Donald Trump pulls ahead of Hillary Clinton in the latest CNN poll
A new CNN poll is out and it has Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton by 2 points. Here is more:
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton start the race to November 8 on essentially even ground, with Trump edging Clinton by a scant two points among likely voters, and the contest sparking sharp divisions along demographic lines in a new CNN/ORC Poll.
Trump tops Clinton 45% to 43% in the new survey, with Libertarian Gary Johnson standing at 7% among likely voters in this poll and the Green Party’s Jill Stein at just 2%.
Most recently, Clinton’s convention propelled her to an 8-point lead among registered voters in an early-August CNN/ORC Poll. Clinton’s lead has largely evaporated despite a challenging month for Trump, which saw an overhaul of his campaign staff, announcements of support for Clinton from several high-profile Republicans and criticism of his campaign strategy.
Trump has his largest edge of the campaign as the more honest and trustworthy of the two major candidates (50% say he is more honest and trustworthy vs. just 35% choosing Clinton)
New emails show Hillary Clinton may have colluded with Robert Menendez during the Benghazi hearing
The House Oversight Committee is asking the Injustice Department to start an investigation into whether or nor Hillary Clinton obstructed justice when she deleted emails from her personal server. I would also suggest the agency look into the destruction of government property because the FBI’s investigation found Hillary Clinton’s staff members beat her old cellphones with a hammer to keep what was contained therein from being made available.
If you are a quarterback for a certain professional football team and you destroy your cellphone during an investigation it makes the news cycle 24 hours a day, yet the mainstream media does not think Hillary Clinton doing the same is newsworthy at all, but I digress…
Anyway, back on point: House Republicans are also promising another round of investigations and if they do start another investigation they need to ask Mrs. Clinton (is it sexist to call her Mrs. Clinton?) if it is true her staff was colluding with the first Benghazi investigation by feeding a Democratic member of the committee questions? CNN apologizes for censoring pro-Trump shirt during an interview with a baby saving hero
This story is a few days old so I apologize for not getting to it in a more timely manner but earlier this week CNN held an interview with an ex-police officer who is being touted as a hero for rescuing a baby girl from a locked, sweltering car with a sledge hammer.
During the interview CNN blurred out the shirt Steve Eckel was wearing because it was either offensive, had obscenities, or perhaps had a logo or other advertisement on it. Or so we thought…
It turns out that Steve Eckel was simply wearing a pro Donald Trump shirt so I guess you could say CNN was probably offended by it and found it obscene. However once it became known what the shirt actually said the American people were outraged at CNN’s decision to censor the shirt.
Holiday weekend document dump: FBI releases Hillary Clinton investigation transcripts
The FBI has released a summary of the agency’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. The Clinton camp is claiming it is happy the FBI decided to release this information because it explains why the agency did not recommend charges be brought against the former Secretary of State for knowingly mishandling classified information. However if this was true the FBI would not have done the classic holiday long weekend Friday document dump when nobody was paying attention, if this truly exonerated Hillary Clinton it would have been done when people were paying attention and the Democrats would be using it .
Some of the stories coming out of this are quite troubling to say the least so let us go through the ones I find most troubling one at a time.

According to this story Bill Clinton used taxpayer money to subsidize the Clinton Foundation as well as buying equipment for Hillary Clinton’s personal email server and paying somebody to it set up. Here is more:
Bill Clinton’s staff used a decades-old federal government program, originally created to keep former presidents out of the poorhouse, to subsidize his family’s foundation and an associated business, and to support his wife’s private email server, a POLITICO investigation has found.
Taxpayer cash was used to buy IT equipment — including servers — housed at the Clinton Foundation, and also to supplement the pay and benefits of several aides now at the center of the email and cash-for-access scandals dogging Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
There is apparently nothing illegal about this because:

According to this story newly released emails show that Hillary Clinton sent classified emails on her personal server AFTER she left the State Department. Here is more:
Hillary Clinton continued sending classified information even after leaving the State Department, The Post has exclusively learned.
On May 28, 2013, months after stepping down as secretary of state, Clinton sent an email to a group of diplomats and top aides about the “123 Deal” with the United Arab Emirates.
But the email, which was obtained by the Republican National Committee through a Freedom of Information Act request, was heavily redacted upon its release by the State Department because it contains classified information.
The markings on the email state it will be declassified on May 28, 2033, and that information in the note is being redacted because it contains “information regarding foreign governors” and because it contains “Foreign relations or foreign activities of the United States, including confidential sources.”
The email from Clinton was sent from the email account — hrod17@clintonemail.com — associated with her private email server.
The email’s recipients were Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, diplomat Jeffrey Feltman, policy aide Jake Sullivan, diplomat Kurt Campbell, State Department chief of staff Cheryl Mills, and Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
John Kerry says the media shouldn’t cover terrorist attacks so people won’t ‘know what’s going on’
Secretary of State John Kerry spoke in Bangladesh yesterday and he said that a good way to combat terrorism would be for the media not to cover terrorist attacks so that “people wouldn’t know what’s going on.”
I am not making this up, here is more:
During his first official visit to Bangladesh, Secretary of State John Kerry held a press conference and addressed the threat of terrorism.
Kerry offered a novel way to combat terrorism, suggesting that the media would “do us all a service” if they didn’t cover it “quite as much.”
“No country is immune from terrorism,” Kerry said at a press availability in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Monday. “It’s easy to terrorize. Government and law enforcement have to be correct 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. But if you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist and you’re willing to kill yourself, you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise. Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much. People wouldn’t know what’s going on.”
Hillary Clinton’s health has become an issue this election cycle and I believe this is a legitimate topic of discussion. Donald Trump has been questioning the former Secretary of State’s health and stamina for a couple of weeks now and yesterday he challenged her to release her health records. Here is more:

This week Presidential politics hit an all-time low when Hillary Clinton played the “Klan Card” against Donald Trump and his supporters. First she released an ad which equated Donald Trump to the Ku Klux Klan and she followed it up by giving a blistering, vile, and disgusting speech where she suggested if you do not vote for her you are part of the so-called alt-right and must be a racist.
