their agenda.
This is horrible,” said Pat Michaels, a climate scientist at the Cato Institute in Washington who is mentioned negatively in the emails. “This is what everyone feared. Over the years, it has become increasingly difficult for anyone who does not view global warming as an end-of-the-world issue to publish papers. This isn’t questionable practice, this is unethical.
These so-called scientist have been skewing the data for political reasons and now the public has been made aware of their deceit. And this is nothing new, some of these emails are over ten years old. This has been a concerted effort from the very beginning and the issue may be coming to a head as Senator Inhofe is now calling for a congressional investigation into “climategate.”
Today, I will discuss something else – scientific integrity and how to improve it. Specifically, I will discuss the systematic and documented abuse of the scientific process by an international body that claims it provides the most complete and objective scientific assessment in the world on the subject of climate change – the United Nations-sponsored Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC. I will conclude with a series of recommendations as to the minimum changes the IPCC must make if it is to restore its credibility
Those words by Senator Inhofe are not recent, they are from 2005. He warned us about IPCC’s integrity back then but there was not much support for him then. But in light of the recent email scandal he reiterated those words:

He then brings the hammer down:
Well, on this thing, it is pretty serious. And since, you know, Barabara Boxer is the Chairman and I’m the Ranking Member on Environment and Public Works, if nothing happens in the next seven days when we go back into session a week from today that would change this situation, I will call for an investigation. ‘Cause this thing is serious, you think about the literally millions of dollars that have been thrown away on some of this stuff that they came out with.
When pressed on who he will investigate he answered:
On the IPCC and on the United Nations on the way that they cooked the science to make this thing look as if the science was settled, when all the time of course we knew it was not
I don’t know how much support he will gather for these investigations, I would guess not much if any but the truth is now out there. The IPCC has been exposed as the fraudulent organization that it is. We now have the proof that the global warming crowd has only been using the information that proves what they claim while ignoring information that disproves their beliefs– just as I and many others have been saying all along.
Accusations like this cannot go uninvestigated, if congress has any morals they will follow Senator Inhofe’s lead and will investigate this corrupt United Nations organization.
And for those of you who would claim that these emails were stolen and shouldn’t be made public, I would remind you that we learned from politicians and the media during the Bush administration that whistleblowers are important and proper.
Joe Lieberman still claims he will vote against healthcare reform if there is a public option included
Joe Lieberman is still adamant that he will not vote in favor of the healthcare reform bill if there is any form of a public option included in the bill. According to Lieberman he will not vote for the bill if it contains a state “opt out” option and he will not vote in favor of the bill if it contains a “trigger” option that would invoke the public option.
Can he support a public option if states could opt out of the plan, as the current bill provides? “The answer is no,” he says in an interview from his Senate office. “I feel very strongly about this.” How about a trigger, a mechanism for including a public option along with a provision saying it won’t be used unless private insurance plans aren’t spreading coverage far and fast enough? No again.
So any version of a public option will compel Mr. Lieberman to vote against bringing a bill to a final vote? “Correct,” he says.
Under normal circumstances I would be heartened by Joe Lieberman’s words, but this is the same man that adamantly declared he would not even vote for cloture if the healthcare reform bill contained a public option, but the bill does and he did. We have heard this story before.
I would like to take Joe Lieberman at his word but his recent actions are at odds with his recent words and I can no longer trust that this man is telling us the truth. I hope that he is telling the truth and I hope that he remains strong and firm in his stated beliefs but I held out hope that he meant what he said before the cloture vote and he backtracked and broke his promise.
If Joe Lieberman holds true this time the healthcare reform bill will be in serious trouble but I just can’t help but think that he is just holding out for the same type of deal that Mary Landrieu secured for her state.
Joe Lieberman can no longer be trusted and can no longer be thought of as a man of his word. We have heard this story before Joe, and we are not buying it this time.
Healthcare reform bill could be in trouble as fissures open in the Democrat Party? I declare bullshit!
Reports now indicate that despite Saturday’s vote to move the healthcare reform legislation to the senate floor for debate that fissures have opened up within the Democrat party that could doom this legislation.
I for one am sick and tired of hearing about these fissures and how the legislation could be in trouble. The end result of this legislation is not in doubt– it will pass. I don’t give a damn about any reports to the contrary.
These Democrats, and two Independents, who supposedly have issues with the bill have all voted to send the bill to the floor for debate and thusly have ensured its passage. Virtually every bill that makes it to the floor for debate passes and if you think otherwise you are just fooling yourself.
Democrats who had professed concerns about this legislation had the chance to stop the bill but instead they voted for it. I do not want to hear that this bill could be in trouble anymore because it isn’t. I refuse to allow myself even a slight glimmer of hope that the healthcare reform bill still faces hurdles that may kill it.
The stories about this bill’s imminent demise are just that– stories. Democrats who claim to oppose this legislation are only doing so as a negotiating ploy in order to secure more government handouts.
Mary Landrieu is a perfect example of this. After receiving a bribe estimated between $100-$300 million for her cloture vote she claims she is still undecided on the final vote. There is still room for negotiating her final vote. In other words, it will cost the taxpayers even more money if Harry Reid wants her final vote and we all know that he will pay whatever it takes. We can assume that all the others who claim opposition to this bill will be in line right behind Mary Landrieu looking for their payout.
There are no fissures growing in the Democrat party; there are just people getting in line with their hands out.
Joe Lieberman; Words versus actions
Joe Lieberman’s words:
“I can’t see a way in which I could vote for cloture on any bill that contained a creation of a government-operated-run insurance company”
Joe Lieberman’s actions:
He voted for cloture.
What else needs to be said? Joe Lieberman was counted on as a man of principle, a man who put principle above party, an independent man but in the end he was nothing more than a hack for the Democrat party and a shill for government run healthcare.
We are supposed to believe that this vote for cloture was nothing but a formality, a procedural vote but it was much more than that and the final outcome of this legislation is not in doubt. 97% of all bills that make it to the floor for debate become law so yesterday Joe Lieberman voted for healthcare reform and for the public option.
Joe Lieberman promised that no bill that included a public option would make it to the floor and he had it in his power to make good on that promise. He could have stopped this bill before it was too late but he chose to fall in line with Democrat party leaders.
I am sure that he will now claim that he will fight the public option on the senate floor but it is much too late for that now; if he really opposed the public option and was not just providing lip service the time to do so would have been before the cloture vote, while he had the leverage. All of the leverage is gone, the bill will pass, and we have Joe Lieberman to thank for it.
