Hillary Clinton has already locked up half of the superdelegates in Nevada and South Carolina

February 15, 2016

bernies-sanders-nuts  Rightfully sensing a Democratic establishment conspiracy to rob Bernie Sanders of the possibility of winning the Democratic nomination some of his supporters are in an uproar after the former Secretary of State managed to win half of New Hampshire’s delegates despite her resounding defeat in the Granite State.

They are trying to convince the establishment to allow the votes to be counted in the states before the superdelegates are awarded, it seems like a reasonable request to me but apparently the Democratic party is not listening. If Bernie Sanders’ supporters are already upset at the shenanigans to this point they are going to be livid when they find out that Hillary Clinton has already locked up half of the superdelegates in the next two primary states–Nevada and South Carolina.

  Here is more:

Hillary Clinton has already locked up half the Democratic superdelegates in Nevada and South Carolina before the first votes are cast in either state.

The former secretary of State has won public support from half of South Carolina’s six superdelegates and three of Nevada’s eight superdelegates. Bernie Sanders has secured only one, a Democratic national committeewoman from Nevada.

The role of superdelegates in the Democratic primary process is coming under new scrutiny after the early voting contests of Iowa and New Hampshire.

The superdelegates are made up of Democratic lawmakers and party leaders who can cast a vote for the party’s nominee during the Democratic National Convention. They have the freedom to back whoever they want, and are not bound by the results in their states.

While Sanders leads Clinton in pledged delegates, Clinton has an overwhelming lead among the superdelegates; more than 360 party leaders have backed her so far, while less than a dozen have backed Sanders.

The disparity has angered Sanders supporters. Some have launched petitions calling for the superdelegates to support the candidate chosen by Democratic voters

Yeah, good luck with the petitions…

If Hillary Clinton goes on to win the nomination, and I believe it is likely she will, and Bernie Sanders’ supporters feel their candidate was screwed out of the nomination by the party elites I believe there is the very real possibility they will sit this election out rather than vote for the person whom they feel screwed them and this could set up an interesting scenario in the general election.

What’s up with Bernard and his suckupophants? All his potential teeny bopper voters should be happy they are getting a taste of what their new social-democracy (there’s a laugh) has in store for them. Should Bernard or lard ass win there may be no need in future elections to trek all the way to the polls on a cold and blustery November day with only one unopposed candidate to vote for. That and the free college education; life will be all they hoped for. They should only hope they can leave the country or die of old age before they suffer the inevitable logical conclusion of socialism, genocide.

It is hard not to laugh at them getting a taste of what they want! 🙂

I think you are right Lou, they don’t even see the irony in all of this.

The Democrat’s Superdelegates really tell me all I need to know about the party. Before a single vote is cast a candidate with good connections can be chosen and the People be damned.

Somehow, it reminds me of Stalinist Russia where the powers that be ruled and the votes were just to make it look good. Imagine any member of the Politburo daring to actually cast a vote against Stalin.

Welcome to the very misnamed Democrat part of the 21st Century.

Could someone actually give me a rational explanation as to just why Liberals are content to have someone make their decisions for them? Why isn’t the entire Superdelegate illegal?

Totally outside of the obvious, such as Democrats are mentally defective, why do they accept such a blatant usurpation of power?

I have to agree with you, at this point it looks like the Democratic primary is just for show.

Dr. J., maybe they process information differently than a Conservative does? I just do not have an answer as to WHY they would want their decision made for them ahead of time, either.

I’ve come to believe that they just don’t trust democracy, they really do want a dictatorship.

My Hollywood Cousin is already on record as saying that what we really need is a Great Leader. He cited Roosevelt and Churchill as prime examples. I responded with Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Pol Pot and Mao Tse Tung.

That is as good an answer as any! Plus they have had the mindset that there are people who know what is best for everyone else and they have come to expect somebody to take care of them so perhaps this is just an extension of that mindset.

Meanwhile, the GOP continues to implode. The last debate was a bloodbath. Now Trump is making noises to run as a third party candidate. Supreme court up in the air. What else could go wrong.

It is a disaster at this point in time! I did not watch the last debate but I heard it was a bloodbath, this is getting ugly and I have to believe Trump is doing exactly what he set out to do in the first place…

I don’t think I want to know. There are way to many ugly possibilities and most of them involve violence by either the government, the People or both.

Bunker, remember we are NOT supposed to ask what else could go wrong. We just keep getting handed more and more to deal with. I am not sure how much more some people can take before it does start getting ugly. This whole election is having bad effects on so many and we are just getting started. I just do not know what to think anymore. We have people being flown in from foreign countries, coming across the north and south borders, floating in and WE are supposed to have the money to support all their welfare….I have to ask you WITH WHAT are we going to pay for all of this? We are getting hit from all sides… this the plan? What BASTIDS they all are!

At least we have designed a crapper for them since apparently they (the refugees) don’t even know how to use one as known to civilized humans…. as I posted about previously. Small steps, long road.
