Gunrunner: New documents show that Eric Holder lied to the Congress under oath
When Eric Holder testified in front of the Congress on May 3rd of this year he testified that he had only heard about Fast and Furious a few weeks before. I have previously shown video evidence that Eric Holder may have been lying to the Congress in this post.
In the video from 2009 Deputy Attorney General David Ogden states that he and Eric Holder are taking new steps in the fight against the drug cartels and admits that Operation Gunrunner was part of these steps. This confirms that Eric Holder knew about what was going on unless he didn’t know about the details of the deadly operation, and I find that to be highly unlikely now that we know the scope of this deadly scheme.
So giving Eric Holder the benefit of the doubt–which he doesn’t deserve–let us move to today’s revelation that Eric Holder was informed in emails as early as 2010–a full year before he pleaded ignorance to the Congress–which shows that he was kept in the loop while Fast and Furious was in the process of killing hundreds of Mexicans and at least two Americans.
in a July 2010 memo, Michael Walther, director of the National Drug Intelligence Center, told Holder straw buyers in the Operation Fast and Furious case “are responsible for the purchase of 1,500 firearms that were then supplied to the Mexican drug trafficking cartels.”
Also, on October 18, 2010, one of Holder’s chief deputies, Lanny Breuer, chief of the department’s Criminal Division, told Holder in a memo that prosecutors were ready to issue indictments in Operation Fast and Furious
Documents also show, contrary to earlier reports, the Justice Department was aware that ATF agents under the department’s direction were involved in the controversial practice known as “gun walking” — allowing illicit gun sales to proceed to track the traffickers to higher-ups. The department has said it did not allow guns to “walk.”
Eric Holder’s office claims that because the department receives so many emails on a daily basis that it is impossible for Eric Holder to read them all. Are we to believe that internal emails are left unread by Eric Holder AND the people who are hired to sift through them on a daily basis? If this is true than this is a dereliction of duty on its own, but I think we all know that this isn’t true; Eric Holder lied to the Congress, he knew about Fast and Furious from the beginning and in all likelihood he is the person who authorized it–probably with the consent of Dear Leader.
Somebody on his staff must have read these emails and it would require the willing suspension of disbelief to think that a staff member would read emails which talk about an illegal activity such as letting guns walk and would not inform Eric Holder this practice was ongoing; and it is just as unbelievable that a staff member would read an email about impending indictments and would not mention this to Eric Holder. Does he really think the American people–as well as Darrell Issa and Charles Grassley–are this stupid?!
This scandal, and the coverup involved, is growing larger by the day and it is time for Eric Holder to resign as he waits to be indicted for his role in the death of Brian Terry.

I’ll be checking out the link! I think this story is going to be the downfall of this regime because I don’t see how it can be ignored for much longer.

Eric Holder is a weasel. He and Obama are behind this whole disgusting plan to justify more gun control in the US. They both need to be indicted as accessories to murder(s). I’m really getting fed up with those that think they are above the law. The gears of justice move slowly, I guess.

Yes, it is moving slowly. Much more slowly than I would prefer but Issa has stated that he wants to make sure he leaves no stone unturned before he hands it over to a special prosecutor because the DOJ will be investigating itself and he wants to make sure that they cannot sweep this under the rug.

Guys, yes AG Holder does think we are that stupid, that is what is sad. I am sure he believes that we are too afraid NOT to believe what he says, that if we think otherwise he will just bring out the race card. This is really getting annoying that the MSM is just not into reporting on it. I watched an interview of Senator Grassley and, althought he is a pretty slow talker, he said they are NOT going to give up on this and I believe him. Yes, John, I do believe that him lying to Congress should be addressed as a crime. Stinkprogress, I believe you summed it up. Who doesn’t read their email and if you are way to busy (as AG Holder must surely be) don’t some of the underlings do it? Hard to accept that with something THIS important that AG Holder didn’t keep up on what was going on, including reporting to HIS boss.

In the end it will be Eric Holder who is proven to be the stupid one for thinking he could lie his way out of this once Brian Terry was murdered.
