Donald Trump now has a path to 270 Electoral College votes
For weeks we have been told that despite the national polls being relatively close Donald Trump had a very narrow path to the needed 270 electoral college votes, however recent swing state polls have shown the billionaire businessman taking the lead in several of these key states.
Politico is now claiming that because of this sudden surge by Donald Trump he has a clear path to the 270 electoral college votes if these polls hold up, here is more:
But state polling averages, which can be lagging indicators, are beginning to show Trump in the lead. According to POLITICO’s Battleground States polling average, Trump is now ahead in Iowa and Ohio — and he’s tied with Clinton in vote-rich Florida.
A slightly more aggressive estimate could add Nevada, North Carolina and one electoral vote in Maine to Trump’s tally: The New York real-estate magnate is ahead in the most recent polls in Nevada and North Carolina, and in Maine’s Second Congressional District.
That, plus all the other states Mitt Romney won four years ago, would get Trump to 266 electoral votes — just four shy of the 270 needed to win.
If all of this happens Donald Trump would only need to win one more state to become the next President of the United States:
The reports of Donald Trump’s political demise may have been greatly exaggerated. Donald Trump’s campaign has been declared dead several times by the mainstream media, most recently after the billionaire businessman’s attack on a Gold Star family in the wake of the Democratic National Convention. However he always seems to rebound and it looks as if he is rebounding in a big way right now.
It is hard to gauge the polls because depending on which national poll you look at either Donald Trump is leading by 5 points or Hillary Clinton is leading by 5 points. National polls are meaningless compared to the individual state polls and the latest round of swing state polls show Donald Trump surging into the lead.

CBS edits interview with Bill Clinton about Hillary Clinton’s health
CBS ran an interview with Bill Clinton about Hillary Clinton’s health and in the video which was aired Bill Clinton said “rarely, on more than one occasion, over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing’s happened to her when she got severely dehydrated.”
However when CBS posted the interview on it website the quote was just a little bit different, here is what Bill Clinton actually said during the interview: “because frequently, not frequently, rarely, but on more than one occasion, over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing has happened to her where she got severely dehydrated.” You can watch the unedited version of the video here.
There is an old saying about a gaffe being when a politician slips up and accidentally tells the truth and that seems to be what happened here, luckily for the Clinton’s CBS was there for them to cover up this gaffe. CBS will likely claim Bill Clinton misspoke and due to the constraint of time the network decided to edit out what it felt was a simple mistake on the part of an aging ex-President.
How many people do you know that would confuse the words frequently and rarely. I find it hard to believe anyone would, I think it is more likely Bill Clinton accidentally told the network the truth and it did not fit the agenda so they decided to keep it from the American people. The person who posted the unedited video will probably be looking for a job soon…

Worried Democrats plot Hillary Clinton’s replacement if her health continues to be an issue
Up until now rumors about Hillary Clinton’s ill-health have been relegated to the conservative websites and blogs, written off as yet another right-wing (or should I say alt-right) conspiracy theory. However that changed yesterday when the former Secretary of State was forced to leave the September 11th event in New York. First we were told it was the heat but then when the Clinton camp realized it was not even 80 degrees outside the story changed to pneumonia. Just two questions: if Hillary Clinton had pneumonia would she have retired from the event to Chelsea Clinton’s place where her grandchild was? Or would she have been seen in a photo-op with a child on the street?
Yesterday brought the so-called conspiracy theory to the mainstream and now we are hearing reports that people within the Democratic establishment are worried about Hillary Clinton’s health and are preparing for a Plan B candidate in the event the former Secretary of State can not continue her campaign.
Hillary Clinton calls Donald Trump supporters a “bucket of deplorables” and “irredeemable”
With Hillary Clinton’s latest medical issue coming earlier today this post is slightly dated, however I was away yesterday and did not get to it and I feel as if it should be written about. Last night at a campaign event Hillary Clinton called many of Donald Trump’s supporters a “bucket of deplorables” and said they are “irredeemable.”
Here is more on Hillary Clinton’s deplorable comment:
You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right,” Clinton said, drawing laughter and applause as she addressed about 1,000 donors at an LGBT for Hillary fundraising gala in New York City, “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it.” Adding that Trump had “given voice” to many of those elements through his campaign rhetoric and retweets, she continued that, “some of those folks—they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.”
First of all who is she to say anyone cannot be redeemed? Redemption does not come from Hillary Clinton, the Democratic party, or from any other politician for that matter…
Saturday, September 10th open thread: ‘Thank You’
What you say? Why is this week’s open thread coming on Saturday instead of Sunday? As you have probably figured out by now I am dispensing with the normal formalities of the open thread because last night was my 27th wedding anniversary.
As is our custom we are headed to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and the Gaslight, for our anniversary getaway. To say that this year has added meaning to me would be an understatement.
Regular readers of America’s Watchtower may recall what I was going through one year ago. It was the darkest period of my life and I was facing a personal crisis which eventually led me back to Jesus Christ.
Since I met Lauri way back when she has been my best friend and my soulmate. She has always been my rock but never so much as she was last year when I needed her the most. She was so strong when I was weak.
This year paints such a different picture, I am in a much better place and I am happier than I have ever been. I am at peace and I am so grateful to God for this second chance, but it all started with Lauri. I have to admit that when we go to the Gaslight tonight I am probably going to be filled with emotion, as I was last year, but for a much different reason…
When I was a teenager I was a huge Led Zeppelin fan and I remember writing the words to the song I am about to share with you in a card for Lauri. I also remember requesting this song at a high school dance back in the day.
I think these lyrics are more relevant to me today than they were back then and I thank you Lauri for helping me to get back on the right path. I can never fully express in words how much you mean to me, I would not be who I am today without you. I love you more than words can say and this song is for you my love.

