Durham dropping Spygate investigation
We knew the fix was in when the results of the Department of Justice’s investigation into the outgoing Obama administration’s spying on the incoming Trump administration were delayed over and over again for months despite reports that it was almost complete.
Then we learned that the report was finished shortly before the election, and William Barr admitted there was illegal spying on the Trump administration, but the results of the report would not be made public until after the election. We knew at that point any hope we had of someday learning the truth were dashed.
Now, if this report is true, it is all but a formality because John Durham is dropping his Spygate investigation. Here is more:
The Federalist’s Sean Davis reports that the investigation into a treacherous spying operation on Donald Trump’s campaign and presidency is being dropped.
A source familiar with Durham’s ongoing investigation of the bogus Russian collusion operation tells @FDRLST: “Durham isn’t doing anything. Dropping his investigations. He’s worried about blowback from Biden. What an absolute disgrace.”
After two years, and upon completion of the report, the investigation is going to be dropped and the results of the illegal spying will never be known. This was all a show from the beginning, designed to appease Trump supporters while accomplishing nothing, and we have seen this act before. It should come as no surprise to anybody who has been paying attention to the way the establishment protects itself against the plebeians time and time again.

If you were one of the people who thought the COVID-19 lockdowns were going to go away once Donald Trump was out of office because you thought they were just being done to hurt the President’s reelection bid you were sadly mistaken. This is much bigger than that and now that the people (especially the III-ers who swore never to let this happen) have failed the first test the State has seen it can push the people into submission to even greater lengths than they dreamed of.
Now that the State has usurped this power, now that the State has seen it can take the freedom to gather, to protest, to worship, in other words to lead active lives, away from the people under the guise of safety, they are never going to willingly give it back and now we are preparing for round two.
Joe Biden is in the process of setting up a COVID-19 advisory board and one of the members on that board is in favor of shutting down basically all recreational activities, here is more:
During an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “WSJ at Large,” Biden COVID-19 Advisory Board member Dr. Celine Gounder stated that “places that we know are big contributors to transmission are indoor restaurants, bars, gyms, and also private social gatherings of friends and family in the home” “are really the places we need to target for closures”
Gounder said that the advisory board’s “consensus” is that “the draconian lockdowns, shutdowns that we had in the spring,” are unneeded, and that increased knowledge means we can “be much more targeted about how we tighten up some of our measures. I think of it like a dimmer switch, whereas before we had an on and off light switch. So, we can dial up and dial down in a much more granular fashion. So, some of the places that we know are big contributors to transmission are indoor restaurants, bars, gyms, and also private social gatherings of friends and family in the home. So, those are really the places we need to target for closures while keeping other services, for example, schools that are — have not been major contributors to transmission, they’re not zero-risk, but they are much lower risk, and they’re an essential service. And so, we’re really prioritizing keeping schools, for example, open.”
The good news is they would like to keep the indoctrination centers schools open and apparently unlike in the Spring they would be kind enough to let Americans work so they can feed their families.
Of course what this does is it makes the American people serfs. In reality the State only cares about making sure we earn money so they can still pay taxes, when it comes to free time we will be free only to hang out in our homes and watch the television or play on the computer. Does that sound like freedom to you?

Nancy Pelosi hosts large dinner for incoming House Democrats as Americans are being told to cancel Thanksgiving
Over the last few days prominent Democratic members of the Government, State officials, health officials, and the mainstream media have started “urging” Americans to basically cancel their Thanksgiving plans. So you can imagine my surprise when I learned that Nancy Pelosi was hosting a dinner for incoming House Democrats tonight.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is hosting a large dinner at the Capitol Building for new members Friday night, a move seen as hypocritical as Americans are being warned by government officials (and House Democrats!) to stay home and not hold family gatherings over the holidays because of concerns about spreading the COVID-19 China coronavirus.
To be fair it should be mentioned the Republicans are also hosting their own dinner, however the Republicans have not been promoting the house arrest orders the Democrats have been in favor of for several months now.
But we have seen several examples of Democratic hypocrisy over the months with their own set of rules for the aristocracy. I have documented some examples of Democrats who are pushing house arrest orders not adhering to their own anti-social conditioning rules here. These examples range from not wearing a mask in public, to trying to cut in line to get a boat in the water, to covertly buying jewelry.
And of course this is not Nancy Pelosi’s first violation, I am sure you all remember when she decided to get her hair done not all that long ago during San Francisco’s lockdown so it is not surprising she would be once again flouting the rules she expects the plebeians to follow…

