This is a story I have been blogging about for about for about two weeks. PBS had made a documentary that was to be shown within a series they are running. It was about moderate Muslims who were speaking out about radical Islam. PBS decided not to air it because it painted the radicals in a bad light, they didn’t want to offend them. Political correctness gone amuck.
You can read my original posts here, here, and here. These posts have links to the articles I first referenced in regards to this issue.
PBS held a screening of this documentary on Wednesday and several congressmen appeared at it. You can read about it here.
From the article:
On Thursday, Franks drafted a letter, which he hopes other members of Congress will sign, urging the Public Broadcasting Service to air the documentary that it chose to keep out of the series “America at Crossroads.”
The film – co-produced by Burke, a Hollywood producer, and Frank Gaffney and Alex Alexiev of the Center for Security Policy – deals with the experiences of moderate Muslims who have fallen foul of Islamists. It also reveals an Islamist agenda including a push to build “parallel societies” in the West governed by Islamic law.
As I have posted before, if you don’t believe a parallel government can be set up that is governed by Muslim law, think again. It is already happening in Germany, where the court ruled it was okay for a Muslim man to beat his wife because the Koran condones it. It will eventually spread over here.
PBS brass reportedly sent Burke a note, asking him, “Don’t you check the politics of the people you work with?” – apparently a reference to Gaffney, who is president of the conservative think tank, the Center for Security Policy.
PBS executives reportedly sent notes to the producers, saying their film would “demonize Islam.”
There you have it, a conservative is behind this documentary. If he’s a conservative he must be a racist. If he’s a racist he must be an Islamophobe, so he will demonize Islam.
The bottom line is, there is a percentage of Muslims who want to destroy our culture but America seems to have forgotten that. September 11th is a distant memory, a bad dream. I think America needs to see this documentary to remind them there is evil in the world, evil that wants to destroy us.
I think it would be benificial to also see the Muslims who are against the radicals speaking up. I don’t think we hear enough from them, and this would be an opportunity to hear them.
PBS would rather not offend terrorists than show the American people the dark side of the Muslim religion.

Banning Plastic Bags in Boston
Ban,ban, ban, ban, ban, that’s all the liberals know how to do. This is what they consider legislating, telling us what we can’t do or have any more. This is the latest in Boston.
Don’t Massachusetts legislators have more pressing issues to deal with than banning plastic bags? First we had to switch to plastic bags because we were killing trees to make paper bags. Trees are a renewable resource but that didn’t matter, we had to stop using them. Now plastic bags are no good either, when will the absurdity stop?
Two More Scientists say Global Warming Debate is Irrational
You can read about two more scientists who doubt the global warming hoax here .
We keep hearing that the debate is over, that scientists have a consensus, and that we are destroying the planet. Nevermind that more and more scientists are coming out against the global warming hoax, or even that if you have a consensus in science than you don’t have a proven scientific fact, you are responsible for destroying the planet. You must change your lifestyle to save the planet.
From the article:
I think the proof in the pudding, based on what (media and governments) are saying, (is) we’re about three quarters of the way (to disaster) with the doubling of CO2 in the atmosphere,” said Patterson. “The world should be heating up like crazy by now, and it’s not. The temperatures match very closely with the solar cycles.”
Patterson said much of the up-to-date research indicates that “changes in the brightness of the sun” are almost certainly the primary cause of the warming trend since the end of the “Little Ice Age” in the late 19th century. Human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), the gas of concern in most plans to curb climate change, appear to have little effect on global climate, he said.
Is he saying the sun may control the heat on the earth? What a radical idea this is.
Co2 is actually a vital part of the environment. It feeds the plants and trees which in turn produces oxygen. I think oxygen is pretty important, don’t you?

Senate passes a Timetable for Defeat in Iraq
Well, we all knew it was coming and today it’s finally here. The Democrats have officially surrendered to the terrorists. Osama bin Laden was right all those years ago when he called America a paper tiger. We no longer have the will or resolve to fight for our country. It’s a sad day when America just curls into a ball and hides from the true challenges that face her.
Harry Reid said “We ask the president to read and to sign this bill. The president has a choice – heed the call of the American people, a bipartisan majority of Congress, military experts to change course or keep our troops committed to an all but ended civil war. The choice is an easy one,”
A bipartisan majority? Joe Leiberman voted against it, to nobody’s surprise, and only two Republican voted in favor of the bill. That hardly sounds like a bill with bipartisan support. It sounds like the vote was basically along party lines.
Nancy Pelosi called the war in Iraq “the greatest ethical challenge facing our nation.” And she is right about this. Unfortunately she is on the wrong side of this issue. This war is ethical and necessary and history will prove the president right. Someday generations will look back at this and wonder what were the Democrats thinking, to steal a line from Al Gore in his global warming senate testimony.
Former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and current king of pork, Robert Byrd said “The president has failed in his mission to bring peace and stability to the people of Iraq,” “It’s time to bring our troops home from Iraq.”
Nothing this dispicable racist says has any validity with me.
Mitch McConnell’s take,”The solution is simple: Take out the surrender date, take out the pork, and get the funds to our troops,”
That’s the truth. Now that all the political points have been scored by playing to the hard left it’s time to work on the real bill. The bill that the senate knows the president will sign. They knew this bill had no chance of being signed so they took the opportunity to placate the left while at the same time not cutting off funding for the troops. They are too cowardly to cut funding. They know what the backlash would be. If they really had a mandate in the last election to end the war, why are they afraid to cut funding?
If the war is lost, as Harry Reid said last week, then it would be irresponsible for the Democrats not to cut off funding immediately. The truth is they want to make the president leave Iraq before 2008 because if they win the presidency they don’t want to have to make the decision on whether to surrender or not. They want to force the president to withdraw so it looks like he lost the war, they don’t want to pull the troops out if one of them is elected president because they don’t want to be perceived as the side that lost the war. They are the ones who have tied the president’s hands in the war and made it hard to win by undercutting the war effort. If the war is eventually lost, it’s on the Democrat’s hands.

