Donald Trump officially wins the Electoral College vote
I think one of the most over-hyped stories over the last couple of weeks was the attempt at stopping Donald Trump through the use of the Electoral College faithless electors. It was never going to happen and I think with the exception of some of the people in the alt-left everyone knew this was a foregone conclusion.
Today Donald Trump officially became the President-elect when he surpassed 270 votes in the Electoral College. Ironically there were a few faithless electors but most of them turned against Hillary Clinton. Here is more:

Ahead of the Electoral College vote, the focus was on whether any voters would defect from casting ballots for Republican Donald Trump.
That didn’t happen. But two Republican electors in Texas chose alternatives to Trump. One, who had said weeks earlier he would switch is vote, chose Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich. The other chose former Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul.
n Washington, three rogue electors voted for former Secretary of State Colin Powell, while one voted for Faith Spotted Eagle, a Sioux Tribe elder who led protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota this year.
One Maine elector expressed interest in going rogue by voting for Bernie Sanders instead, but was told he could not and voted for Clinton.
In my opinion the left, with the exception of the alt-left, knew this was going to be the result however they used the alt-left to achieve their real goal which was the delegitimization of Donald Trump’s Presidency before it has even begun.
The left is basically using the strategy it used against George W Bush back in 2000 and they have set up their battle cry for the next four years. Be prepared to hear the claims that Donald Trump was selected and not elected and expect to see the let’s not elect Trump again bumper stickers in 2020. It did not work so well for the left in 2004 and I do not think it will work this time around. The ironic part of this in my mind is that if the left does not come up with another strategy the people will stop listening to them thereby delegitimizing themselves in the eyes of the people.

That’s right about the TV shows, remember when Romney was running HBO started a show about Mormons? It is all designed to get people to believe what they want them to. If it is not Chelsea it will be either Michelle O or Lizzy Warren.

The whole reason Trump won is that the American Left lost their legitimacy a long time ago. Only inertia and the efforts of the truly indoctrinated have propped them up.
We have won the victory we should have had 4 years ago and with a much more radical candidate.
Now I’m only hoping that Trump is as good as many hope he is.

That is a good point Dr. Jeff, the left has already lost its legitimacy and they are handling it by getting even worse. If they do not face up to reality they are not going to survive. I am holding out hope that Trump will be an okay President.

The Americans who want a smaller government at the federal, state and local level need to speak up using social media. Term limits and voter id laws need to be adopted. Plans need to start now for 2018 mid term elections. The role of msm needs to continue to decline.
Over the first 100 days Trump’s feet need to be held to the fire. The same social media that put into office needs to be used to keep in check.
