Who is Hillary Clinton Losing to?

February 20, 2008

 Cross posted at Grizzly Groundswell

hillaryrealbad.jpgAs Hillary Clinton lays awake at night, tossing and turning in her bed alone, she has to be asking herself “who am I losing to?” As she watches her birthright being taken away from her she must wonder “how is this happening to me?”

Hillary Clinton has been working for the little people and for the children and for the unfortunate for 35 years, she will be the first to tell you, and it doesn’t matter that she has accomplished nothing. What matters is that she believes she is entitled to be president. Everything that she and her husband, the first black president, have done has been done through the cool calculating eyes of a political prism. She was the anointed front-runner, the inevitable Democrat nominee and suddenly that has been taken away from her. Not only is she no longer inevitable, not only is she no longer the front-runner, but now her very birthright may be taken away from her. I find it ironic that the candidate who promised to take things away from us for the common good may now have something taken away from her and I would argue that that would be for the common good.

So as the Clinton political machine starts to wheeze and cough there has to be this question lingering in the backs of their minds. How can a machine that has been built up over thirty five years, a machine that has always been well oiled and always run so smooth possibly be brought down by someone with no experience? This has to be the question that keeps Hillary up at night.

Let’s be honest, nobody does know who Barack Obama is. Maybe that is why they like him. He promises hope and change but he never tell us what the change will be, he is nothing but campaign rhetoric. Nobody knows what Obama will do as president but they don’t care because he makes them feel good.

Hillary Clinton has spent her entire adult life in politics readying herself for this day and now she is being beaten by an empty suit, she has to be beside herself. She must be asking herself how this could happen.

Hillary Clinton is unlikable, she comes off as exactly what she is, a cool calculating politician with a lust for the presidency. Barack Obama comes off as an outsider whose life quest isn’t necessarily to become president. This could be what is behind Hillary’s seemingly inevitable demise.

Not only is Hillary wondering who this man is that is going to bring her down, but the American people should be wondering the same thing. Nobody knows what this man stands for because he says nothing except that he will bring change and hope.

The truth also is that Barack Obama is not qualified to be president, Hillary might not be either, but at least she has spent thirty five years in politics while accomplishing nothing other than covering up her husband’s indiscretions with women. Hillary must lose sleep at night wondering how the American people could vote for a man without qualifications over a woman who has been in the political system so long.

Hillary Clinton may be kept up at night wondering who this man is that more likely than not will be our next president, but she will not be alone. I will also be kept up at night wondering who this man is, and so should the rest of America.

Nobody knows what exactly this man stands for and that should be enough to keep us all awake at night.

Michael Moore Wants to Invite Fidel Castro to the Oscars

February 20, 2008

michael-moore.jpg Today Michael Moore, propagandist extraordinaire, said that the Oscars should invite his good buddy, Fidel Castro, to attend.

“I got some great news today because I was trying to figure out how I was going to get Castro into the Oscars and for me he resigns today so he can come to L.A. and go as my guest and perhaps give the acceptance speech,” Moore told AP Television on Tuesday night.

In a way I wish he could actually get Fidel Castro into the country to attend the Oscars. Then it would prove the type of politician the elitists in Hollywood support.

People tend to just brush you off when you just call someone a communist, but really doesn’t this just show you that Michael Moore’s political opinion is more aligned with communism than a republic.

That is all the time and space I am going to dedicate to this person. At 160 words. this post is too long already.

George W Bush: The Great Humanitarian

February 19, 2008

george-w-bush-picture.jpg To be honest with you, this is an issue I care literally nothing about. I believe we spend way too much money trying to stop AIDS in Africa. I believe we spend way too much money trying to feed the poor in other nations. And I don’t give a damn about the genocide in Darfur. It that makes me a cold-hearted bastard, than so be it, I don’t care. To quote David Burns of the Talking Heads in the song “No Compassion”, ” they say compassion is a virtue, but I don’t have the time.” But when a liberal comes out and praises President Bush for something I just have to write about it.

