New Hampshire Judge Sentences Man to Jail…After he is Acquitted by the Jury
According to this story a man was acquitted by a jury of assaulting a police officer. The jury took 15 minutes to reach a verdict, that sounds like a clear cut case to me. So the man walks out of the court a free man, doesn’t he? You would think so, but not so fast.
A former Ashland man cleared of assaulting a police officer while trying to rush his pregnant fiancee to the hospital is being sent to jail by a judge.
A jury deliberated about 15 minutes last month before acquitting Nathaniel Gibbs, 25, after a four-day trial.
So what does the judge have to say for herself? Why does she send a man found not guilty by a jury of his peers to jail anyway?
“I don’t know how the jury made its decision. This is my own, based on the testimony that I heard,” she said
WOW! Is this even legal, I don’t know. How can this judge make a statement like that. Does this mean Judge Ito could have reached his own verdict in the OJ Simpson murder case? How does this judge get to overturn a jury decision?
Here is more of this judge justifying her actions:
“I know you believe you were found not guilty, but I am not influenced by the jury verdict. This is a separate hearing, and I have to balance the evidence and if the scales tip ever so slightly,” Burling said in court Monday.
And all this time the left is telling us that President Bush is infringing on our liberties, the last time I looked this judge was not George W Bush.
New Hampshire Newspaper runs an ad for a 9/11 Truther Essay Contest… on September 11th
Below is an add that ran in the New Hampshire Union Leader on September 11th:

An essay contest on September 11th, I can live with that. But then I decided to read the contest advertisement and now I am once again perturbed, to put it lightly.
I know it is probably kind of hard to read, so I will give you the gist of the ad. September was an inside job, now write about it.
Here is the opening paragraph of the ad, just in case you can’t read it:
the south tower was 208′ X 208′ and 1362′ high with 110 stories. The building was constructed of 240 outer columns and 47 heavy inner core columns. Similar fires have been estimated to burn at temperatures 600-1300 degrees F; steel melts at 2800 F. All the concrete in the building was pulverized. Debris objects (column fragments?) were thrown far from the building ( the ad references a photo here that I deleted in order to try and make the ad readable) This tower collapsed in 11 seconds (almost freefall speed)- 56 minutes after Flight 175 flew into it. But-do your homework: read books, articles, visit the internet, etc. Entrants are encouraged to consider both theories: 1) gravitational collapse and 2) controlled demotition. Produce a sound common sense essay.
Now doesn’t that sound as if they are steering the direction that they want the essays to go in? It does to me. This is also despicable, I keep using that word to describe these people, but it fits them so well. To run an article promoting essays about a September 11th conspiracy essay contest is just disrespectful to those that list their lives that day.
Needless to say I have already sent an email to the newspaper voicing my displeasure with them for accepting this money to run the ad on this day. If you are paid to run the ad fine, just tell them to wait one day.
I will also be sending at least one essay to these people, an essay they won’t particularly care for, letting them know how disgraceful I find this. I urge anyone who reads this to do the same, let us stand up and voice our opinions on their reprehensible act, below is the address to send your essays to:

Here is my 9/11 theory: There is a group of radical islamists who hate the western way of life. They are brought up being taught as little children that America is bad, and anything is allowed to bring us down. As a matter of fact, you will be rewarded in heaven if you kill Americans. So, 19 of these Islamists fly planes into the buildings, the buildings collapse. I know it sounds radical, there has to be more to it than that.
It was NOT AMERICA”S FAULT, and it was not President Bush blowing up the towers, get it through your thick heads. We are supposed to believe that the man the far left calls an idiot was able to convince people to fly planes into buildings ( maybe they were remotely controlled, I hadn’t though of that), convince people to place detonators in the buildings, and blow them up. With all the people involved in this conspiracy nobody has leaked anything at all. Seems reasonable to me. RIIIIGHHHTTT.
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick says we Need to Love Terrorists During his Sptember 11th Memorial Speech
This is what the governor of Massachusetts had to say in his September 11th remembrance speech:
Because among many other things, 9/11 was a failure of human understanding. It was mean and nasty and bitter attack on the United States. But it was also about the failure of human beings to understand each other, and to learn to love each other. And it seems to me that that lesson and that warning is something that we must carry with us everyday.
Governor Patrick, are you saying it was OUR fault because we are not accepting enough of our enemies? If that is the case, how come you didn’t spread the love when you were working for President Clinton? We know President Clinton didn’t have any trouble spreading the love around, how come he wasn’t able to learn to love Osama?