Well who would have ever guessed it. Carbon offset companies may be fraudulent.
This destroys my faith in the green lifestyle. I hope my sarcasm reads through loud enough.
The fact that so many people buy into this whole global warming, carbon offset hoax is what really hurts my faith in the American people. It is nothing more than an attempt to tax you for your so called carbon emissions.
From the article:
A Financial Times investigation has uncovered widespread failings in the new markets for greenhouse gases, suggesting some organisations are paying for emissions reductions that do not take place.
Others are meanwhile making big profits from carbon trading for very small expenditure and in some cases for clean-ups that they would have made anyway.
What, there are profits to be made here? And I thought Al Gore was paying carbon credits to himself to save the planet. Silly me.
Here are some of the problems the investigation found:
■ Widespread instances of people and organisations buying worthless credits that do not yield any reductions in carbon emissions.
■ Industrial companies profiting from doing very little – or from gaining carbon credits on the basis of efficiency gains from which they have already benefited substantially.
■ Brokers providing services of questionable or no value.
■ A shortage of verification, making it difficult for buyers to assess the true value of carbon credits.
■ Companies and individuals being charged over the odds for the private purchase of European Union carbon permits that have plummeted in value because they do not result in emissions cuts.
And there’s more, just check out the article. This whole scam is designed for the sole purpose of tax revenues. First they introduce the idea of carbon credits and carbon offsets as voluntary expenditures to make green people feel like they are saving the planet. It also serves the purpose of getting the rest of us used to the idea and terms of carbon offsets. Once these are ingrained in the minds of the American people, the idea of mandatory carbon credit taxes will be imposed.
This whole scam is designed for new revenue streams, we need to stop this before we face all these new taxes.
Rudi Guiliani holds Town Hall Meeting in New Hampshire
You can read about it here.
He talked about his view on taxes:
“If you understand how to lower taxes, you understand how to grow an economy,” Giuliani said. “I’ve done it more effectively than anyone else running for President.”
Positive economic growth, Giuliani said, comes from the private sector. Lowering taxes will allow the private sector to grow and produce jobs and income, which will help the United States stay competitive in the global economy.
He also talks about reducing spending, something I think we can all agree needs to be done. He talks about ending America’s dependency on foreign oil. Something I don’t believe will happen, but all candidates talk about it. It’s a hot button issue, and which candidate is going to say they are against it? None of them.
He also points to this fact:
During his time as mayor, Giuliani said he was able to accomplish great things such as lowering the number of people living in poverty and on welfare, reducing the crime rate and turning a $2.3 billion budget deficit into a multibillion dollar surplus.
That’s a key statement to me, reducing the people collecting welfare. Get them out working not making it too easy and tempting to earn a lifetime of free income. I’m not saying to just kick them out on the street, welfare should be a temporary solution to a bad situation, but it should not turn into a career. It’s too easy for people to collect welfare, SSI, and medicare that should be working.
On Iraq:
During his address, Giuliani also spoke against a troop withdrawal in Iraq and said that publicizing it would give opposing forces an advantage.
“It makes no sense to print out when and how you’re going to deplete your troops,” Giuliani said.
He added that Iraq is part of a larger war on terrorism and the United States should come out of the country with a structure in place to diffuse terrorism.
This is an issue I couldn’t agree with more. The more I look at the big three front runners, the more I think Guiliani is my man. I still have to see how some of the lesser known candidates do when the debates roll around.

