Supreme Court rules against warrantless gun seizure

May 17, 2021

One of the way the Democrats are planning on coming after guns is through mental health so that makes this recent Supreme Court decision very important. The Supreme Court has ruled that warrantless gun seizure is unconstitutional, here is more:

The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 on Monday that Rhode Island police officers acted illegally when they seized a man’s guns without a warrant.

Edward Caniglia sued the city of Cranston, Rhode Island, after police officers located and took his guns while he was in the hospital for a mental health wellness check. He argued that the seizure violated his Fourth Amendment rights, although two federal courts ruled against him.

“The very core of the Fourth Amendment’s guarantee is the right of a person to retreat into his or her home and there be free from unreasonable governmental intrusion,” Justice Clarence Thomas wrote for the Court.

The police had argued that they were allowed to seize Caniglia’s guns during the wellness check because of the “community care-taking exception” to the Fourth Amendment. That exception allows police officers to conduct searches for what “may be described as community care-taking functions,” when “there is no claim of criminal liability.”

To me this is a no-brainer and I am very happy to see this was actually a unanimous decision, but it should not have even been an issue in the first place. The police had no business barging into this man’s house and I think the next issue that needs to head to the Supreme Court is the constitutionality of this “community care-taking exception” to the fourth amendment.

CNN contributor: ‘the world today needs a Hitler’

May 17, 2021

Most of the left has been anti-Semitic for decades but over the last few years they have been much more open and upfront about it, having been emboldened by reasons we can only guess about. So as you can imagine many of them are not all that upset about what is happening in the Middle East over the last week or so. Because of this it should come as no surprise that a CNN contributor used the violence in the Middle East to push his radical political agenda by Tweeting out, in response to the Middle East crisis, that “the world today needs a Hitler.”

Adeel Raja quickly deleted his Tweet but not before a screen shot was captured, which you can see here if you would like to read more about this disgusting Tweet, apparently this is not the first time Adeel Raja has extolled the virtues of Hitler.

On a side note, the irony of the left calling for a Hitler to rise up in the world today after calling Donald Trump Hitler for four years is not lost on me…

After four years of relative calm and peace in the Middle East all hell is breaking loose and I think we all know what the reasons for this are, and I also think the left is not all that upset about it. This might have been a CNN contributor who slipped up but it sounds eerily similar to how Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley actually feel as well.

Homeland Security warning: easing COVID restrictions could lead to rise in domestic terrorism

May 15, 2021

As States and businesses begin to ease up on muzzle mandates all across the nation in line with the CDC’s recommendations the Department of Homeland Security has a warning: this could lead to more domestic terrorism. Here is more:

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned Friday that “violent extremists may seek to exploit the easing of COVID-19-related restrictions.”

The department said in its newest National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin:

Violent extremists may seek to exploit the easing of COVID-19-related restrictions across the United States to conduct attacks against a broader range of targets after previous public capacity limits reduced opportunities for lethal attacks.

Russian, Chinese and Iranian government-linked media outlets have repeatedly amplified conspiracy theories concerning the origins of COVID-19 and effectiveness of vaccines; in some cases, amplifying calls for violence targeting persons of Asian descent. Many of these violent extremists are motivated and inspired by a mix of socio-political goals and personal grievances against their targets.

And just to be safe Homeland Security is beefing up its “domestic terrorism” division:

ABC News reported the “DHS has also established a new domestic terrorism branch within its Office of Intelligence and Analysis and has directed state and local governments to use 7.5% of annual grant money issued by the agency to deal with the threat.

This begs us to ask the question, who exactly does the Biden administration consider a domestic terrorist? As we have seen over the last several years as they try to criminalize political opposition, that would be anybody who disagrees with the administration’s policies…

Flip-flop: Joe Biden to restart construction of border wall

May 13, 2021

First Joe Biden flipped, and then he flopped, and then he flipped again when it came to the number of people he was going to allow to claim refugee status and now he is having trouble deciding what to do with the border wall. First Joe Biden cancelled funding for construction of the border wall but now, according to this story, he has caved to pressure and will allow construction to restart. Here is more:

BREAKING: .@FoxNews has confirmed via the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that construction on a 13.4 mile stretch of border wall in the Rio Grande Valley will *RESUME* after pressure from local residents & politicians.

The Biden admin previously halted all wall construction in Jan.