He has to be talking about us learning to love the people who want to kill us, he can’t really be saying they need to learn to love us. That would be admitting that we have an enemy, and the moonbats, and Governor Patrick is definately a moonbat, will never admit that something is not America’s fault.
It is YOU Governor Patrick who fail to understand the radicals. I understand fully. I understand that the Islamo-fascists want to convert the whole world to Islam. The Koran also dictates this as their right. I also understand that they believe violence is an acceptable method for them to achieve this goal. I also understand that in Europe Muslims are out breeding non-Muslims by somthing like 5 to 2. Add it all up and I understand that we face a threat to our way of life.
It is you Governor Patrick who is too blind to see the realities we face today. It is you, and your like minded far left radicals that help to ensure that the islamo-fascist will eventually be successful.
I know that the left likes to brand people who speak about these threats as fear mongers, but is it fear mongering to try to point out the dangers we face? Are we supposed to feel that if we just extend our love to them that they will see how kind hearted we are and they will love us back? Everything in this life is not hearts and flowers and we need leaders who are willing to stand up and tell people the harsh truths sometimes. Governor Patrick is no such leader.
The nerve this man shows by blaming September 11th on our failure to reach out to our enemies and show them love during a remebrance speech ON September 11th is utterly disgraceful.
And if this wasn’t bad enough, read on:
Jim Ogonowski, the Republican candidate vying for the vacant seat in Congress, has been a speaker at the State House 9/11 ceremony for the past four years… but not this year.
Jim Ogonowski, whose brother, John, piloted American Airlines Flight 11 when it was hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001, has been a speaker for the past four years at State House anniversary events but was left out this year.
This year, he has been replaced by former U.S. Rep. Martin T. Meehan (D-Lowell), whose wife, Ellen, is chairing Democrat Niki Tsongas’ campaign against Ogonowski. Ogonowski won the GOP nomination this week and will face Tsongas in an Oct. 16 election for Meehan’s vacant seat.
Because Ogonowski is a Republican and he is running against Niki Tsongas, a Democrat, who Governor Patrick is endorsing he was not invited to speak this year, even though his brother piloted Flight 11.
There are just not enough adjectives to describe the anger I feel right now.
Hillary Clinton Agrees to give Back the Money she Received from Norman Hsu
![]()
According to this article, Hillary Clinton has decided to return the bundled money she received from Norman Hsu after all.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign said Monday it will return $850,000 in donations raised by Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu, who is under federal investigation for allegedly violating election laws.
Clinton, D-N.Y., previously had planned only to give to charity $23,000 she received from Hsu for her presidential and senatorial campaigns and to her political action committee, HillPac.
Hey, it’s only $850,000 she received illegally, what’s a few dollars between friends? Isn’t it funny that she times this announcement when the country is focused on the great General Petraeus’ testimony? She just slips it in under the radar.
“In light of recent events and allegations that Mr. Norman Hsu engaged in an illegal investment scheme, we have decided out of an abundance of caution to return the money he raised for our campaign,” Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said in a statement Monday night. “An estimated 260 donors this week will receive refunds totaling approximately $850,000 from the campaign.”
She decides to return the money out of an abundance of caution? That’s right, she was cautious because she was afraid that one of her opponents would use it against her. Of course Barack has his own campaign finance problems, so he probably would have kept his hypocritical mouth shut, but maybe others would have spoken up.

Beyond the Nanny State: Regulating and Legislating Common Sense
There is a term that I like to use for the government over-stepping their bounds and interfering in our every day lives with rules and regulations that are designed to protect us from ourselves. This is not a term that I coined, but it is a term that seems to fit this type of legislation. The term? Nanny state. The government has become the American people’s nanny. They are now out there regulating bad behavior, because they don’t believe we can be trusted to protect ourselves. It started with smoking, seatbelts, helmet laws, trans-fats and the list grows seemingly every day.
But lately I have come to realize that America has somehow gone beyond the nanny state. I’m not sure when it happened but somehow we have lost all of our collective common sense. What do I mean by this? What I am talking about here is the fact that there are so many warnings and disclaimers all over the place Americans don’t have to think for themselves any more. Read more…
Woman Jailed for Spilling Salt on Hamburger
I don’t know if this story can possibly be true, but here goes anyway.