Ilhan Omar has funneled millions in campaign funds to her husband’s firm
Back in February of this year we learned that there was a campaign finance violation complaint issued against Ilhan Omar for funneling $500,000 in campaign money to fund her extramarital affair. Here is a little refresher on that story:
A complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Wednesday alleges freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) illegally used campaign money to help carry on an extramarital affair with a Democrat consultant whose firm she paid tens of thousands of dollars.
The Washington Free Beacon reported Saturday that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN)’s congressional campaign paid over $500,000 in 2019 to a firm run by her alleged boyfriend, political consultant Timothy Mynett.
The Free Beacon, citing FEC campaign filings, noted that Omar’s campaign apparently paid the E Street Group $215,000 in the fourth quarter of 2019, bringing the total paid to the firm to $525,000 last year.
Fast forward a few months and a couple of things have changed with this story. The first change is that she has married Timothy Mynett so she is no longer funneling money to her boyfriend. The second change, however, is that she funneled nearly $3 million in campaign money to her husband’s firm this time around. Yes, this is the same firm he worked at while he was her boyfriend, here is more:
Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., has paid nearly $2.8 million to her husband’s political consulting firm so far in the 2019-2020 election cycle, including nearly 70% of her third-quarter disbursements.
Federal Election Commission data shows that Omar’s campaign sent $1.6 million to E Street Group LLC, which is owned by her husband Tim Mynett, from the start of 2019 through Jul. 22, 2020. After that, she reported an additional $1.1 million in the third quarter and $27,000 in the following weeks. That $1.1 million constituted nearly 70% of the $1.6 million that Omar’s campaign spent that quarter.
I guess when it comes to her corruption some things do change, but mostly the stay the same…

Biden transition team in contact with foreign leaders
A former member of Barack Obama’s national security team, Ben Rhodes, came out yesterday and admitted that Joe Biden’s transition team is already in contact with foreign leaders. Here is more:
“The Trump people seem to be talking like they have some agency here. We’re going to have the pageantry already of the president-elect announcing his advisory board. He’s going to start announcing cabinet secretaries. The center of political gravity in this country and the world is shifting to Joe Biden. Foreign leaders are already having phone calls with Joe Biden, talking about the agenda they’re going to pursue January 20th,” said Rhodes.
It seems quite normal that while preparing for a new administration to come in that foreign leaders would call to congratulate the President-elect or maybe talk a little policy with some of his advisers so that they would have a little understanding about what to expect with new leadership, but of course this is what led to the whole Russian investigation into the Trump transition team in the first place.
The left accused Michael Flynn of violating the LOGAN Act for doing precisely the same thing with Russia. And it should also be remembered that it was none other than Joe Biden who suggested Michael Flynn should be investigated for LOGAN Act violations…

AOC claims Democrats’ ‘incompetency’ led to down-ticket loses
Despite winning the Presidency the 2020 election did not provide the Democrats with the blue wave in the House and Senate that they had hoped for and now there is going to be a battle for the heart and soul of the party between the more moderate Democrats and the alt-left Democrats.
Despite Nancy Pelosi still being the Speaker of the House–at least for now–I do not think I am going out on a limb to state Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has become the voice of the party and she is not happy. She is upset that the Democrats did not run farther to the left and claimed that embracing the defund the police movement and the green new deal did not cost the Democrats in the election. Actually she does not believe they embraced those positions with enough vigor.
In fact she believes it was incompetency which led to the lackluster results in the down-ticket races and is warning Joe Biden that he had better embrace the alt-left agenda or they could lose the midterm elections. Here is more:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called the Democrat Party “incompetent” for not placing progressives in top positions, warning former Vice President Joe Biden that if he does not select far-left people for top positions, the Democrats will lose big in the 2022 midterm elections.
Ocasio-Cortez told the New York Times that she sharply rejected the notion that progressive messaging around the Green New Deal and the Black Lives Matter movement led to the loss of congressional seats this election cycle.
“There’s a reason Barack Obama built an entire national campaign apparatus outside of the Democratic National Committee,” she told the Times. “And there’s a reason that, when he didn’t activate or continue that, we lost House majorities. Because the party — in and of itself — does not have the core competencies, and no amount of money is going to fix that.”
Already thinking about the midterm elections and the new President has not even been sworn in yet! She is obviously jockeying for position and she is looking to make sure the younger and newer voices have a large influence in the direction of the party. This sounds like somebody who might be auditioning for the Speakership when the new Congress convenes in January…

