It is no secret that Democrats have a long-term goal of turning Texas blue and who can blame them? If they are successful there is basically no chance for Republicans to win another national election.
In recent months the Democrats have tried to expedite the process through a project called Battleground Texas and that organization has thrown its resources toward Wendy Davis in an attempt to defeat Greg Abbott and install a Democratic governor in the state since 1995. It is believed that if Wendy Davis is successful it will be the beginning of a much larger effort.
However in recent weeks Wendy Davis has been faltering and has she grows more desperate so do her attack ads, first she attacked Greg Abbott over the issue of interracial marriage even though he has been in one for 30 years and then she attacked him for being wheelchair bound. This has seemingly backfired on her and it looks as though she could be headed to a double digit defeat.
We all remember that infamous debate in the 2012 campaign between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney in which Candy Crowley injected herself into the Benghazi narrative by teaming with the President to propagate the lie that he had called the attack terrorism when he did no such thing.
That debate was a turning point in the campaign; it flustered Mitt Romney on national television and his campaign, which was gaining stream up until that point, was never the same again. Candy Crowley eventually admitted she was wrong but at that point it was too late because the damage was done.
Something along those lines happened last Thursday in a debate between Jeanne Shaheen and Scott Brown.

Chris Matthews predicts Republicans could win 10 Senate seats
Today Chris Matthews spoke at the ‘Washington Ideas Forum’ and he basically said that the Democrats have no message this year and he predicted the Republicans could win 10 Senate seats next week because of it.
Here is what he said:
“They don’t really have a statement,” he said. “They have nothing in the market basket to offer. They have no real positive brand this time,” he added, “There was a great line from the American Revolution, ‘Either we hang together or we hang separately,’ the Democrats should remember that next Tuesday as the results come in.”
Matthew then made a bold prediction which had the experts in the room shaking their heads when he said the Republicans, “could win up to 10 seats in the US Senate.”
College cancels “jail and bail” fundraiser because…it is racist!
So far in 2014 we have seen several college events cancelled by the PC police: A University of California fraternity was forced to cancel a fundraiser because coconut bras and grass skirts are racist, the University of St. Thomas was forced to cancel a “hump day” event because they were going to have a petting zoo which included a camel and that was deemed insensitive towards Muslims, and Dartmouth University had to cancel a “phiesta” event because they were selling tacos and that was racist.
Now, according to this story, the PC police have struck again: The Kappa Kappa Gamma and Zeta Beta Tau fraternities were planning on holding a “jail and bail” fundraiser to raise money for ‘Reading is Fundamental.’ The gist of the fundraiser goes like this: people would volunteer to be arrested and would be sent to a mock jail until they raised enough bail money, which would then be donated to the charity.
However the event was cancelled because it was deemed to be racist:
Colorado Secretary of State is investigating allegations that some election judges are Democrats posing as Republicans
Colorado law, according to this story, requires that election judges be equally split between Republicans and Democrats and it has been alleged that some of the judges are actually Democrats who are posing as Republicans.
Colorado’s Secretary of State, Scott Gessler, is investigating the accusation. Here is more:
The Colorado Secretary of State’s Office is investigating the makeup of Boulder County’s election judge teams after allegations that county officials stacked the ranks of mail-in ballot watchers with Democrats, including some posing as Republicans.
Deputy Secretary of State Suzanne Staiert confirmed Tuesday night that state election officials visited the Boulder clerk’s office and found some troubling inconsistencies with some election judges.
“One of them was a Democrat who had changed party affiliation on Oct. 10, so we are concerned that Boulder didn’t follow the list, then resorted to advertising for these positions,” said Staiert, a member of Republican Secretary of State Scott Gessler’s staff.
“We are concerned about the numbers, and we are concerned that people switched parties simply to serve as judges,” Staiert said. “We’re looking into it, and we will continue to work with the county and the chair so they can have confidence in the election.”
It has been reported that Barack Obama is preparing to offer up to 34 million illegal immigrants amnesty through Executive Order after the election is over next week.
Mitch McConnell has now vowed that if the Republicans win the Senate they will use the power of the purse-strings to stop Barack Obama’s plan dead in its tracks.

Asked about the prospect of the president granting work permits via an executive order, he said “I think it’s a bad mistake…if the American people do change the Senate and give the Republicans control of the Congress, we certainly are, through the spending process, going to try to restrain the overactive bureaucracy that’s been attacking virtually every business in America and is the reason for this slow growth, and we intend to push back against executive orders that we think aren’t warranted by trying to control the amount of money that is allocated.” And “we’re going to do what we can in Congress to try to restrain activities that we think are a mistake, and I certainly think a whole lot of unilateral executive branch-only actions in the immigration field is a mistake.”
The polls in New Hampshire are getting very interesting
With one week to go the polls in New Hampshire are getting very interesting as most of the races seem to be tightening up.
According to this article the latest poll done by NEC shows most of the races in a dead heat. Here is more:
In the U.S. Senate race, the NEC poll is consistent with its poll last week. Republican Scott Brown leads Sen. Jeanne Shaheen 48.3 to 46.8 percent also within the margin of error. Last week, Brown led, 47.7 to 47.3 percent.
During a recent appearance on ‘State of the Union’ with Candy Crowley Debbie Wasserman Schultz agreed with the premise that Republicans were scarier than either Ebola or ISIS.
Here is how it went down:
Wasserman Schultz was asked by State of the Union host Candy Crowley if the Democrats’ message for 2014 is Ebola and ISIS are scary but Republicans are a lot scarier. Wasserman Schultz agreed.
“So we’ve heard this in previous elections, too extreme, too extreme their Tea Party, we can’t work with them,” CNN host Candy Crowley said. “So, it seems that the Democrats’ overall message is yes, ISIS is scary. Yes, Ebola is scary but Republicans are a lot scarier.”
“Well, that’s right,” Wasserman Schultz said. “Cory Gardner is a sponsor of a bill that would prevent women from being able to get access to make their own reproductive choices even in the case of rape or incest.”
I have just one question: After the Gabby Giffords shooting Barack Obama said that we need to “make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds” so how is this an example of what the president was talking about?
I guess she did not get the memo…
Last week was not a good week for New Hampshire Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen as she was laughed at by the audience during a debate with Scott Brown for ducking a question on whether or not she supported Barack Obama’s agenda, and this week did not start off any better.
Yesterday, during a forum held by both candidates, Jeanne Shaheen broke protocol by interrupting Scott Brown’s closing statement. For this she was booed and called rude by members of the audience.
