More Good News In Iraq
The left better be careful with their investment in a US defeat. The tide may be shifting in Baghdad while the left keeps saying the US can’t win. They are going to look foolish when we win this war, they are going to Mcgovern themselves again. I am so sick and tired of hearing them say we can’t and won’t win. All we need to do is fight with all of our might and noone can beat us. Now that we have stepped up the Baghdad offensive we may be turning a corner. It’s just too bad it took this long, but we had to try to fight a politically correct war or the left in this country would have jumped all over the president for not limiting collateral damage.

Baghdad Offensive Cuts Sectarian Death Toll
By Ross Colvin
BAGHDAD (Reuters) – On any given day in Baghdad, Iraqi police can be expected to report finding up to 50 bodies shot, tortured and dumped in the streets of the capital, but on Saturday only five were found, police said on Sunday.
It was the most dramatic sign yet that a stepped-up military offensive by more than 110,000 Iraqi and U.S security forces is, at least for now, curbing the sectarian violence that has turned the city’s streets into killing fields. Read more…
Iraq PM tells Bush of ‘dazzling successes’ in Baghdad
From breitbart.com, I wonder why we don’t see this on the mainstream media. Oh yeah, they hate Bush:
Iraq’s Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki told US President George W. Bush by videolink that the first few days of their countries’ joint security plan in Baghdad had been a great success.
“He told President Bush that the security plan had seen dazzling success during its first days and that the government will deal with every outlaw in a firm manner whatever group they belong to,” according to his office.
Some Sunni Iraqis fear their Shiite prime minister might use the security plan as a cover to advance his own group’s interests, but Maliki denies this, and cited the example of aid he said he was giving Sunnis in western Iraq.
“He said the sheikhs of the tribes in Anbar Province play a very important role in the hunt for Al-Qaeda and that the government will supply all kinds of support to these tribes and start reconstruction efforts,” his office said.
According to Maliki’s statement, Bush thanked him for showing leadership, and promised the United States would continue to support his efforts.
Bush has come under fire at home for vowing to send an extra 21,500 troops to join the 132,000-strong US force in Iraq in order to support Maliki’s moves to pacify the capital, which is in the grip of a sectarian war.
The US House of Representatives was expected to vote later Friday to express their disapproval of the plan, which has already seen thousands of US and Iraqi troops deployed around Baghdad without encountering much resistance.
Sad Day For America
Well, today the house voted in a non-binding resolution to oppose the troop surge in Iraq. It is hard for me to put into words how I feel about this, but I will try. The Democrats try to say they support the troops, but then they send a clear message to the enemy that they are weak. They are providing aide and comfort to the enemy by telling them if they keep attacking us we will withdraw from Iraq. This has to embolden the enemy, how can it not. If they support the troops they have a funny way of showing it, they are making it more dangerous for them. Of course, the more of our soldiers that die the better it is for the Democrats. How sick is That? It is hard to believe that they put partisan politics above the lives of our soldiers who VOLUNTEERED to defend this country.
Secondly, this is such a cowardly act. A non-binding resolution? They are trying to satisfy their base, who blame America for the Sept. 11th attacks, while trying not to seem weak on national defense at the same time. This strategy will not work. Their base will just get madder and madder at them until they defund the war. And if they vote to defund the war it will turn the rest of the country against them. They know it would be a political nightmare to defund the war. So they try and have it both ways and show they are against the war, but won’t stop it.
All this does is show us who they really are, partisan frauds with no guts. If they had the courage of their convictions they would vote to defund the war and end the debate once and for all

The Following is an article from nationalreview.com that casts more doubt on global warming:
It’s The Science, Stupid
By Thomas Sowell
If you take the mainstream media seriously, you might think that every important scientist believes that “global warming” poses a great threat, and that we need to make drastic changes in the way we live, in order to avoid catastrophes to the environment, to various species, and to ourselves. The Surge Is Working
For the last week or so there has been a major offensive in Bagdad. al-Sadr has fled Bagdad and is in hiding. He believs the surge will work or he wouldn’t have fled. Why doesn’t he just fight anyway? He’s got 72 virgins waiting for him.