Bob Geldof, who started Live Aid, and has dedicated his life to helping the poor in Africa had this to say about President Bush:

Mr. Geldof praised Mr. Bush for his work in delivering billions to fight disease and poverty in Africa, and blasted the U.S. press for ignoring the achievement.
Mr. Bush, said Mr. Geldof, “has done more than any other president so far.”
“This is the triumph of American policy really,” he said. “It was probably unexpected of the man. It was expected of the nation, but not of the man, but both rose to the occasion.”
“What’s in it for [Mr. Bush]? Absolutely nothing,” Mr. Geldof said.
Mr. Geldof said that the president has failed “to articulate this to Americans” but said he is also “pissed off” at the press for their failure to report on this good news story.
“You guys didn’t pay attention,” Geldof said to a group of reporters from all the major newspapers

President Bush has done more in humanitarian efforts, IE spend more money on humanitarian efforts than any other president in United States history, and while I do not agree with this policy it is a policy that should touch home with liberals. But as Geldof motioned, the press ignored it. We all know why they did, they don’t want to give a conservative president any credit for humanitarian efforts that is normally reserved for liberal presidents.

The fact is that President Bush has done more in humanitarian efforts than President Clinton ever did, but as Geldorf said, he didn’t articulate his accomplishments well. And that is a lasting legacy with this president, he didn’t get out in front of the cameras every day as did Clinton and tell us of his accomplishments. If President Clinton had done as much for Africa as President Bush has, believe me, we would have known about it. If President Clinton didn’t remind us how big-hearted he was, the press would have.

Hillary Clinton to Target Obama’s Pledged Delegates

I have a problem with Hillary Clinton.

hillary_queen_usa.jpgActually, I have many, many problems with Hillary Clinton but today I have added another. Anybody who has been a reader here knows that I have been relishing the fact that Hillary Clinton and her campaign seem to be faltering. Readers here also know that I think Barack Obama would probably be a worse president than Hillary because he is even more to the left than Hillary. So while I have been enthusiastically routing for Hillary’s demise I have always felt a twinge in the back of my head that someone even more liberal than Hillary is more than likely going to be the next president. Today that twinge is gone. It is time to stop Hillary and it doesn’t matter if Obama is too inexperienced or too liberal. She must be stopped at all costs.

The reason I say this is because of the lengths this power hungry woman is willing to go to supersede the voters of her party and generally just shit on them. It has been widely reported that Hillary Clinton is trying to change the rules that the DNC imposed on Florida and Michigan to have their delegates seated at the convention. Rules that she agreed to until she won those states. Then came the talk that she was trying to persuade the party’s super delegates to vote for her and not for whom the super delegates constituents voted for. But now comes word that she is trying to get Barack Obama’s pledged delegates to switch their vote to her. Or at least she will try to according to one of her campaign officials if she can’t win fair and square. We are talking about the delegates that Obama won when he won the different state primaries and caucuses. We are talking about delegates that Barack Obama earned.

Technically this is not against the Democrat party rules.

“Delegates are NOT bound to vote for the candidate they are pledged to at the convention or on the first ballot,” a recent DNC memo states. “A delegate goes to the convention with a signed pledge of support for a particular presidential candidate. At the convention, while it is assumed that the delegate will cast their vote for the candidate they are publicly pledged to, it is not required.”

But let’s face it, if a delegate signs a pledge to a candidate and that candidate earned that delegate than that is who the delegate should vote for. Who in their right mind thinks they have the right to overrule the wishes of the voters? Hillary does. The wishes of the voters means nothing to this woman unless the voters wish she were president. That is why I say she will stop at nothing to be president.

“I swear it is not happening now, but as we get closer to the convention, if it is a stalemate, everybody will be going after everybody’s delegates,” a senior Clinton official told me Monday afternoon. “All the rules will be going out the window.”

Just look at that example she would be setting. All the rules will be going out the window is what one of her officials said. What a great example that would be for the young people of America. She will be teaching people across the country that the end justifies the means. She will be teaching us that is doesn’t matter how you get to where you want to be as long as you get there. Even if it means going against the will of the people to gain ultimate power and become president.

If she is willing to go to this length to become president, what is she willing to do once she is president. That is the question I keep asking myself. That is the reason I know believe she could even be more dangerous as president than Barack Obama. That is why she must be stopped.

“If you are Hillary Clinton, you know you can’t get the nomination just with superdelegates without splitting the party. You have to go after the pledged delegates.”

This logic makes no sense to me. I agree that going after the super delegates has the potential to split the party. Having the party insiders nominate Hillary Clinton if Barack Obama has the delegate lead going into the convention could deeply hurt the Democrat party, but wouldn’t going after pledged delegate have the same effect? Or worse. If Hillary won the nomination by getting the super delegates to vote for her it would potentially disenfranchise the black vote who would feel that their candidate had the nomination stolen from them, but if she won the nomination by getting Obama’s pledged delegates to change their vote, it would not only disenfranchise the black voters, but would also disenfranchise the young voters, and every other voter who voted for Obama. That could be the death knell of the Democrat party.

