Report finds that Harry Reid pressured DHS to expedite visas to benefit his son’s client
Yesterday a new Inspector General report was released which showed us that Terry McAuliffe and Hillary Clinton’s brother, Tony Rodham, might have received preferential treatment from the Department of Homeland Security. Toward the end of my post on this issue I mentioned that Harry Reid was also mentioned in the report as having received preferential treatment from the department as well.
However this story deserves its own headline so here we go: According to this story, Harry Reid pressured the Department of Homeland Security to expedite certain visa applications. Here is more:
MSNBC guest claims Ted Cruz likes country music because ‘nothing says let’s go kill some Muslims like country music’
The mainstream media, predictably, has stepped up its attacks on Ted Cruz in an attempt to marginalize him since he announced he was running for the Presidency in 2016–and leading the way is the propaganda arm of the Democratic party, otherwise known as MSNBC.
But today MSNBC reached a new low–even for them–when a guest stated that the reason Ted Cruz likes country music is because “nothing says let’s go kill some Muslims like country music.” And “straight from Lynchberg Virginia.” In addition to slandering Ted Cruz this guest slandered the residents of a State, all country music singers, and all country music fans and this is unacceptable.
Report finds Terry McAuliffe and Hillary Clinton’s brother received preferential treatment from Homeland Security
A new report is out which has found that Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas might have been giving Terry McAuliffe and Tony Rodham (Hillary Clinton’s brother) preferential treatment when he intervened with stakeholders on their behalf.

A Department of Homeland Security watchdog report issued Tuesday blasted the agency’s No. 2 official for repeatedly intervening on behalf of well-connected participants in an investor-visa program, including Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-Va.) and Tony Rodham, a brother of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The inspector general report faults Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for creating “an appearance of favoritism and special access” as a result of highly unusual steps he took while serving as director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which oversaw the investment-based program known as EB-5.
The “appearance of favoritism and special access?” You think?! It seems to have gone beyond “appearance” to me, here is even more:
I found this story to be interesting so I thought I would write a little about it: With the confirmation vote for Barack Obama’s nominee to replace Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, looking as if it could be a nail-biter it is quite possible the deciding vote could come from Democratic Senator Bob Menendez. Of course Senator Menendez is facing criminal corruption charges which could be handed down in the near future from the Department of Injustice.

The deciding vote on whether the Senate will confirm the nation’s top law enforcement official could come down to New Jersey’s Bob Menendez, and it could happen while he is under indictment by the Justice Department for alleged corruption.
An ethics expert said it would not be a conflict for Menendez to vote on Loretta Lynch’s nomination to be attorney general.
If Menendez becomes the deciding vote, that could also provide further political fodder to critics whose main complaint is not about Lynch’s qualifications but about what they say are illegal executive orders on immigration issued by President Obama.
First the Obama regime used the IRS to target conservative groups and now it looks as though they are at it again–this time, according to this story, the regime is going to use FEMA to force States into the global warming agenda. Here is more:
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is making it tougher for governors to deny man-made climate change. Starting next year, the agency will approve disaster-preparedness funds only for states whose governors approve hazard-mitigation plans that address climate change.
This may put several Republican governors who maintain that the Earth isn’t warming due to human activities, or prefer to take no action, in a political bind. Their position may block their states’ access to hundreds of millions of dollars in FEMA funds. In the last five years, the agency has awarded an average $1 billion a year in grants to states and territories for taking steps to mitigate the effects of disasters.
“If a state has a climate denier governor that doesn’t want to accept a plan, that would risk mitigation work not getting done because of politics,” said Becky Hammer, an attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council’s water program. “The governor would be increasing the risk to citizens in that state” because of his climate beliefs.
Ted Cruz to announce Presidential bid
It is being reported in this story that tomorrow Ted Cruz will become the first candidate to officially announce he is going to run for the office of the Presidency in 2016. There will be plenty of time to vet Ted Cruz and to discuss his positions on the issues but I wanted to write about something else tonight that I think will be interesting to watch play out on both sides of the isle in regards to this news.
That issue is role-reversal and some talk show hosts have been talking about this for awhile now. Specifically there are two issues at hand: The first issue is, and I think you all know what it is, Ted Cruz’s eligibility to run for President. Ted Cruz was born in Canada and this presents a problem to the birthers who still will not accept Barack Obama as a legitimate President based on the origin of his birth.

Democratic Congressman on possible Iran nuke deal: ‘attempts to sidestep Congress will be resisted on both sides of the aisle’
The Congress has sent another letter in regards to the Iran nuclear deal which the Obama regime is negotiating with Iran, however this time it was a bipartisan letter and it was sent to Barack Obama–telling him that the Congress expects to play a role in the deal and that any attempt to bypass the Congress would be “resisted on both sides of the aisle.”
This seems to be in response to the report that Barack Obama was looking at bypassing the Congress by going to the United Nations in dealing with Iran.
Here is some of what Democratic Congressman Eliot Engel had to say about this:
“Congress really needs to play a very active and vital role in this whole process, and any attempts to sidestep Congress will be resisted on both sides of the aisle,”
“We would hope that we could get a prompt response from the White House,” Engel said. “It’s truly a very bipartisan letter expressing Congress’ strong feelings about things that need to be in the agreement.”
“But make no mistake: Congress will play an important role in the evaluation of a final deal,” he said. “Again, I want to say that I will not stand by and allow Congress to be marginalized. Any permanent repeal of sanctions is, by law, Congress’s discretion. And before we do that, we must be completely convinced that this deal blocks all of Iran’s pathways to a nuclear bomb.”

In what was the next logical step in the Hillary Clinton email saga Trey Gowdy has asked the former Secretary of State to turn over her personal email server for an independent review. Here is more:
Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., sent a letter requesting that Clinton, a likely Democratic presidential candidate, turn over to the State Department inspector general or other third party the server she used for official business while serving as secretary of state. The aim would be to have a third party determine what records should be made public.
“Though Secretary Clinton alone is responsible for causing this issue, she alone does not get to determine its outcome,” Gowdy said in a statement. His request to turn over the server is “in the interest of transparency for the American people,” Gowdy said.
