Gunrunner: White House aide is unavailable for comment because he was reassigned to Iraq
At least three people who were directly involved in the deadly and criminal Operation Fast and Furious scandal received promotions from the Obama regime, most likely in return for their silence on this matter. But this story takes it to another level altogether and gives new meaning to John Kerry’s “botched joke” about getting stuck in Iraq.
Darrell Issa’s investigation into Fast and Furious is getting close to the White House and he requested to speak with former White House aide Kevin O’Reilly to ask about contact he had made with the ATF about the scandal. Darrell Issa was told that Mr. O’Reilly as unavailable because he was on assignment in Iraq.
PJ Media did a little investigative journalism and found out that Kevin O’Reilly wasn’t merely on assignment in Iraq, he has been reassigned to the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau for Iraq. He is now working in Iraq.
Through a tip, PJ Media learned that Kevin O’Reilly was unexpectedly named director of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau for Iraq (INL-Iraq). Long-time INL-Iraq employee Virginia Ramadan had been expected to get the position — many were quite surprised when she did not.
Kevin O’Reilly was the White House aide who was in contact with the man who was in charge of Operation Fast and Furious while the scandal was in operation, Bill Newell, and he was “unexpectedly” reassigned to a position in Iraq when everyone in the Obama regime thought the job was going to go to another more qualified person, and he is now no longer available for comment. Isn’t that just convenient, what an unbelievable coincidence! The coverup continues.

Very convenient indeed. Issa should get on a plane for Iraq tomorrow. I am really getting sick of this disgusting Chicago style politics that Obama has brought to Washington.

A little TOO convenient and I have to think that this man will have to be brought in to testify.

We only have 30 days for congress to get its act together and overturn Holder’s rule regarding the FIOA. If they don’t act, it will become law and he can deny that any paper trail exists. Write call your congressmen.

I didn’t know this, thanks for the information. This seems to be what Eric Holder is holding out for.

B, so what you are saying is if he stalls long enough he can just say he doesn’t have anything? How can they get away with that? We ALL have paper trails.

Check out the link CoF provided in my post on the weapons sold under Fast and Furious being weapons targeted by gun control advocates and not drug lords, it will explain it. It is unbelievable!

Sorry, I gave you some bad info there. The link is on my Gunrunner post about Hillary’s testimony.

What is to stop them from having him fly back? This I do not understand. If it was a private individual that was supposed to testify and they didn’t show up, would there not be a warrant out for them? Is there something protecting this man? Not sure I would expect Rep. Issa to go to him, but talk about stalling.

This is a stalling tactic, there is no way they can stop him from testifying and in today’s world they wouldn’t even have to bring him back here. They can use a web cam to allow him to testify while he is still over there. This is not going to work.

But Steve, it appears THEY think it might work. Hope you are right!

Bunker is absolutely correct Steve. They are trying to change the rules so they can hide information. I don’t know why Issa can’t subpena him and get him back here to appear before congress. Most transparent administration ever.

This man is going to have to testify before this rule change takes place and there is no reason with today’s technology that he would even have to return home to do it.

People have a way of “disappearing”! Might he be one of them? Would this info he could give take them down? How much is at stake if he does testify? I hope he has body guards and not ones from this administration, just saying.

Wouldn’t it be convenient if an IED just happened to take him out? This man knows something!

This guy wasn’t sent over there to do anything but get “eliminated’. High level politics involve some assassinations of character or otherwise. What about that Vince Foster guy under Clinton hmmmm?
Anybody that knows anything about FnF better watch their back, front, side and shadow lest they be rendered incapable of testifying when the time comes.

T, that does seem to happen, doesn’t it? The problem is, sometimes alot of other people go down with them, as in with Ron Brown on his flight. V. Foster was taken out “alone”, but that doesn’t always happen. Yes, this man needs to maybe “disappear” for his own safety, or go to someone that will get his info for Rep. Issa and then help him start over somewhere else. We do not know how “guilty” this guy is,however.