Unless Donald Trump throws in the towel it does not appear as if we will know who officially won the election for several weeks. With a few States still counting votes and with questions or reports of irregularities in others this promises to be a long drawn out process.
Pennsylvania is one of the States which is both still counting and in which there have been questions. Now it is being reported here that Supreme Court Justice Alito has ordered Pennsylvania to separate the ballots which were received late from the ballots which were cast on time. Here is more:
Pennsylvania counties must separate all ballots received by mail after polls closed on Election Day from the rest of the ballots, the Supreme Court ordered on Friday.
Justice Samuel Alito made the order on Friday evening, saying that all county boards of election must comply with guidance that requires them to keep ballots received after 8 p.m. on Tuesday “in a safe, secure and sealed container separate from other voted ballots.” If those ballots are counted, they must also be counted separately.
An application the court received earlier on Friday informed them that the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, the applicant in the case, and Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar could not verify that all boards were complying with the guidance.
Alito issued the order because he’s the justice for the region that includes Pennsylvania, according to The Washington Post, and he referred it to the whole court for a formal decision. In his order, Pennsylvania officials must respond by Saturday afternoon.
From what I understand this all comes down to a lawsuit which was filed by the Trump administration before the election, because the Supreme Court could not properly adjudicate the issue before the election it ordered the ballots separated until the case could be properly heard. Apparently it can not be confirmed if Pennsylvania is adhering to the initial order and so Justice Alito made this second order last night.
Personally I believe that if these ballots were not separated in the first place there is probably is going to be no way anybody can verify which ballots came in late and which ones were on time. I understand fighting to the bitter end but I do not see any way any of these lawsuits are going to reverse the results of the election.

Arizona voters file lawsuit after ballots disqualified for using ‘Sharpies’ that poll workers handed out
A group called the Public Interest Legal Foundation has filed a lawsuit on behalf of voters who claimed their ballots were not counted because they used Sharpies which were given to them by poll workers. Here is more:
Arizona voters who claim their ballots were canceled because they were asked to use Sharpie markers to fill them out have filed a lawsuit demanding their ballots be restored.
A lawsuit filed on Wednesday by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) is requesting restoration of ballots for voters who were told to fill out their ballots using Sharpie markers but subsequently had those ballots canceled.
Specifically, the lawsuit details the case of Maricopa County, Arizon, resident Laurie Aguilera, who was given a Sharpie market to fill out her ballot on election day. State officials have previously warned against felt tip writing utensils for filling out ballots.
I am not sure why felt tip pens are not acceptable in the first place–here in New Hampshire we have always used Sharpies until this year where due to COVID-19 concerns every voter was given their own pen–but if that is the law then why are poll workers handing them out in the first place? Here is more still:
The lawsuit states that Aguilera was alarmed when the ink of the Sharpie started to bleed onto the other side of her ballot but, despite that, was told to feed her ballot through the counting machine. The ballot, the lawsuit states, was not accepted and eventually canceled by the poll worker.
“These voters were denied the right to vote. Arizona election officials allegedly were part of the problem, and denial of the right to vote should not occur because of failures in the process of casting a ballot,” PILF President J. Christian Adams said in a statement.
It is hard to argue with that statement; these people were allegedly given the Sharpies they used to vote and–while part of the problem lies in their not knowing or not questioning the rules–while we do not know if something nefarious was going on here there are questions regarding who is allowed to be a poll worker. How did the poll workers not understand the rules? How was it that after the first couple of ballots were disqualified there was no communication between workers to stop the error from continuing?