Follow Up on PBS Pulling a Documentary about Terrorism
As I have posted before here, and followed up here, PBS was to run a documentary on Islam vs Islamists. It has been pulled. This was to be part of a series that is running on PBS. This documentary was about centrist Muslims who are speaking out against the radicals. Personally I wish we would hear more of them speak up and this would have been the chance for them to do so.
This post is another follow up to my first two, you can read an article about this here.
From the article:
“Islam vs. Islamists: Voices from the Muslim Center” highlights the work of moderate Muslims who oppose the Islamist agenda and are willing to speak out. PBS officials decided against airing the film, which PBS’s Robert MacNeil told the Diane Rehm Show earlier this month was “one-sided” and “alarmist.”
It’s alarmist to hear from Muslims who denounce radicals? These are the people I want to hear from. There is a threat in this world that needs to be dealt with and hiding from it isn’t the answer. Maybe people do need an alarm to go off to wake them up. But if Sept. 11th didn’t manage to wake them up nothing will.
Islamists are working to build “parallel societies” with the aim of imposing strict Islamic law in parts of the West, according to a documentary the Public Broadcasting System has chosen not to air.
Whether you believe this or not it IS happening in Europe. It happened in Germany when a court ruled a man could beat his wife because he was Muslim and the Koran said it’s okay. This is just one small step, they will keep taking baby steps and before long you won’t even know what happened. It starts in Europe, but it will make it here eventually. Can you say multi-culturalism? It starts there and then progresses. Their goal is to Islamize the entire world.
Some of the key Muslim figures featured in the documentary believe PBS is practicing censorship and doing a disservice to the American public.
I think they are doing us a disservice, I think America needs to see what the agenda is of radical Islamists. It’s to convert the world, if you are not Muslim you are an infidel.
Danish lawmaker Naser Khader has been at the center of debate in his own country over the practice of Islamic law (shari’a). An imam has sought to impose shari’a outside the framework of Danish law, the film contends. Khader, a Muslim originally from Syria, has argued against the move.“For such opinions, he has aroused the wrath of those who want Islamic parallel societies within Denmark,” says the film’s voiceover.Khader discusses some of the menacing messages he has received, including threats such as, “We will kill you,” “We will make your life a hell,” and “If you participate in democracy you are a traitor.”
America needs to hear this, I know I am sounding like an alarmist now but our country needs to hear this. September 11th was not George Bush’s fault, it wasn’t Bill Clinton’s fault. Maybe if we were paying closer attention for the years leading up to September 11th it could have been prevented. But September 11th was the fault of radical Islamists who feel it is their God given right to convert the world to Islam and kill those that don’t.
It’s time to WAKE UP, we can’t make them like us, they won’t go away, they may hide for a while but they will return.
I just wish PBS had the guts to run this documentary because American’s need to see this side of the story.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Oh) moves to Impeach VP Dick Cheney
Dennis Kucinich will announce articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney.
On what grounds?:
“One, they misled the nation into war, an aggressive and illegal war that has obviously been catastrophic,” Park said. “They are currently violating the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act” by ordering wiretap warrants without FISA court approval and they are committing torture in violation of the Geneva Conventions.
Same old story again, Bush lied people died. It doesn’t matter if everyone thought the intellegence was correct throughout the ’80’s and ’90’s. All that matters is revenge for President Clinton’s impeachment.
If you want to have a trial for impeachment because the president is trying to protect the American people, I have only one thing to say:
BRING IT ON
I found an article at thatpoliticalblog.com that really is infuriating. This is the article that was linked to at that site.
An illegal alien who was on probation for a DWI hit and killed an American citizen. How was he allowed to stay in this country after being arrested for drunk driving? He broke the law to get here, why would he uphold the laws of the land once he is here?
From the article:
Melendres was just convicted last week on a DWI charge from a March 16, 2006, incident. He was sentenced to probation, alcohol assessment and treatment
Who was going to pay for this? The tax payers, we know he didn’t have any insurance. Why would he need any if he gets it from the government for free.
Sohe is out on probation, sentenced to treatment that we will pay for if he shows up for it and he kills a US citizen. This cannot be tolerated any more.
N.C. Rep. Sue Myrick, a proponent of immigration reform, says the only thing that would keep such illegal immigrants off the streets after drinking is to deport them once they’re convicted of DWI.
That sounds good but why wait until they commit a second crime to deport them? But it’s obviously better than what we are doing right now.
We need to secure the borders and stop this invasion, it’s only a matter of time before terrorists walk in from the south unimpeded, if they haven’t already.

Georgia Students have First Integrated Prom
This is amazing in today’s day and age. To still have had anything segregated, I just don’t know what to say. You just don’t think it would be permissible today.
Said one student:
“There was not anybody that I can remember that was black,” she said. “The white people have theirs, and the black people have theirs. It’s nothing racial at all.”
Huh? Is this what Georgia students are being taught? I heard even the Stockton limo rentals had to be segregated during prom time. Madness!
I did a little searching into the present and former Georgia Governors and found something interesting. According to wikipedia.com from 1872 until 2003 all of Georgia’s governors were Democrats. In 2003 Sonny Perdue, a Republican took office.
I find it strange that the party that tells us to celebrate diversity, the party that brings us political correctness found nothing wrong with this. They found no need to act on segregation. They found it acceptable.
It wasn’t until a Republican took office that segregation was eliminated. Was this just coincidence or was there a specific reason?