Then vs now: Bill Clinton on ‘make America great again’
Earlier this weak Bill Clinton implied that Donald Trump’s “make America great again” slogan was racist when he said “if you are a white southerner you know exactly what it means.” Of course Bill Clinton is a white southerner so we can only assume when he used the same slogan several times in the past that he understood he was making racist comments.
Here is a video comparing Bill Clinton’s statement earlier this week to comments he made while running for President:
If “make America great again” is a racist slogan than clearly Bill Clinton is a racist, and we got a hint of that when Barack Obama was running for office in 2008 when he made another racially-tinged comment. Of course while she was First Lady the former Secretary of State went full-racist when she called black youths “super predators” and said we had to “bring them to heal.”
Oh yeah, and then there is the racist skit Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio performed earlier this year…
But maybe blaming Bill Clinton for his wife’s racism is taking too much of the accountability from the former Secretary of State because she chose to marry an apparent racist and she also chose to call a former Ku Klux Klan Grand Cyclops, Robert Byrd, her friend and mentor…

Hillary Clinton makes a subtle change to her email defense
Ever since Hillary Clinton’s email scandal first came to light the former Secretary of State has defended herself by saying she never sent or received information which was classified at the time of transmission. (Ignoring the fact that some information is born classified even if it is not marked as such.)
However the FBI investigation revealed this was an untruth because when the FBI released its transcripts of the investigation over the long holiday weekend we learned that several paragraphs in several emails were marked with a “C” for classified. Hillary Clinton laughingly told the FBI she thought this was just a paragraph marking even though no other paragraphs were marked with an “A” or a “B” or a “D.” That was really a silly excuse, however if we take her at her word it still shows she was in way over her head as Secretary of State.
During last night’s forum Hillary Clinton made a subtle change to her claim she never sent or received email that was marked classified, did anyone notice this? Here is what she said:

Newly released emails suggest a senior Hillary Clinton aide stage-managed her first hearing on the Benghazi terrorist attack by feeding specific topics Clinton wanted to address to Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez, who at the time was acting chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.
“We wired it that Menendez would provide an opportunity to address two topics we needed to debunk (her actions/whereabouts on 9/11, and these email from Chris Stevens about moving locations,)” Clinton media gatekeeper Philippe Reines wrote to Chelsea Clinton the morning of the Jan. 23, 2013 hearing.
It should be noted at this point that Hillary Clinton’s aide emailed this to Chelsea Clinton, who was using the alias Dianne Reynolds for privacy reasons. Why would this email have gone through a woman who has never held political office, and who was using an alias for privacy, rather than his boss other than to muddy the waters and make the truth harder to obtain? I guess it is the same reason Hillary Clinton emailed her daughter the truth about Benghazi being a terrorist attack before she blamed a YouTube video…