Yesterday the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri ,was injured and a top aide was killed.
This surge will work if we keep it up, we must stay on the offensive until the job is done. We must fire on them wherever they hide, politically correct or not.
I call on the American people, congress, and the senate to stand behind the president, and America and be on the right side of this war. We will see victory if we keep up the offensive.
A Great Article About Duncan Hunter
This is a good article about Duncan Hunter that appeared in the New Hampshire Union Leader. I will be closely watching him and Mike Hickabee to see if one of these two can emerge for the Republicans. They are both longshots but who knows what can happen once the capaigns get in full gear.
Hunter enters Presidential sweepstakes as the most conservative Republican
By GEORGE F. WILL
WHEN BOB HUNTER, a Riverside, Calif., businessman, would hear of a conservative’s campaign that needed volunteers, he would pile his family into the station wagon and drive off to ring doorbells. Hunter’s son Duncan grew up believing in retail politics.
When Hunter returned home after serving as an alternate Goldwater delegate at the 1964 Republican convention in San Francisco, he told Duncan about chatting with another alternate, an amiable fellow, some actor, named Reagan. Who two years later was elected governor. Duncan learned early on about rapid upward mobility in politics.
In 1969, he dropped out of college, joined the Army and was sent to Vietnam. From there he mailed his pay to a friend who purchased for him an island in Idaho’s Snake River, where Duncan farmed after his discharge.
Then another friend said a San Diego law school would admit him without a college degree. In 1980 he was a lawyer with a storefront office in San Diego’s Hispanic community when his father walked in and told him he could be a congressman. Never mind, his father said, that this district was only 29 percent Republican. Reagan was at the top of the ticket.
Duncan says his Baptist minister, respecting the separation of church and state, told parishioners they should vote for the Reagan of their choice. They distributed 400,000 Duncan brochures. Today Duncan is in his 14th term representing eastern San Diego County. Three weeks ago he formally launched his Presidential candidacy.
Why does he think he can become the first House member elected President since James Garfield in 1880? Why does he think he can do better than the two strongest House candidates in recent elections? In 1976, Arizona Rep. Mo Udall finished second to Jimmy Carter in the New Hampshire primary (28.4 percent to 22.7 percent), then narrowly lost Wisconsin (Carter 36.6, Udall 35.6). In 1988, Missouri Rep. Dick Gephardt won Iowa, finished second to Michael Dukakis in New Hampshire, then ran out of money.
“For some candidates,” Hunter says, “the conservative constituency is an inconvenience. For me, it is my hope.” He hopes to be seen as the most conservative Republican candidate, as he understands conservatism. He is pro-life, an expert on defense issues, a hawk on border security (he authored the legislation that mandates 854 miles of fences across the major southern border routes used by smugglers of narcotics and people) and a skeptic about free trade.
He chaired the Armed Services Committee in the previous two Congresses and believes that the principal issue for the foreseeable future will be national security — not just Iraq and terrorism, but also the rise of China’s military (perhaps nine submarines under construction, with five more to come; the purchase of Russian-built destroyers designed to attack U.S. aircraft carriers with very fast and sophisticated missiles; upward of 800 medium-range ballistic missiles deployed). He believes U.S. forces can pacify Iraq, where his son served two tours as a Marine.
Asked what his wife said when he told her he was running for President, he pauses, then says, smiling: “She’s happy now.” She seems remarkably resilient. Not long after a wildfire consumed his house, he asked her, “Honey, can you do a fundraiser in two weeks?” She said, “Sure. My son is in Fallujah, my house has burned down, how many people do you want to invite?”
“God bless New Hampshire,” Hunter says, noting that its population (1.3 million) is less than half that of San Diego County. But he almost certainly overestimates the power of retail politics in a nominating process that is becoming increasingly compressed. California, Illinois, New Jersey and Florida might move their primaries to Feb. 5. If they do, both parties’ nominees might be known a year from now.
Hunter won what might have been the first contest of this Presidential cycle — the Maricopa County (Phoenix) straw poll. It’s a start. He says he has $300,000 “in pledges,” a sum that could be a rounding error in the McCain campaign’s accounts. But he says, “I kind of know what I stand for” so “I don’t need consultants, and that saves a lot of money.” He has produced some commercials — just talking to the camera — for $200.