— Bill Melugin (@BillFOXLA) May 12, 2021

I think it is pretty clear what is going on here: Joe Biden is a xenophobe, a white supremist, and a racist who does not want anybody who does not look like him coming into “his” country…

Idaho Governor signs law preventing State from enforcing Biden’s gun control proposals

May 11, 2021

Back at the end of April, in anticipation of Joe Biden’s expected gun control Executive Actions, Montana’s Governor signed a bill into law which would protect his residents from said actions. At that time we learned there were 12 other States that were preparing legislation along the same lines and now, according to this story, another State has followed suit. Idaho Governor Brad Little has signed a law to prohibit Joe Biden’s gun control Executive Orders from being enforced. Here is more:

Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) signed legislation Monday to prohibit enforcement of the executive actions for gun control put forth by President Joe Biden.

One outworking of those executive actions has been the Department of Justice’s attempt to reclassify certain gun parts kits as “firearms.”

The executive actions are also expected to lead to DOJ action against AR-pistols with stabilizer braces.

The new law is retroactive to January 20, 2021. It is designed to prevent “Idaho government entities from enforcing executive orders, federal laws, treaties, agency orders and rules of the U.S. government involving firearms, firearm components, firearm accessories or ammunition that conflict with the Idaho Constitution.”

It is good to see the States starting to fight back against these unconstitutional measures, but it is time for all these other States to step up as well!

Vacation

May 7, 2021

I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know that we are on vacation and will not be back until late Monday so I probably will not be around much, if at all, over the next few days. I meant to post something yesterday but it got a little crazy in the morning before we left.

The FBI is breaking into corporate computers

May 5, 2021

Using the excuse that the government needs to protect corporations from malware attacks, the FBI has been breaking into private corporate computers. Here is more:

The FBI has the authority right now to access privately owned computers without their owners’ knowledge or consent, and to delete software. It’s part of a government effort to contain the continuing attacks on corporate networks running Microsoft Exchange software, and it’s an unprecedented intrusion that’s raising legal questions about just how far the government can go.

And unfortunately it was a court decision in Texas which has granted the FBI this permission:

On April 9, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas approved a search warrant allowing the U.S. Department of Justice to carry out the operation.

Here is a some more detail about this covert operation:

The FBI is accessing hundreds of these mail servers in corporate networks. The search warrant allows the FBI to access the web shells, enter the previously discovered password for a web shell, make a copy for evidence, and then delete the web shell. The FBI, though, was not authorized to remove any other malware that hackers might have installed during the breach or otherwise access the contents of the servers.

What makes this case unique is both the scope of the FBI’s actions to remove the web shells and the unprecedented intrusion into privately owned computers without the owners’ consent. The FBI undertook the operation without consent because of the large number of unprotected systems throughout U.S. networks and the urgency of the threat.

The FBI can sneak into a corporation’s computer without the owner’s permission, poke around in there, delete certain files, and leave without leaving a trace. It does not take a genius to figure out what is wrong with this, nor does it take much imagination to understand this is ripe for abuse by the politicalized FBI.

Flip-flop…flip: Joe Biden will raise refugee cap to 62,500 after all

May 4, 2021

During the campaign Joe Biden claimed that Donald Trump’s 15,000 person limit on refugees was a bigoted, racist, xenophobic policy and he vowed that under his administration it would be come one, come all. Even after he became President, Joe Biden promised to raise the refugee cap to a total higher than it was when Barack Obama was President, however he quickly flip-flopped on that promise and decided he would keep the cap at Donald Trump’s 15,000 after all.

You can imagine the ire and the consternation this decision drew from the left, they were not very pleased to say the least. Well, apparently they put enough pressure on good ole Uncle Joe because now he has flipped back to his original position and will increase the refugee cap to 62,500 after all. Here is more:

President Biden on Monday reversed himself and said he would allow as many as 62,500 refugees to enter the United States during the next six months, eliminating the sharp limits that President Donald J. Trump imposed on those seeking refuge from war, violence or natural disasters.

The action comes about two weeks after Mr. Biden announced that he was leaving Mr. Trump’s limit of 15,000 refugees in place, which drew widespread condemnation from Democrats and refugee advocates who accused the president of reneging on a campaign promise to welcome those in need.

Mr. Biden quickly backtracked, promising only hours later that he intended to increase refugee admissions. With Monday’s announcement, the president formally bowed to the pressure.

Even the New York Times is having difficulty trying to keep up and defend Joe Biden’s wind-blown positions on immigration.

The truth is Joe Biden does not really have multiple positions on this issue, or any other issue for that matter, the truth is Joe Biden has NO position on any issue. His handlers fight over which position they will go forth with and Joe Biden delivers the message, he is just a puppet dancing at the end of the strings and on the refugee cap they had him dancing a jig.