Hillary Clinton lusts after power, it is her aphrodisiac. She needs power, it is he addiction. She will stop at nothing to gain power and because of that we can not tell what she will do once she has power. Hillary Clinton believe it is her right to be president and she won’t let the voters stop her, even if it means tearing her own part apart.

If she will do that to her party, what will she do to our country?

Are Obama and Michael Bloomberg Secretly Planning a Third Party Candidacy?

February 18, 2008

obama02071.jpg I heard about this rumor on Rush today and had to look into it. According to this article on Human Events, Barack Obama has already held a secret meeting with New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The reason for this meeting is that Barack Obama has realized that in all likelihood he could win the popular vote, and hold the delegate lead heading into the Democrat National Convention, but because he may not have enough delegates to secure the nomination the candidate will be chosen by the super delegates. Because these super delegates are Democrat party insiders, the likely result would be a Hillary Clinton nomination. Obama would lose the nomination to party insiders although he would be the delegate leader. If this scenario plays out, this is where mayor Bloomberg is rumored to step in.

The word on the street is that the Obama campaign and New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg have already met and devised an incredible plan if Clinton wins the nominee. Mayor Bloomberg would give nearly $1 billion to Obama’s campaign after which Obama would bolt from the Democratic Party and run as an Independent candidate with king-maker Bloomberg as his running mate.

It has long been rumored that mayor Bloomberg was eyeing a third party run at the presidency, so is this so far-fetched? Reports were that he was willing to spend $1 billion dollars on his own campaign for president, this seems like a scenario with a much better chance at having a third party candidate win to me. With Bloomberg funding a third party candidate, and a candidate who if the scenario that would lead to this plays out, would be a more popular candidate with the voters than either Clinton or McCain it could throw this whole election into turmoil. Coupled with the fact that Clinton receiving the nomination over Obama by party insiders would possibly disenfranchise the entire black vote with the Democrat party, who would then turn to the Independent ticket in rebellion, this could end the Democrat party as we know it.

Hey, it’s a long-shot, and we would have to endure an Obama presidency, but doesn’t the possible end of the Democrat party make you salivate? There is nothing wrong with dreaming.

New Hampshire Boy is Going to Trial for Having Sex With His Girlfriend

February 18, 2008

A New Hampshire boy is going to trial for having sex with his girlfriend. He was 17 at the time and she was 15 1/2.  That is where his problem lies. She was six months shy of the legal age of consent in New Hampshire. He is now going to be tried for sexual assault and if found guilty will be a registered sex offender for life.

I am not going to use this post to discuss whether this boy should or shouldn’t be tried, or if this is over-reaction. The boy is going to appear on “60 Minutes” to tell his side of the story. His defense is what I want to focus on. Here is what he is going to say.

“I didn’t know there was a certain age you had to be to have sex,” said 18-year-old Damon Hadley of Henniker. “I thought if I told the truth, it’d all just go away.”

He didn’t even know he committed a crime, and why would he? I find his excuse totally believable. The message being sent by our liberal New Hampshire policians would make you assume you could have sex with a girl any age.

This is where liberalism really ties itself into knots. Last year middle school aged students were taken on a field trip to an abortion clinic. New Hampshire also repealed the parental notification law which required a MINOR to have parental permission to get an abortion. A new law about to be debated in the state senate will let a girl tell any adult she is getting an abortion if she doesn’t want to tell her parents.

What is the message that these two events tell our young children? Why would a boy think there is a law against having sex with a minor when that same minor is being taken to abortion clinics on field trips? Our liberal leaders here in New Hampshire have gone out of their way to teach children indirectly that there is no risk involved in having sex. If you get pregnant the schools have shown them where to go to get an abortion, and the legislature has also made sure that the girl’s parents don’t have to know. They are sending out the signal that the light is green, go for it. Naturally a boy of 17 is going to assume there is nothing wrong with having sex with a thirteen year old if he wants. Why not? If anything happens they can get the “little problem” taken care of.

This is what happens when the whole “there is no consequences for your actions, everybody is a victim” attitude of the liberals is spread throughout society.

This boy is now being charged with a crime that the state of New Hampshire was an accessory to and a conspirator of.

New Hampshire to Revisit the Parental Notification Law

February 17, 2008

no_babies1.jpg In a previous post I wrote about New Hampshire repealed it’s parental notification law. This law would have made it the parent’s right to know when their UNDERAGE daughter was going to have an abortion. The fact that we need a law that makes it a parent’s right to know what their MINOR daughter is up to is astounding enough, but the fact that this was repealed is just plain disgusting. A child can’t even go on a school field trip without a permission slip, yet she can have an invasive medical procedure without her parent’s knowledge.  I won’t even get into the fact that if a MINOR child is pregnant than according to law she was raped.