One-third of new businesses fail within two years; 50 percent to 70 percent of new products that make it to market fail. Hunter, a burly, rumpled political product seeking a market niche, probably will fail. But as Goldwater said when he entered politics in Phoenix in 1949, “It ain’t for life and it may be fun.”

Watch Duncan Hunter For President In ’08
This man looks like an interesting conservative candidate for Republicans in ’08. Right now I am following him and Mike Huckabee. These two men look like they could be good alternatives to the major candidates.
The following is from townhall.com:
Conservative Case for Duncan Hunter In 2008
By John Hawkins
If you’re looking for someone who can represent the conservative wing of the Republican Party in 2008, California Congressman Duncan Hunter fills that bill far better that any of the top contenders who have already gotten into the race. Here’s a short, but sweet primer that may help explain why that’s the case.
He Is The “National Security Candidate.”If you’re looking for a candidate with credibility on national security issues, Duncan Hunter is your guy. Hunter is a hawkish, former Vietnam veteran who “served in the 173rd Airborne and 75th Army Rangers” and earned a Bronze Star. His son also served two tours in Iraq as a Marine, so we’re talking about a guy who has had “skin in the game” over in Mesopotamia. Additionally, Hunter served on the House Armed Services Committee and rose to the rank of Chairman before the Democrat takeover in 2006.
So, when it comes to foreign policy issues like Iraq, we’re talking about a candidate who oozes credibility. But, has he done an about face on Iraq now that the polls are against it? No, he strongly supports the surge and he had this to say about how he views the war in Iraq when I interviewed him back in December:
“Well, the U.S. is following in the same basic pattern that we’ve followed for 60 years in expanding freedom around the world. (The first step is) that we stand up a free government and we’ve done that in Iraq. The second step is we stand up a military capable of protecting that government and the third step is the U.S. leaves. We followed that pattern in Japan and the Philippines and Salvadore and our own hemisphere and it’s been the traditional and the effective method of this country spreading freedom around the world.”In my opinion, that’s probably a better, simple explanation of what we’re doing than George Bush has given in the last couple of years.
Good Fences Make Good Neighbors
Duncan Hunter has been one of the Republican House leaders in the fight against illegal immigration. Not only is Hunter the primary mover and shaker behind the San Diego border fence, he “wrote the Secure Fence Act” which George Bush signed into law in late October of last year.
Yet, Hunter has managed to avoid some of the harsh rhetoric that sometimes gets other tough-on-illegal-immigration pols in trouble. For example, in our interview last year, Hunter emphasized how important it is to get a fence up in order to prevent illegal immigrants from being killed as they cross the border:
“The first piece is that the major part of the fence is to be built between Calexico, California and Douglas, Arizona and that portion, that’s 392 miles, that’s the area through which most of the people come who have died of dehydration or sunstroke in the desert sun in the summer months. So one provision that we put in there is that we have to have at least interlocking cameras…before the hot season, so there’s a humanitarian dimension to this and that’s something that’s been missed by many of the liberals.”His Trade Position May Be a “Bug” To Republicans, But It Can Be A “Feature” To Democrats
There is one area in particular where Duncan Hunter departs from the conservative orthodoxy and that’s on trade issues. He’s neither a fan of free trade agreements like NAFTA and CAFTA, nor does he think we’re getting a square deal on trade from China.
Although many Republicans will disagree with Hunter on this issue, many Democrats find themselves nodding their heads in agreement with what he has to say. In important electoral-vote-rich states like Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, Hunter’s message will resonate with working class Democrats who might not otherwise vote Republican. That could be the crucial factor that swings an election in our favor in 2008.
All This And He’s Socially Conservative, Too
There have been a lot of complaints that the two front-runners for the GOP nomination, John McCain and Rudy Giuliani, have little to offer to social conservatives who are going to have to turn out in 2008 if the GOP has a chance to win.
