MSNBC: Hillary Clinton wiping her email server clean shows a ‘consciousness of guilt’

March 30, 2015

Many of us on the right have claimed for years that the mainstream media has a liberal bias but there is one news network that is more obvious than the others and that would be MSNBC. In fact their bias is so blatant, in my opinion, that I have dubbed the network the propaganda arm of the Obama regime and of the Democratic party.

So when MSNBC runs a segment which is semi-critical of a Democrat, such as Hillary Clinton, I think it is newsworthy and that is what happened today. An MSNBC panel was discussing the former Secretary of State and the email scandal she has become embroiled in and they actually admitted that by wiping her personal email server clean it showed a “consciousness of guilt,” or, if you prefer, she had a “guilty conscience.”

Here is how it went down:

The Department of Justice defends Hillary Clinton against Freedom Watch server subpoena

March 30, 2015

According to this story the Department of Injustice is defending Hillary Clinton from a FOIA subpoena sought by Freedom Watch in an attempt to force her to release the emails she wrote as Secretary of State on her personal email server.

  Here is more:

The Justice Department is defending former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from a motion to subpoena her private emails under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

“Such action is unnecessary and inappropriate under FOIA,” DOJ officials wrote in a legal briefing filed Thursday. Officials were responding to a case launched by Larry Klayman, the founder of the conservative watchdog group Freedom Watch.

Klayman is asking the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C., to subpoena Clinton’s computer server where she housed the private email address she used while serving in the State Department.

Clinton has turned over 55,000 pages of emails that she believed could be considered official government communications, but she deleted 30,000 emails that she considered to be personal.

The Justice Department describes Klayman’s call for a subpoena as “speculation” in its brief.

“Plaintiff provides no basis, beyond sheer speculation, to believe that former Secretary Clinton withheld any work-related emails from those provided to the Department of State,” the agency says.

Ted Cruz claims Republican leadership cut off his fundraising after he shut down the government

March 29, 2015

Ted_Cruz John Boehner and the establishment elites within the Republican party have a history of punishing conservatives who dare to disagree with the leadership. John Boehner is especially well known for this in conservative circles: he has previously removed conservatives from key committee positions in 2012 for not falling in line; in 2013 he fired the top conservative in the Republican Study Committee; and again last year he punished those that dared to vote against His Excellency for Speaker of the House.

And now, if Ted Cruz is telling the truth, we can add his name as well as  Mike Lee to the list of conservatives who have been punished by the establishment Republican leadership. It is not a secret that the establishment was very upset at these two people who actually tried to make good on their campaign promises instead of just paying them lip service as do the rest of the Republicans in Washington, but for the first time Ted Cruz has let us know how upset they really were.

Open thread for Sunday, March 29th: ‘Dead Inside’

March 29, 2015

open-thread  Here is the open thread for Sunday, March 29th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.

Last week we covered 13 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.

In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.

The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!

Now on to the musical selection of the week: A couple of weeks ago I shared the first audio sample released from Muse’s upcoming new CD entitled “Drones.” That song was entitled “Psycho” and now the first single has hit the airwaves. This song is called “Dead Inside” and I happened to find a video of the first (and as far as I know, the only) time the band performed has this song live to date and here it is. It is an audience recording but the audio and the video are sill pretty good.

Did Hillary Clinton have a secret spy network set up through her personal email server?

March 28, 2015

Did Hillary Clinton use her personal email server to set up what might amount to a secret spy ring to gather intelligence in Libya before the Benghazi terrorist attack which left Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods dead?

That is what is being speculated in this article, here is more:

Why is Harry Reid really retiring?

March 28, 2015

happy_harry_reid In my post about Harry Reid’s announcement that he was going to retire and would not be running for reelection in 2016 I speculated that this might be due to the recent Department of Homeland Security Inspector General report which was released two days before the Senator from Nevada announced his decision.

The report found that Harry Reid used his political position and power to pressure the Department of Homeland Security into expediting visas which freed up $115 to a client of his son Rory. I found the timing to be a remarkable coincidence!