Now two differing bill are to come before the state for review on parental notification. The first one will mandate that a child’s parents must be notified before an abortion is performed on the UNDERAGE daughter, but will include an exception if the child’s life is in danger. ( The potential mother, not the unborn child, the unborn child is doomed) On it’s face this seems like a good idea. It is definitely an improvement over there being no law. But I do have a problem with this.

Wendelboe’s bill restores a requirement that parents be notified before a minor has an abortion, and adds medical emergency language

Isn’t it of the utmost importance to a parent if their child’s life is in danger? Wouldn’t that be the time where it would be critical to notify the parents that their daughter needs “emergency surgery” to save her life. Can you imagine if something happened to a child during this procedure( again I am referring to the potential mother and not the child whose life is being purposely ended), and as a parent you didn’t even know anything was wrong until you were given the news AFTER THE FACT?

But this bill is at least an improvement, the second bill is another attempt at taking away a parent’s right to raise their own child.

The Health and Human Services Committee will hear the bill Sen. Kathy Sgambati has sponsored to require adult involvement, not necessarily parental input, on abortion decisions.

A child can go to any adult if this bill passes and notify them that they are going to have an abortion, it doesn’t have to be her parents. This is just plain unbelievable, I don’t know what to say. Instead of a child going to her parents, she has the right to tell anybody but her parents. She could go to a parent of a friend, potentially an adult that her parents don’t even know and tell them instead of her parents. Again, undercutting the parent’s rights to raise their children the way they see fit.

So, does anybody care to guess which bill Governor Lynch prefers? He prefers the one child_state_150.jpgwhich takes away any parental involvement and let’s any adult other than the child’s parents help her to make such a tough decision.

Governor Lynch is in favor of taking the parents out of the decision making of their MINOR daughter’s life and handing it over to anyone else, preferably the state.

Governor Lynch, WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!?!?!?!?!?!?

al Qaeda in Baghdad has Been Defeated

February 17, 2008

I thought I would write about a topic that used to be a daily, if not hourly subject but which has vanished from the news cycle, and political arena almost totally: Iraq.

Much that should be reported in Iraq is now being ignored and I find it disturbing although not surprising the the media would push this news off to the side. After all we need to know what the latest news with Brittney Spears is, don’t we. The media doesn’t have time to report good news from Iraq, only bad, we can’t have both I guess.

Here is some of the news I am interested in:

“Thank God, we destroyed the cells of Al-Qaeda. They have been chased out of Baghdad and this has opened the way for their defeat throughout Iraq,” Maliki said at a ceremony marking the launch on February 14 last year of the Baghdad security plan,

al Qaeda has been defeated in Baghdad, our soldiers are performing brilliantly and the job is getting done. While it has been much slower than forseen things have turned our way in Iraq and the media doesn’t find this newsworthy.

“Today our forces are locked in battle against outlaws in Nineveh and we are chasing them,” he added

Maliki on January 25 announced a “decisive battle” against Al-Qaeda in Nineveh province, and sent troop and police reinforcements to the provincial capital Mosul, which the US military says is the last urban stronghold of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

This could be al Qaeda’s last stand in Iraq and Americans aren’t being told this is happening, this is almost journalistic malpractice. Americans just see Iraq as business as usual, these stories need to get out there yet the media remains silent in order to protect the defeatists that are running for president.

The prime minister thanked “all those who helped make the security plan a success and who saved the country from the miserable situation it was in due to Al-Qaeda’s violence and terrorism.”

Did he just use the word success when talking about the war? Holy shit! That is not a word I have ever heard the media over here use. As a matter of fact I haven’t heard one Democrat running for president use that word either. Success in Iraq seems to be the best exit strategy to me, that would be the goal.

The media and the Democrats have succeeded in drumming negativity into the minds of the American people and the president didn’t help himself by not speaking out more as this was all going on. The war has dragged on much longer that anyone could have hoped for and I wish it had ended long ago but the fact is that progress is being made over there now and I don’t think the positives that are happening are being sufficiently reported.

It is too late to change people’s opinion of the war but the people should at least be made aware that things are improving over there, and that is where my problem lies. The media reported the rising body counts with glee, Democrats fought for face time every time a round number appeared for American casualties so they could remind the American people we were failing. If an American was involved in a controversy there was always a Democrat on television to call our soldiers terrorists (John Kerry), or compare Americans to Pol Pot and Nazis. But now, with the news getting better over there……….NOTHING!