On the other hand, Duncan Hunter is opposed to gay marriage, staunchly anti-abortion, and should have no problem appealing to conservative Christians. As a matter of fact, Hunter has even introduced the, “Right to Life Act (which) specifically acknowledges the personhood of the unborn.” Hunter says that bill, if passed, “would allow us to have a reversal of the effects of Roe v. Wade without a constitutional amendment.”
He Has Lots Of Mileage, But No Heavy Baggage
One of the things that’s becoming apparent about the top contenders in the race for the Republican nomination is that all of them have some extremely heavy baggage. We’ve got divorces, adulterers galore, candidates whom much of the party won’t support for one reason or another, a candidate who will be 72 in 2008, and another one, who, unfortunately, may lose a considerable amount of support because of his religious beliefs. Now, Hunter? He has been married once, has no significant scandals to live down, and there don’t appear to be any other major minuses that will cost him a few percentage points at election time. Could he have some scandal in his closet that we know nothing about? Maybe, but that’s the case with any politician. At the moment, he looks very good on this front compared to the top contenders.
Furthermore, Duncan Hunter was first elected to Congress back in 1980. In a post 9/11 world, a Vietnam vet with 25+ years of experience in government makes a nice contrast to the trio of lightweights who are fighting for the Democrat nomination (Obama, 2 years in the Senate, Edwards, 6 years in the Senate, and Clinton, 6 years in the Senate). If there were another 9/11, with whom would you feel more comfortable in the Oval Office, John Edwards, who’d probably curl up in the fetal position under his desk, or a guy like Duncan Hunter, who has been around the block a few times?
To Know Him Is To Love Him, Or At Least To Like Him Better Than McCain
When you’re taking a look at a 2nd tier candidate like Duncan Hunter, who has minimal name recognition at the national level, the first thing most people will think is, “Good, bad, it doesn’t matter if he can’t capture the nomination.” That’s a fair point. But, there have been a couple of indications that Hunter has what it takes to catch on.
The first was a mid-January “straw poll of Republican precinct committeemen“ in Maricopa County, Arizona. Hunter took first place. He also did surprisingly well, given his lack of name recognition, in a poll of right-of-center bloggers. In that poll, Hunter drew the fourth highest level of support and when the level of opposition to each candidate was subtracted from that person’s support, Hunter actually came in second place.
Notice that in both cases, you have two groups of extremely well informed, conservative participants, that are probably several months ahead of the general public in knowledge about the candidates and in both cases, Hunter did very well. That’s a strong indication that if Hunter can get his name out there, he can compete with the top tier candidates in the race.
Conclusion:
Granted, it’s a little too early to endorse any candidate, Duncan Hunter included. After all, we don’t know all the candidates that will be running yet and they haven’t even had the first debate.
Moreover, there are a lot of different positions that many of the candidates have yet to take a stance on one way or the other. For example, there are 2nd Amendment issues. Hunter is “near perfect” there. A Balanced Budget Amendment? He supports it. What sort of judges would candidates appoint to the bench? Hunter would prefer someone like Scalia. Pardoning Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean? Hunter thinks that is the right thing to do. School vouchers, the missile defense shield, a 2/3 majority in Congress to raise taxes? Hunter is in favor of all of them.
Does that mean other candidates won’t end up taking those same positions? No. Does it mean Hunter is perfect? No. But, when you compare Duncan Hunter to everyone else in the race right now, he looks very appealing. In the end, maybe that won’t matter because Hunter won’t get any traction, but I, for one, hope that conservatives will take a good, long look at Hunter before they make a decision on which candidate to support in 2008.

Political Correctness And Islam
This is an article from americanthinker.com. Keep in mind when you read this that it is written by an Iranian-born American citizen, I think he knows what he is talking about. We need to wake up as many sleeping Americans as we can before it’s to late. This is why I believe political correctness will destroy us.
Here’s the article:
PC is the Incubator of Islamism
By Amil Imani
Time and again we are told by the politically correct “experts” not to worry about Islam posing a threat to our way of life. We are repeatedly lectured that only a very small minority of Muslims are troublemakers who are giving the peaceful masses of Muslims a bad name. We are also informed that the terrorists, who happened to be Muslims, are the disaffected and the young. And not to worry, since as the fire of youth turns to ashes of old age the rebellious will mellow, as they always have.