A McDonald’s employee spent a night in jail and is facing criminal charges because a police officer’s burger was too salty, so salty that he says it made him sick.
Kendra Bull was arrested Friday, charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and freed on $1,000 bail.
Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who ”tried to thump the salt off.”
Okay, I think we can all agree that she should have thrown the burger away, but to spend the night in jail and face charges? It just happens that the man that got the salty burger was a police officer. This seems very petty to me, doesn’t the officer have criminals he could be going after? Aren’t there more important issues that he should be dealing with?
This is the kicker in the story though:
Police said samples of the burger were sent to the state crime lab for tests.
All this money and time wasted trying to prosecute this young woman when he should be on the streets protecting the woman he is prosecuting here. This man appears to be a power hungry son of a bitch who has nothing better to do then prosecute someone because he may have been embarrassed when he bit into a salty burger.
Los Angeles to Limit Fast Food Restaurants…for Our Own Good
As America gets fatter, policymakers are seeking creative approaches to legislating health. They may have entered the school cafeteria — and now they’re eyeing your neighborhood.
That is how this article starts. I still can’t figure out how the government has decided that they get to tell us what to eat, drink, and put into our bodies. If I want a big, juicy, mouthwatering hamburger I will have it. If my children want the same, I will decide if they should have it. I don’t need the government telling me what I can eat, or what I can let my children eat. What makes them think they have this right? They think they have it because they have been slowly but surely taken this right without the public seemingly aware of the encroachment the government is perpetrating on the American people. So, in this respect I guess they do have the right. I mean, if Americans aren’t even aware enough to see what is going on, why shouldn’t the government come in and save us from our own bad behavior? After all, it’s for our own good. isn’t it? Americans seem all to willing to let the government regulate all these industries that they have no right to. It isn’t until the government steps on one of THEIR so-called vices that they get angry. By that time it is too late.
Los Angeles officials, among others around the country, are proposing to limit new fast-food restaurants — a tactic that could be called health zoning.
Why does it always seem these stories come out of California?
“The people don’t want them, but when they don’t have any other options, they may gravitate to what’s there,” said Councilwoman Jan Perry, who proposed the ordinance in June, and whose district includes portions of South L.A. that would be affected by the plan.
A little supply and demand lesson here: The above quote states that people don’t want fast food restaurants, so they have to limit them. That makes absolutely no sense, simple supply and demand tells us that if people don’t want something(demand) than that said something will first cheapen it’s prices, and if that doesn’t work go away on it’s own. So why then do they feel the need to limit something they feel people don’t want anyway? It’s a simple matter of control, that is the only explanation I can come up with. Instead of letting the free market take care of itself they need to take care of it for our own good. And let’s not forget the tax aspect of this, once they deem a behavior bad for you they have a way of taxing the hell out of it.
This appears to be yet another attack on capitalism by the left, diguising it as legislating our health habits for our own good, even though they have no right to tell us what to eat. And what does the left do to the evil capitalists? They tax them and redistribute the money to whom they deem worthy. This is socialism hidden in their protect-the-American-people-from-their-own-stupid-ways mantra that all to many Americans seem to be falling for.
British Citizens Begin to Question the Global Warming Agenda
![]()
It appears as though the British citizens are beginning to wake up to the true agenda of the global warming movement: taxes.
As Britain’s major political parties call for more environmentally oriented taxes, two new studies question if the government is simply using them as an excuse to raise money.
In recent years, the British government has introduced a variety of taxes, including gas and aviation surcharges, to deal with the issue of climate change. Politicians are calling for more.
In August, the Liberal Democrats called for an increased airline tax on domestic flights while the Conservative Party is expected to call for more taxes on SUVs and sports cars.
Finally the citizens are starting to put two and two together and realize that the government is making money off of the peole who care so mush about the environment they are willing to sacrifice in the form of taxes to save the world. This is why politicians are the leaders on global warming. They see an opportunity to raise taxes, and if they can convince the people that the world is ending but they can fix it if you pay them is absurd. It’s sad people are so gullible when it comes to this issue.
“I think we need a bit of honesty,” he said. “If they’re going to increase green taxes, they should say how much and exactly what they’re going to be used for.”
He added that the country was seeing the beginning of a groundswell of opposition to environment taxes.
Accountability from politicians on taxes? I don’t think so. Who does this man think he is to question someone whose motive is to save the world? If they tell us we need to pay taxes to stop global warming, and they are so much smarter than us, we must pay the taxes. Right?
