John Boehner’s Tea Party opponent releases a campaign ad accusing Boehner of having “electile dysfunction”
John Boehner is facing a Tea Party primary opponent named J.D. Winteregg who recently released a new campaign ad. Here is part of what he says in the ad:
“Other signs of Electile Dysfunction may include extreme skin discoloration, the inability to punch oneself out of a wet paper bag, or maintain a spin in the face of liberal opposition,” the narrator says. “If you have a Boehner lasting longer than 23 years, seek immediate medical attention.”
I have to admit that I did get a chuckle out of this but seriously does he think this is a winning strategy in an election as important as the one we are facing in November? Does he really think releasing something like this is going to help him gain the support in a general election, or even in the primary for that matter? Does he not take this election seriously?
What the Tea Party needs to understand is this; it is not good enough just to endorse anybody against the establishment, they must pick the right candidate and their nomination of Christine O’Donnell in the Delaware race in 2010 should have taught them a lesson, but apparently it did not.

I agree with you, Steve. Sadly, for the Tea Parties, it’s very hard find a good conservatives who are willing to enter the fray. There aren’t many like Ted Cruz.

Yeah, that is definitely part of the problem.

The Taxed Enough Already Party might consider running Dick Hurtz against Boner.

One issue is that too many tea party types run in the primaries and there is not enough time and money to sort out the better one IMO. In my area, there are 9 candidates in the GOP tea party type slots.

That is a great point, in many cases they cancel themselves out and we don’t get the best candidate.

Here on the left coast, the dems are actually funding tea party candidates just to siphon votes.

I am not surprised in the least! It is time we start playing that same game.