With heavy assurances like this, coming from so many know-it-all authoritative figures, we can sleep soundly without the aid of sleeping pills. After all, people reason that these pundits are “experts” whose job is to know and tell it like it is. Those who voice contrary views must be a bunch of racist, alarmist hate mongers. Who is right?
Wouldn’t be more prudent to let the facts settle the matter, rather than blindly accepting either position? Of course it would, except for one huge problem. In the face of threats, people tend to go to the mind’s medicine cabinet and take a few denial and rationalization pills, in the same way that it is the aspirin bottle they turn to when a headache strikes. Why not? We are the Easy Species. We love effortless, quick and simple solutions. And that’s not invariably bad. It has given us all kinds of labor and time saving devices.
Yet, the Islam problem is very real and deadly. Neither the pronouncements of the experts, nor the tranquilizing pills of the mind can make it go away. It is here and it shows every sign of imposing itself on us. Let us look at some of the facts.
- Not every Muslim wears an explosive vest ready to detonate in the midst of a crowd of innocent civilians, yet there are more volunteers for the mission than there are explosive vests. The Islamic Republic of Iran, for instance, hasn’t even officially joined this form of jihad. Yet, by its own admission, it has over 10,000 volunteers trained ready to be deployed, and thousands more queuing to join in. This time around, the jihadists heading for Allah’s heaven might come fitted with nice little suitcases of dirty bombs instead of the bulky explosive vests. Recall that it took only 19 of these killers to launch the aerial mass murder of 9/11 that killed 3,000 people, shattered our open trusting way of life, and cost us billions of dollars.
- The jihadists are not confined to a minority of disaffected Muslim youth. How young are Bin Laden, his deputy doctor of death Al Zawahiri, mullah Omar of the Taliban, Khamenei and Refsanjani of Iran, just to name a few? How disaffected are they? Muhammad Ata, leader of the 19 airborne thugs and the decapitator of Wall Street Journal reporter Pearl were somewhat younger, yet well-healed and Western educated.
- Just coin some terms such as the “Melting Pot,” or “Multiculturalism” and you have the problem solved? Roll out the red carpet for the immigrant Muslims, treat them as you would your own citizens, give them stipends, medical care, and free education and they will integrate seamlessly into the society? No such thing at all. The idea of Melting Pot may work with people who come from different lands to make the new country their home. The Islamists, on the other hand, come with the belief that they already own the place and want to make it part of the Ummeh. Some forty percent of second and third generation Muslim Britons reject British democracy, express their allegiance to Islam and want to live under Sharia. So much for the Melting Pot comfort pill.
- The new Islamist arrivals take advantage of the provisions of the most benign system known to humanity, democracy, to implode it from within. Muslims, by sheer numbers, will soon be in a position to vote out democracy in many countries. They are already doing that in bits and pieces. They are imposing many of their values, in a number of societies, even while they are in the minority. Politicians, hungry for votes and devoted to the practice of political correctness bend backward to accede to Islamists’ demands.
- As for Multiculturalism, it is even more of a delusion than the Melting Pot myth. It is a second generation Comfort Pill. Since the Melting Pot proved to be worse than a placebo, the politically correct gave us the new pill. A glance at Europe shows how Multiculturalism in fact has served as the incubator of Islamism in no time at all. Europe’s Multiculturalism is rapidly birthing a Uniculturalism, if the Islamists’ medieval way of life can be dignified as a culture.
- Respect for diversity, separation of religion and state, freedom of belief and expression, are pillars of democracy, yet anathema to Islam. In no Islamic land do you find an ecumenical organization. It is only in non-Islamic countries that the shameless duplicitous Muslim, be he an imam, a mullah, or a regular run-of-the- mill faithful of Allah, meekly participates in ecumenical feel-good gatherings.
- To Muslims, no other religion is deemed worthy of recognition, much less accommodation. There is not a single church or synagogue or a Buddhist temple in all of Saudi Arabia. They are barred. The Islamic Republic of Iran’s raft of genocidal pogroms includes the heinous practice of bulldozing even the cemeteries of its Baha’i religious minority. The Islamic tyranny of the mullahs imprisons Christian Iranians for celebrating Christmas. Egypt denies its own citizens identity cards for refusing to lie and fake their religious belief or disbelief. The ID cards are required for education, securing work, receiving medical care and just about every right of citizenship. Without it, a citizen is literally subjected to slow death.
