Gunrunner: Did the Obama regime blackmail the Mexican government to remain silent on Fast and Furious?
Since the Fast and Furious scandal first burst onto the scene Mexico has denied any knowledge of the deadly scandal but one question remained unanswered; why has the Mexican government remained silent on an international scandal which led to the deaths of hundreds of her citizens, a scandal which could be considered an act of war?
The answer to that question might just be found in Katie Pavlich’s new book on Fast and Furious, from page 111:
“Just as the Fast and Furious scandal threatened to become a major international incident–and intensely embarrassing to the Obama administration, which had worked to form an alliance with Mexico’s government–the outcry suddenly softened.”
“On August 15th, 2011: William Burns America’s Deputy Secretary of State, travelled to Mexico to meet with Mexico’s Foreign Secretary, Patricia Espinoza. According to an inside source who spoke to me only on condition of anonymity, Burns gave the Mexican government an ultimatum: mute its criticism on Fast and Furious or give up a $500 million payment through the Merida Initiative, a State Department program providing funding to combat drug trafficking and related violence.”
“After that meeting, official outrage from the Mexican government seemed to abate.”
So now the Fast and Furious coverup has reached the level of international blackmail and it appears as if Mexico has sold the blood of its citizens to ensure the United States keeps sending that country money which, ironically, is supposed to help drug trafficking related violence. It is interesting to note here that just ending the Fast and Furious program has helped to curb that violence.
The one thing that I have learned from reading Katie Pavlich’s book is that this coverup might go deeper than I even imagined–from agents being banished to Iraq to avoid testifying, to avoiding taxes so as not to alert the IRS, to claims of intimidation through the fear of retribution within the ATF–I thought I had heard it all but with the revelation that the Obama regime may have blackmailed a sovereign nation in return for its silence takes the cake, it is apparent that there is nothing the Obama regime will not do in order to hide this scandal.

There is little incentive for Mexico to throw the U.S. under the bus. I’m not as upset that maybe this is true as much that nobody seems to be looking into it… so we’ll never know.
As we’ve said here, were a Conservative in charge… we’d be hearing about it.
You are doing good work here on this topic which can’t be easy considering finding solid facts about it must be tough.

Thanks Harrison. There is no doubt that the news coverage would be a little bit different if this was Bush and people would have already lost their jobs because of pressure in the MSM. I wonder if Issa is looking at this angle, he must be but it seems as if the investigation is slowing down.

This just gets dirtier all the time Steve. I sometimes wonder if anything will ever come out of this. If Holder had an ounce of integrity he would have resigned by now…but he doesn’t.

I am beginning to wonder if we will ever see justice here although I am still holding out hope. But something needs to be done before the election just in case the Dems win the House back.

I keep thinkig of Issa saying this was bigger than Iran-Contra. How much more is there to this debacle?

Iran-Contra was mentioned in the book as well, and Pavlich says this is a bigger scandal than that, so maybe Issa really has to take his time to get everything in order before he moves forward.

Of course there is more to the story and the media will do their best to keep it hidden. Blackmail? Possibly! Or maybe just more payoff. It doesn’t seem like Calderon is that protective of his citizens, look at the state of his country as a whole. Money talks very loudly when you can funnel it into offshore accounts for later, doesn’t it? How much does Issa/Grassley have to focus on here and which area do they pay the most attention to? I think it must be overwhelming to that bunch to even know what may be the most important aspect of all of this. If more writers come out with books, that at least exposes it to the public, IF they will buy them and read them. I personally think that the surface has just been scratched. If AG Holder is brought in to answer more questions, we can only expect more of the same dodging as he is so good at, we will not get any honest answers from him. It seems that witnesses are in short supply for this stunt they pulled. Where exactly are they and WHY are they not able to testify? Could we do that if we were summoned to testify? Apparently the DoJ has the last say in the matter on this. Makes you wonder what we, as a nation, are up against, doesn’t it???

No Calderon doesn’t care about his people but he does want that money to continue to flow into his coffers.
I think there are many aspects to this story and that is possibly why it is taking Issa so long to appoint a special prosecutor and of course Holder’s stonewalling isn’t helping. This story is huge and I can only hope that we someday see justice.

Where’s the outrage against this Administration? Still waiting.
IMPEACH NOW!

Thanks for the reblog, we need to keep this story alive because the MSM is ignoring it. There is no outrage because I am willing to bet that most Americans have never even heard of this scandal and that isbecause of the MSM’s refusal to cover any issue which puts Obama in a bad light.

Well said, to both AW & lou222. Also look at the facts coming out about Obuma’s releasing, what he knew perfectly well to be, a forged Birth Certificate & the fact that his Lieyer is saying that it is inadmissable in court due to the fact that it IS so CLEARLY a forgery. Obuma never should have even been able to run, let alone be elected, for the position of the POTUS. So all of the glaringly unconstitutional assaults on both the Constitution itself AND the Bill of Rights are being performed by a criminal. Remind me why he’s not in jail because I can’t figure that one out for anything. Again, Thank You, for ALL that you do.

Isn’t it interesting that the Obama regime is saying his forged BC isn’t admissable in court because it is a forgery? They are willing to admit the BC is a forgery in order to slow down the investigation and nobody in the media thinks this is a story.