New Hampshire Legislature to Vote on 60% Cigar Tax

February 17, 2008

lightingcigar.jpg Leave it to the Democrat majority in New Hampshire to come up with anther way to put small businesses out of business. The state’s budget is in disarray because of last year’s spending spree, and in order to try to come up with more money the state legislature is looking at more new taxes instead of just not spending money they don’t have. The latest tax on the agenda? A cigar tax. And not a small one either.

New Hampshire legislators will be voting on a 60% cigar tax. That is an increase of…… 60% as New Hampshire has no cigar tax currently! Talk about going after the whole kit and caboodle huh? This is anther example of spending gone crazy in New Hampshire. All this is going to do is put smoke shops out of business further slowing down the economy that Governor Lynch is blaming his spending woes on in the first place. More liberal double-speak and hypocrisy here. Can’t you New Hampshire voters realize what is going on here. WAKE UP!

Just look at this editorial for the effects of what this cigar tax will do to New Hampshire businesses. Here is an excerpt:

“In 1996, Massachusetts was going to pass a tax on cigars from zero to 15 percent. As the biggest retail store in Boston at the time, I said you are going to force me to move,” he said.

“They did it, we moved up here to Salem, N.H., and our business thrived.”

Massachusetts doubled that tax to 30 percent in 2002, and Garofalo’s business increased again.

David Garofalo, owner of Two Guys Smoke Shop was forced to move to New Hampshire when Massachusetts imposed a FIFTEEN PERCENT tax on cigars, that is only a quarter of the tax sugested here! How is this man supposed to keep his business? Do liberals in New Hampshire even care about small businesses? I don’t think so.

Making matters worse for business is this brilliant idea:

The tax would apply to all inventory, not just each cigar sold. So a dealer such as Garofalo, with an 8,500-square-foot store and thousands of cigars in stock, would suddenly have to hand tens of thousands of dollars to the state for the privilege of continuing to do business.

That is what is going to cripple the small cigar shops in the state. But that’s not all, if you look at the numbers I posted above you will notice that New Hampshire will now have a tax of over double what Massachusetts cigar tax is, so you can now kiss the Massachusetts customers good bye, as well as New Hampshire border residents who will now go to Massachusetts to buy their cigars. Who ever thought we would see the day where people from New Hampshire went to Massachusetts to save on sales tax? Unbelievable. So much for those commercials that tell Massachusetts residents to come to tax free New Hampshire. The New Hampshire advantage is flying out the window, much like a bird once it’s loose you will never be able to get it back again.

Good bye New Hampshire, it was good to know you!

California Schools May Require Global Warming to be Taught in Class

February 16, 2008

global-warming.jpg A bill that would require the “science” behind global warming to be taught in California schools is about to be debated in the state assembly. This bill would require text books to include global warming as fact.

Here is what the Democrat who sponsored the bill has to say.

“You can’t have a science curriculum that is relevant and current if it doesn’t deal with the science behind climate change,” Simitian said. “This is a phenomenon of global importance and our kids ought to understand the science behind that phenomenon.”

There is only one problem with his statement and that is the fact that science isn’t totally behind the idea that man is causing the earth to warm.  Global warming has become a political tool and the whole issue has been propagandized by liberal politicians to advance their tax and spend agenda. Thankfully not all California politicians are on board with this bill.

“We don’t have complete factual information yet,” Denham said. “From what I have seen the Earth has heated and cooled on its own for centuries.

That statement is certainly the truth, and it is a truth that the GWA (global warming alarmists) want to ignore. The fact is that we have politicians pushing a scientific issue as fact when the jury is still out. Why would politicians want to agendasize an issue of scientific debate before the issue has been decided? That is all to easy to answer, what is the driving force behind everything politicians do? Money. Money equals taxes, and that is what this whole issue is about. Creating more ways to tax us is the whole agenda behind this global warming hoax. They don’t give a damn about the environment, all they give a damn about is collecting more money that they can spend.

Before they can tax us on the idea of saving the planet they first have to convince enough of us that global warming is real. What is the best way to do that? By teaching our children that it is real before they can learn otherwise. That is why this is such an important issue. California is about to okay the indoctrination of the minds of the most innocent among us, our children, and they will know no other truth than that which is taught them. If they are taught early and often enough that global warming is real and it is humans fault, or even more close to the liberal truth, America’s fault, how are we to combat that?

Read more about the bill here.
