Obamacare: The EEOC is suing corporations which are in compliance with the healthcare law?
Even as the Supreme Court readies itself to hear an Obamacare challenge on whether or not the Federal exchanges can hand out subsidies it appears as if another challenge is going to making its way into the court system.
This time the challenge is coming from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and it is aimed at several corporations even though they are in compliance with the law. The EEOC is claiming the provision in Obamacare which allows corporations to create “workplace wellness” programs violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
This is what the lawsuit is apparently based on:
Mary Landrieu’s Chief of Staff caught on video admitting she will vote with Barack Obama 97% of the time
In order to better help herself win her reelection Bid Mary Landrieu has been distancing herself from Barack Obama. Here is one example:
“I don’t want one person to think I go to Washington to represent the Democratic Party and bashing the oil and gas industry or to carry the water for Barack Obama on energy,” Ms. Landrieu told a group of oil and gas executives in Louisiana last month. “I support the president on other matters. On this one we have a great disagreement.”
Since failing to win the majority needed to avoid a runoff election she has publicly continued to try to distance herself from the President, most notably forcing a vote (which she knew would never become law) on the Keystone Pipeline.
Gateway Arch bomb plot stopped by maxed out EBT card?
Last week two men were arrested for allegedly planning to blow up the Gateway Arch as well as plotting to kill both St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch and Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson as part of the Ferguson protests.
However these plotters apparently ran into a little problem because they could not afford to buy more bombs until one suspect’s girlfriend’s EBT card was reloaded.

This will not come as a shock to the climate scientists who last December took a trip to the Antarctic to prove the ice caps were melting only to get stuck in the non-existent ice, but a British underwater robot has completed two expeditions under the Antarctic ice and has confirmed that it is thicker than the previous estimates.
Here is more:
“Our surveys indicate that the floes are much thicker and more deformed than reported by most drilling and ship-based measurements of Antarctic sea ice,” the team reported in the journal Nature Geoscience on Monday.
“Mean drafts range from 1.4 to 5.5 metres, with maxima up to 16 metres.
“We suggest that thick ice in the near-coastal and interior pack may be under-represented in existing in situ assessments of Antarctic sea ice and hence, on average, Antarctic sea ice may be thicker than previously thought.”
The survey was carried out by an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), dubbed SeaBED, which has spent the past four years surveying 500,000 square metres of ice thicknesses in the Weddell, Bellingshausen and Wilkes Land sections of Antarctica for British, US and Australian scientists.
Undeterred from their plight the climate scientists aboard the Australasian Antarctic Expedition which was stuck in the ice tried to claim that the fact they found ice where it was not expected was more proof that global warming exists and I am sure the authors of this study at Nature Geoscience are somehow going to make the same claim.
The brewing civil war between the Democratic Party and Barack Obama
Much has been written in the mainstream media over the last several years about the civil war in the Republican Party and it is not without merit. The Tea Party/conservative/libertarian wing has been at odds with the establishment, ruling class Republicans for quite some time.
However in the aftermath of the midterm drubbing there seems to be a civil war brewing in the Democratic Party as well.
Here is a taste:
Criticism of President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law by a top Senate Democrat this week laid bare post-election tensions that could pose challenges for the party in upcoming fights with Republicans over taxes, energy and immigration.
In a high-profile speech on Tuesday dissecting Democrats’ losses in this month’s midterm elections, Charles Schumer, the No. 3 Senate Democrat, listed “a cascade of issues” botched by the White House, starting with Obama’s push for healthcare reforms soon after he took office in 2009.
Later on Tuesday, the White House took the unusual step of publicly pledging to veto a deal on tax breaks that Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid was trying to hammer out with Republicans in the House of Representatives.
“There is clearly a lot of unhappiness and a lot of mistrust that exists between the president and his congressional party,” said Ross Baker, political scientist at Rutgers University.
Obama, whose low approval ratings were seen as a drag on his party in the elections, may see support waver from some Democrats on an energy issue – the proposed Keystone XL pipeline to carry oil from Canada’s oil sands to be processed on the U.S. Gulf Coast. Democrats in states where voters want pipeline will face a dilemma over whether to break ranks with Obama and back Republican legislation aimed at forcing the project through.
Several Democratic senators have been critical of Obama for taking executive action rather than letting Congress take the lead on the issue. If six or seven joined Republicans, they could block Obama’s action, forcing a veto.
There is much more to read about this in the article I linked to above and I would suggest you all check it out. Of course the Democrats have brought this all on themselves after having blindly supporting Barack Obama over the last six years. They once supported the policies they are now trying to distance themselves from and I find it quite entertaining to say the least.
My question is this: Will the mainstream media cover this brewing civil war in the Democratic Party with as much vigor and with as much zeal as they reported the civil war within the Republican Party?
I think we know the answer to that question…move along, nothing to see here.
The Revolting Truth with Andrew Klavan: How the Media See the Midterms
Regular readers of America’s Watchtower know how I feel about Bill Whittle, I never miss the opportunity to post an Afterburner or Firewall video, but I have to admit I am more than a little late to the party in regards to Andrew Klaven.
That is about to change: Here is the latest The Revolting Truth video by Andrew Klaven entitled ‘How the Media See the Midterms.’

The Treasury Inspector General has identified 2,500 documents that could show the IRS shared taxpayer information with the White House
The investigation into the IRS targeting scandal may be about to heat up big time: Last week the IRS announced it miraculously found 30,000 of Lois Lerner’s supposedly lost emails (conveniently enough after the election) and today the IRS asked for an extension of the deadline to turn over certain documents which might have been shared with the White House.
You may be wondering why I consider it good news that the IRS has requested this extension, after all are they not stonewalling once again? Maybe not for you see the IRS Treasury Inspector General has found so many documents–2,500 to be exact–which “potentially” could have been shared with the White House that they cannot meet the deadline. The admission that these documents were found leads me to believe this is not another attempt at stonewalling the investigation, however it could provide them with the time needed to “doctor” the documents before turning them over. Just saying…

MSNBC legal analyst: The word ‘charging’ is racist
Darren Wilson claimed in testimony that he was acting in self-defense when he shot Michael Brown because Michael Brown was charging at him. MSNBC had on a legal analyst, Lisa Bloom, to debate the Grand Jury verdict and here is what she had to say about the term ‘charging’ and I think you know where she is going to take this:
“This issue about charging,” Bloom said, “which I find to be a racially tinged offensive word in and of itself, but I would have asked him, what exactly does that mean?”
I guess what she was trying to do was continue the narrative that Darren Wilson’s motivation behind killing Michael Brown was race-based and to prove it she had to turn a word which previously held no racial connotations into a racist dog whistle.
The revolution will be complete when the language is perfect…
Barack Obama’s Executive Action on immigration provides incentives for businesses to hire illegal immigrants over American citizens
Last week the President used Executive Action to announce what amounts to amnesty for up to 5 millions of people who were previously in this country illegally.
There is some good news however:
President Obama’s temporary amnesty, which lasts three years, declares up to 5 million illegal immigrants to be lawfully in the country and eligible for work permits, but it still deems them ineligible for public benefits such as buying insurance on Obamacare’s health exchanges.
That is good news indeed, but would you be surprised if I stated that all is not what it seems? I did not think so. For you see there is a loophole in Obamacare which provides an incentive for businesses to hire these newly minted legal immigrants over American citizens.