- In Islam only Muslim men, and, to a lesser extent, Muslim women, are entitled to certain rights. All non-Muslims, including the so-called people of the book, namely Christians and Jews, are at best second-class subject, subjects who must pay the back-breaking Jezyyeh, poll tax, for their “sin” of not converting to Islam. So, as Islam makes its inroads in new lands, as its membership swells through explosive birth and conversion, secular democracies will be inevitably replaced by Islamism with its stone-age Sharia laws. The best offer that Islam will make is to spare the non-Muslim’s life if he puts on the heavy yoke of Jezyyeh for the rest of his living days.
- Not to worry about the horrific things that are happening on the other side of the world? If Muslims act heinously toward non-Muslims, it is just the way things are in those countries and it is hardly any of our business? This is the same attitude that set Islamization of Europe on a seemingly irreversible track. One European country after another is rapidly buckling under the weight of Islamism.
- Most importantly, not to worry about Islamization of our country? After all, Muslims are about 6-7 million minority in a population of nearly 300 million, you reason? That even a smaller number of these Muslims are hothead radicals, while the majority is just like everyone else? But small minorities can overwhelm the majority by use of coercion and deadly force. Islamists are notorious for their dedication to the use of force for achieving their aims. The Taliban were a very small minority in Afghanistan, the Islamists were a tiny faction in the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran. Both overwhelmed the masses and imposed their reign of terror. The terrorist Hamas is also a “minority” in number, yet it rules the Palestinian Territory. Hizbollah of Lebanon is a minority, yet it has taken the country to the verge of destruction.
- Islamists are Islam’s locomotive that takes the wrecking-ball Islamic train on its demolition course. Islam and democracy are incompatible. As democracies practice their magnificent accommodating belief, they knowingly or unknowingly lay the track for the advancing wrecking train of Islam. We, in the United States of America must resist Islamism while it is still gathering momentum, unless we wish to end up in the same fix as the Europeans.
- We, in the United States, further need to embark on a comprehensive legal, educational, and social campaign to eradicate the deadly plague of Islam. By effective action, we even save those peaceful Muslims from their own affliction. I am not hatemongering. I would love to see all Muslims become ex-Muslims and full-fledged members of a diverse tolerant democratic society. It is a statement of fact about what Islam is. Islam is a highly communicable pandemic violent disease that demands urgent and serious containment.
Europe is already badly infected with Islamism. It is the coal-miners’ canary. It is telling us that the next stop is America. We must act and act now. We must not sacrifice our cherished way of life and the lives of our children at the altar of political correctness: the incubator of Islamofascism.

Barack Obama Insults Our Troops
During a speech Barack Obama showed his true colors about his feelings for our military, he said “We now have spent $400 billion and have seen over 3,000 lives of the bravest young Americans wasted.”
Wasted, he says Americans who have given their lives defending our country have wasted their lives. Can you possibly understand how disgraceful a comment like that is. These are people who love our country so much they are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice so that we may continue our way of life uninterrupted.
The fact that he believes they have wasted their lives shows he cannot be trusted with national security.
I hope that everyone out there takes this seriously, and thinks twice before they vote for someone as linguini spined as this man.
Are Adoptive Parent Better Than Biological Parents
A new survey by American Sociological Review has found that adoptive parents are better than biological parents. Now you may think that sounds strange or interesting, but you only have to read the first paragraph of the study to reveal their true agenda.
This is how the study report started:
Adoptive parents invest more time and financial resources in their children than biological parents, according to a new national study challenging arguments that have been used to oppose same-sex marriage and gay adoption.
There you have it. This study is nothing but an attempt to further the gay marraige, gay adoption agenda. This is a liberal hit piece, an attack on traditional mariage and the traditional family.
The left wants to break down all of societies values and they need to be stopped. They want everybody to be beholden to the government and entitlements so they will keep them in power. The easiest way to do this is break down the family, and all right and wrong.
