Mary Landrieu loses big in Louisiana Senate runoff election
In one final rebuke of Barack Obama and his policies, the voters of Louisiana sent Democratic incumbent Senator Mary Landrieu home with a 56-44% defeat at the hands of her Republican challenger, Bill Cassidy.
As you can tell by the final margin this was not even a close race and when an incumbent loses by such a large margin it is a clear indication of how the people feel about the party of said incumbent.
This of course gives the Republicans a 54-46 vote majority in the Senate and a clear message was sent to Washington by the people. However John Boehner seems to not be listening to that message so I would like to reiterate something I wrote earlier to the Dear Speaker: The House Republicans picked up seats in the mid-term election and the Republicans now hold a 54-46 seat majority in the Senate. NEWSFLASH: THE REPUBLICANS WON THE ELECTION! The voters have rejected Barack Obama, the Democrats, and their policies so START ACTING LIKE IT!

Candy Crowley and CNN part ways
Consider this to be your feel-good post of the week for while being deluged with bad news this is as good as it gets nowadays: It is being reported that CNN and Candy Crowley are parting ways. You can read more here.
CNN President Jeff Zucker released a statement confirming this news in which he wrote about how wonderful Candy Crowley is, if you want to read the full statement you can see what he had to say by clinking on the link above, however I want to focus on the first sentence of his statement so here goes:
In her 27 years at CNN, Candy Crowley has been one of the most important and impactful journalists on our air.
This, as conservatives well-remember, was never more evident than in the 2012 Presidential election when she apparently conspired with Barack Obama and the Democrats during a debate to take sides as a moderator and deal what I consider to be a death blow to Mitt Romney’s campaign.
Latest polls show Mary Landrieu is in big trouble tomorrow
Tomorrow Louisiana voters head to the voting booths to decide who will be the next Senator from that state and the latest polls show Mary Landrieu could be headed to a defeat of epic proportions.

The most recent poll, conducted by GEB International, shows her challenger, Representative Bill Cassidy (R-LA), with a 26 point lead. The Real Clear Politics average of all polls conducted over the last month shows Cassidy is up by more than 17 points.
By all accounts, Landrieu’s support is hemorrhaging in this race for the last remaining contested seat in the United States Senate. If Landrieu loses, it will be yet another indication of how poorly the Democratic Party brand is faring these days in the Deep South, and particularly with white voters.
If these polls are accurate it will signify the latest rebuke of Barack Obama’s policies so I would like to take this opportunity to send a message to John Boehner: Mr. Speaker, the House Republicans picked up seats in the mid-term election and the Republicans will hold at least a 53-47 seat majority in the Senate. Black singer attacked on Twitter for singing ‘White Christmas’
Darius Rucker is the former lead singer of the band Hootie and the Blowfish and he just happens to be a black man. He recently sang the Irving Berlin classic “White Christmas” at the New York City Christmas tree lighting, and because this came on the heals of the grand jury decision not to indict the officer who killed Eric Garner with a choke hold (a decision I have a problem with) he was met with condemnation on Twitter.
As we all know, or at least I thought we did, “White Christmas” has nothing to do with race, it is simply about wishing for a little snow on a religious holiday which most Americans still consider dear to this day. But that did not stop the leftists on Twitter from using this as an opportunity to push their politically correct agenda.

This is what we are dealing with and with so many people having been inculcated into the politically correct mindset it is hard to see how we can win this battle.

Tom Harkin on Obamacare: “we should have either done it the correct way or not done anything at all”
Last week Chuck Schumer went on record as saying the Democrats should not have focused on healthcare reform in 2010 until the Congress had dealt with other issues more pressing to a majority of the American people first and now Democratic Senator, and Obamacare co-author, Tom Harkin is joining him in questioning the Democrats over Obamacare.
Unlike Chuck Schumer, Tom Harkin is not claiming the Democrats should not have focused on healthcare reform but he is basically claiming the Democrats screwed the whole thing up.