Now Breitbart has taken the speculation even further. Here is more:

Trey Gowdy claims Hillary Clinton wiped her server clean

March 27, 2015

Earlier today Trey Gowdy made the shocking claim, if it is true, that Hillary Clinton has erased every single email from the personal email server she was using to conduct all State Department business. Here is more:

Hillary Clinton wiped “clean” the private server housing emails from her tenure as secretary of state, the chairman of the House committee investigating the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi said Friday.

“While it is not clear precisely when Secretary Clinton decided to permanently delete all emails from her server, it appears she made the decision after October 28, 2014, when the Department of State for the first time asked the Secretary to return her public record to the Department,” Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi, said in a statement.

Lest you feel this is nothing but a witch hunt or a fishing expedition it appears as if one of Hillary Clinton’s lawyers, David Kendall, has confirmed this is indeed true. Here is more on this revelation:

Barbara Lee claims global warming will turn women into prostitutes

March 27, 2015

Democratic Congresswoman Barbara Lee has introduced House Concurrent Resolution 29 in an attempt to draw attention to the dangers global warming presents to women in the United States and across the globe. In this resolution she claims that women will be forced into prostitution because food will be hard to come by and some women will need to enter the sex trade in order to earn more money in order to provide for their families.

Here is the text from that portion of the resolution:

food insecure women with limited socioeconomic resources may be vulnerable to situations such as sex work, transactional sex, and early marriage that put them at risk for HIV, STIs, unplanned pregnancy, and poor reproductive health

I have to give her credit for taking global warming fear-mongering to a new level, just when I think I have heard it all along comes someone like Barbara Lee to prove me wrong.

But with more and more scientists questioning global warming, and with NASA being investigated for “adjusting” historical temperatures, I suppose the left feels as if time is running out for them to pass their radical agenda so this explains the increase in rhetoric as well as why FEMA is trying to extort States into accepting the Federal government’s official stance on global warming.

Harry Reid will not seek reelection in 2016

March 27, 2015

As you have all heard by now Harry Reid has decided not to run for reelection in 2016. Here is more:

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid announced Friday he will not seek reelection next year, a decision that will reshape the hierarchy of the Senate Democratic Caucus and upend Nevada’s political landscape.

In a farewell video, Reid, 75, said his brutal eye injury in January that nearly left him blind in one eye gave him time to reevaluate his life and career. His departure will deprive the Senate of one of its fiercest infighters, who played a lead role in shepherding President Barack Obama’s health care law through the chamber and regularly stymied Republicans.

“I’ve had time to ponder and to think. We’ve got to be more concerned about the country, the Senate, the state of Nevada than us,” Reid said. “And as a result of that, I’m not going to run for reelection.”

Does Scott Walker privately support amnesty for illegal immigrants?

March 26, 2015

Scott Walker has emphatically stated that he does not support amnesty for illegal immigrants but according to this story he privately told supporters that he does in fact support amnesty. Here is more:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker told a private dinner of New Hampshire Republicans this month that he backed the idea of allowing undocumented immigrants to stay in the country and to eventually become eligible for citizenship, a position at odds with his previous public statements on the matter.

Mr. Walker’s remarks, which were confirmed by three people present and haven’t been reported previously, vary from the call he has made in recent weeks for “no amnesty”—a phrase widely employed by people who believe immigrants who broke the law by entering the country without permission shouldn’t be awarded legal status or citizenship.

However, just as emphatically, the Scott Walker camp is denying this account. Here is what his spokesperson, Kirsten Kukowski, had to say about this report:

“We strongly dispute this account. Governor Walker has been very clear that he does not support amnesty and believes that border security must be established and the rule of law must be followed. His position has not changed, he does not support citizenship for illegal immigrants, and this story line is false”

What is the truth? Does Scott Walker support amnesty or does he not support amnesty? It is hard to discern the truth in this age of deception for this could be nothing more than an attempt by the mainstream media to discredit the Wisconsin governor with conservatives because they feel he could be a real threat if he does indeed decide to run for the Presidency in 2016. But at the same time I have grown distrustful of anyone who seeks political power so should Scott Walker get the benefit of the doubt?

What do you guys think about this story?
