Did John Boehner cut a deal with Nancy Pelosi to avoid a government shutdown before he announced his resignation?
Ever since John Boehner announced he was resigning from the House something in my mind told me there was more to this story than we were being told–something was not right, why would John Boehner do this? I could not wrap my head around it, but if this story is true we might just have the answer.
Rumors are circulating in Washington that before he resigned he cut a deal with Nancy Pelosi to avoid a government shutdown and fund all of Barack Obama’s must-pass priorities.

The State Department to turn over nearly 1,000 previously undisclosed Hillary Clinton emails
Yesterday the Associated Press reported that despite Hillary Clinton’s sworn statement she did not in fact turn over all of her work related emails and today The Daily Beast is reporting the State Department has found “a handful” of Benghazi-related emails it “mistakenly” failed to turn over to the committee investigating Benghazi.
The State Department will hand these emails over to the committee as part of a batch of nearly 1,000 previously unreleased emails related to Libya from Hillary Clinton’s personal email system.

Unlike Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills, two of Hillary Clinton’s most trusted aides, the former Secretary of State certified under penalty of perjury that she handed over all of her official emails to the State Department. It is now looking as if Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin were the smart ones because it is being reported here that the Feds have found work related emails on Hillary Clinton’s server which she did not turn over.

John Boehner announces he will resign at the end of October
Well this is old news by now and you all have heard it at this point in time but I would be remiss not to at least mention it: earlier today the man who simultaneously punished the conservatives in his own party while lying supinely on his back and prostrating himself to Barack Obama, (I think Laura will like those references!) John Boehner, has announced that he will resign his position as Speaker of the House and will abandon his House seat.
I have to admit that while I am happy with this turn of events it caught me totally by surprise. John Boehner, who in my opinion is nothing more than a Hegelian Dialectic change agent, has been punishing the conservatives within his own party for years because of their audacity to try to make good on campaign promises to cut spending and reduce the Federal deficit but I believe his downfall began when he took on the wrong man–Mark Meadows–for his vote against Obamatrade earlier this year.
Carly Fiorina in 2013 admitted she supports the Obamacare individual mandate
Carly Fiorina appeared on Crossfire back in 2013 and while discussing Obamacare she was asked if she supported both the individual mandate and the provision which disallowed healthcare companies from denying coverage to people with preexisting conditions to which she replied, “I actually do agree with those two provisions.”

One could possibly give Carly Fiorina the benefit of the doubt and her supporters might try to claim she misspoke but she clearly said she supported the TWO provisions and one of the provisions mentioned was the individual mandate. But she was given a second chance to clarify what she said and she once again stated she was for both provisions.
Regardless of the Supreme Court decision, nobody will ever be able to tell me that it is Constitutional for the Federal government to mandate an individual purchase a product, nor will anyone ever be able to convince me the Federal government can penalize an individual for not entering a marketplace they are unwilling, or unable, to enter and I will never support a candidate who believes otherwise. Cross her off the list…

Carly Fiorina has repeatedly said that Obamacare should be repealed and replaced yet she supports what I consider to be the most offensive part of the legislation so one can assume that if as President she repealed Obamacare (pretending for a moment there is even a snowball’s chance in hell of repealing it, which there is not) that whatever she replaced it with would also include an individual mandate.

Iran admits no IAEA inspectors were present when samples from a controversial site were gathered
One of the biggest complains critics have of the Obama-Kerry Iran nuclear deal is the fact that side deals were struck which the Senate was not allowed to see before voting on the new pact. The reason for this secrecy became clear once it was reported one of the side deals actually allowed Iran to inspect its own sites without any oversight by the IAEA.
It is now looking more and more likely that this is indeed the case because, according to this story, Iran has admitted that when samples were collected at one of the most controversial sites no IAEA inspectors were on hand to witness the collection.

The State Department disputes Hillary Clinton’s claim about her decision to turn over her email records
Hillary Clinton has made the claim that the State Department only asked for more of her email correspondence as part of a routine records-keeping venture and not because she has become embroiled in a scandal in which she deliberately tried to hide her official business from the American people, FOIA requests, and the oversight committees on a personal homebrew email server.
Here is her defense:
Throughout the controversy over her use of a private e-mail system while she was secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton has described her decision last year to turn over thousands of work-related e-mails as a response to a routine-sounding records request.
“When we were asked to help the State Department make sure they had everything from other secretaries of state, not just me, I’m the one who said, ‘Okay, great, I will go through them again,’ ” Clinton said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “And we provided all of them.”
But the State Department is now disputing this claim, stating this request was not because of a routine record-keeping venture but rather because the department learned it did not have all of her emails because they were hidden on a personal homebrew email server:
Barack Obama has been a supporter of the rebels in Syria in their supposed attempt at combating Bashar Al-Assad and ISIS, and because of this we have learned the Pentagon has spent $500 million to train these rebels. (To be fair, Barack Obama is not alone in this position because John McCain not only is a supporter of the Syrian rebels, but he also flew over there to meet them.)
But now we are learning how short-sighted, or naive, (or nefarious) this plan was because according to this story these rebels have betrayed its American allies by handing over their weapons to al-Qaeda.

A Federal judge, Emmet Sullivan, has ordered the FBI to communicate with the State Department in regards to the agency’s ongoing criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’e personal email server but the FBI is refusing to even acknowledge there is an active investigation.

The FBI refused to cooperate Monday with a court-ordered inquiry into former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s email server, telling the State Department that they won’t even confirm they are investigating the matter themselves, much less willing to tell the rest of the government what’s going on.
Judge Emmet G. Sullivan had ordered the State Department to talk with the FBI and see what sort of information could be recovered from Mrs. Clinton’s email server, which her lawyer has said she turned over to the Justice Department over the summer.
“At this time, consistent with long-standing Department of Justice and FBIpolicy, we can neither confirm nor deny the existence of any ongoing investigation, nor are we in a position to provide additional information at this time,” FBI General Counsel James A. Baker wrote in a letter dated Monday — a week after the deadline the Justice Department had set for the FBI to reply.
Of course this leaves one wondering if the FBI is conducting any investigation at all and if so how serious of an investigation the agency is conducting.
Scott Walker drops out of the Presidential race
I have to admit this news does not come as a surprise because he has not been able to either raise money or get his message out there but today Scott Walker became the second republican to announce he was dropping out of the Presidential race. Here is more:
During a press conference in Madison, Wisconsin, Walker delivered a short speech in which he announced that he is suspending his campaign. Walker referenced his respect for President Ronald Reagan “because he was an optimist.”
He said this presidential race and the previous GOP primary debate was “not focused on that optimistic view of America” and instead it has drifted into personal attacks.
Walker stated that Republican ideas will help make our country great again.
He decided to suspend his campaign in order to “clear the field in this race,” adding a positive conservative message and solutions need to rise to the top of the GOP field.
“I encourage other presidential candidates to do the same,” Walker said, stressing the need to limit the field in order to provide the voters an “alternative to the frontrunner,” a reference and a jab at GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
