San Jose Mayor apologizes for breaking California COVID-19 lockdown orders over Thanksgiving

December 2, 2020

Our Statist politicians all across the nation are no longer even trying to hide the fact they believe the rules they implement on the plebeians do not also apply to them. I will not go into the ever-growing list of examples yet again but I bring you the latest one which is from–where else?–California.

San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo has had to apologize for having Thanksgiving with his family in violation of California’s COVID-19 draconian lockdown order, here is more:

San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo on Tuesday was forced to publicly apologize after getting caught gathering with his family for Thanksgiving in defiance of California’s Covid order.

In October California Governor Gavin Newsom unveiled authoritarian Thanksgiving Covid rules which prohibited more than 3 households from gathering.

According to the rules not only are you only allowed to have family members from three households present in the privacy of your own home but you are expected to collect all their names and contact information in case the State wants to come after them. But San Jose’s Governor did not feel the need to comply with the rules because he attended a family event where five households were present.

I know how insane it sounds that we are bickering over how many people you can have in your house at any one time is, especially over the holidays, or how many households can come to your house at once but such is life in our post-American utopia. And on top of it all our elected officials hold themselves above the law as we have seen time and time again, when are people going to stand up?!

Let’s be very clear about this. This ass-hat, our Gov Gruesome and all other politicians who have been caught really are truly sorry. They are truly sorry they got jammed up on this, and are truly sorry they have to do the same crap us peons have to do.

Add one more to the list, Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl. She was the tie breaking vote to shut down restaurants, indoors or out, then went out to dinner with her friends at a restaurant.

This is no longer about COVID, it’s about power. If dining out were all that dangerous, why did she go out?

Even if you’re worried, it’s not that hard to be safe from the virus. Some water (not alcohol) based sanitizer, a decent mask that actually seals around your nose and mouth and you’re pretty safe.

I make my own masks with a bandana, red shop rag, foam rubber and some elastic. The primary filtration is from the coarse woven shop rag next to your skin, the secondary from the close woven bandana on the outside. Foam rubber under the cloth seals it around the sides of your nose and cheeks, where there’s usually a leak and the elastic keeps everything in place. It has a very large filtration area so breathing is easy.

There’s a class of commercial disinfectants called quaternary disinfectants. They’re water based so you still have some protection after it’s dried. The stuff is commonly used in restaurants and food processing. Out here, most grocery chains carry it under assorted name brands and it runs about $10 to $15 for a gallon of concentrate. I usually shop at Smart and Final where it’s sold under the name Sanicide-94.

I mix it at 2 to 4 ozs per gallon of water (around 4 to 8 times stronger than the instructions) and add a drop of all purpose cleaner to make sure it wets all surfaces. If anyone still remembers Bactine, it’s the active ingredient. Very safe for people and pets.

I treat my mask with it for added protection and it makes the mask smell better too. When I’m out and about, I spray it on my hands when I touch a door, etc.

You nailed it, this is all about power and seeing how far they can push us before we fight back and they have to be thrilled with the results so far.
      Interesting information, thank you.

These apologies, and belated ones at that, are worthless. I have never supported the use of violence, anger or force but it seems to have worked well for the anarchists and BLM. If that is not what the general law abiding population is being pushed to, it appears the coming of a civil war — or mass slavery. Take your pick, but we better get more vocal NOW.

You have to give the left credit because they actually get out there and fight for what they want while the right talks a good game but does not act.

You are absolutely correct. The decency and lawfulness of the Right is looking a lot like apathy…
