The Boehner-Obama cromnibus bill is in big trouble
Well today sure was an interesting day when it comes to the effort to keep the government open after midnight tonight, wasn’t it?
First John Boehner brought the bill forward on a procedural vote and that almost failed and fearing the final vote would fail he was forced to withdraw the legislation. Quite embarrassing to say the least.
The reason for this problem is interesting as well for we knew the conservative Republicans were not going to vote for it so John Boehner was working with the Democrats to get the votes from that side of the aisle to ensure its passage. However Elizabeth Warren stepped in and whipped up opposition from the left based on the provision in the bill which would have put a dent in the Dodd-Frank Finance law.
Democrats are losing the gun control debate
The Democrats love to politicize every single tragedy they can in order to push their radical, anti-second amendment, unconstitutional, gun control agenda. Personally, I find it sickening the way the Democrats use these incidents to push a political agenda for they are placing their own agenda in the forefront while claiming they are trying to doing this to protect the innocents, but nothing could be further from the truth. They can hardly contain their glee because it provides them with an “opportunity” to take advantage of a “crisis.” (Hegelian Dialectic?)
However it does not appear to be working: Pew Research has released a new poll which shows that for the first time in 2o years people support gun rights over gun control.

Did Jonathan Gruber lie to the Oversight Committee when he claimed he was not an Obamacare architect?
As you all know, Jonathan Gruber testified under oath yesterday to the Oversight Committee. During his testimony he claimed that he was not an Obamacare architect, and insisted that he only provided some economic modeling for the legislation.
However, during a speech to MIT students in 2012 he said something a little bit different. The following video is almost 40 minutes long but if you skip to the 8:57 mark you will hear Jonathan Gruber tell the attendees, under the interest of full disclaimer, that “I helped write it.”

Omnibus bill: Spending cap? What spending cap?
Last year Republican Paul Ryan and Democrat Patty Murray introduced a budget bill entitled the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013 which was eventually signed by the President. You may recall that this bill capped spending for 2014 at $1.012 trillion.
John Boehner’s omnibus spending bill came in at that number so at least we have that going for us, right? Well, not if this story is true. Conservative Review is claiming that this budget includes gimmicks which would allow the Federal government to exceed the spending cap for 2014.

John Boehner’s ‘cromnibus’ bill surrenders on border crisis
As if it were not bad enough that John Boehner possibly tricked conservatives into strengthening Barack Obama’s Executive amnesty we also learned that he was trying to get his cromnibus spending bill passed without letting the conservatives see what was in it.
And now, if this story is true, we may know why. John Boehner’s cromnibus bill would actually provide nearly $1 billion to “handle the surge of unaccompanied minor children who began pouring across the southern border this summer.”

Jonathan Gruber claims he was not the Obamacare architect but refuses to provide documents
Earlier today Jonathan Gruber testified in front of the Oversight Committee and he made the claim that he was not the Obamacare architect, but when asked to provide the Committee with Obamacare related documents he refused–telling the Committee they would have to speak to his counsel.
Here is how it went down:
John Boehner is trying to pass a $1 trillion spending bill before conservatives can read it
John Boehner is on one hell of a roll: First, it appears as if he tricked the conservatives in the House to vote for a bill which actually gives the President the legal standing with the Congress to grant Executive amnesty and now it appears as if he is trying to pass the $1 trillion “cromnibus” spending bill before anyone can read it. In case you have not heard the term “cromnibus” before it is a combination of a Continuing Resolution and an omnibus spending bill, and he claims it is a compromise designed to appease conservatives who want to fight Barack Obama’s Executive amnesty.

Did John Boehner trick conservative House members into voting to strengthen Barack Obama’s Executive amnesty?
HR 5759 was passed by the House with 216 Republican votes. This bill is called the Executive Amnesty Prevention Act of 2014 so it is understandable why the conservatives voted for it.
On the surface it would appear as if John Boehner was making good on his promise to fight Barack Obama’s Executive action on immigration tooth and nail.
However, did John Boehner actually use a little subterfuge in order to trick the conservatives into voting for a bill which contained a loophole which would actually grant Barack Obama the authority to grant amnesty to thousands of illegal immigrants?
That is what Texas Representative Louie Gohmert is claiming and that is why he voted against it, here is more:
December 7th, 1941: A date which will live in infamy
My apologies for posting this so late today.
When Americans went to bed on December 6th, 1941 America was at peace. (Although America was secretly helping the British against Germany the citizenry was unaware.) But when Americans woke up on Sunday, December 7th they learned that war was inevitable because early in the morning Imperial Japan conducted a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor which left 2,400 dead. The wars in the Pacific and Europe became WWII and America was called upon to free the world of tyranny. It was a call which was answered by the greatest generation–a generation which is sadly almost gone.
