Obama pollster says the media should stop covering Barack Obama’s falling poll numbers
Isn’t it interesting now that Barack Obama’s poll numbers are tanking after he was caught lying to the American people about their ability to keep their healthcare plans if they like them that suddenly at least one Obama pollster, Joel Benenson, is calling for the media to ignore the polls?
Asked his New Year’s resolution: “Here’s one — with a variation, if mine is too extreme: Go one year without reporting any public polling data.”
“Rationale: Most public polling continues to be reported on strictly from a topline, horserace-type perspective that does nothing, or at best very little, to illuminate the news of the day.”
Benenson offered an alternative if “this is too strict.”
“Go one year without reporting any public polling data that doesn’t provide in an in-depth analysis of the underlying dynamics that are truly shaping the data,” he said.
Open thread: Wishing everyone a New Year which is happy, happy, happy
Well, today is the day before New Years day and I would like to take this opportunity to wish my dear readers a New Year that is, to quote Phil Robertson, “happy, happy, happy.” Thank you all for your support over the years and may the next year be a blessed one for all of you and your families.
When the clock strikes midnight tonight it will officially be an election year and that means it is time to begin to end of the supremacy of the ruling class elite. So to kick off the New Year I give you the song ‘Supremacy’ by Muse.
Wake to see your true emancipation is a fantasy
Policies have risen up and overcome the brave
Greatness dies unsung and lost, invisible to history
Embedded spies brainwashing our children to be mean
You don’t have long
I am on to you
The time, it has come to destroy
Your supremacy
Democrat claims Obamacare enrollment numbers are low because people think the law was repealed
Democratic Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton has an interesting theory as to why so few people have enrolled in Obamacare to date:
“There are millions of people out there who think it was repealed, so there was no way to break through that very easily,”
In other words, it is the Republicans’ fault that people are not signing up for Obamacare because of the smear campaign they have run against the ill-fated law. Does anyone really believe that millions of Americans think Obamacare was repealed and that is the reason they are not signing up for it?
If that is true it just goes to show to scale of the uphill battle we are fighting against the ignorance of a large portion of the American people, but I think it is much more likely that she is simply grasping at straws while trying to deflect the blame of Obamacare’s failures. There is no way that millions of Americans are that clueless, is there? Maybe I just have more faith in the American people than she does.
However, she did go on to pin part of the blame on the disastrous roll out of the Obamacare website:
Norton also pointed out that the “debacle of a website” made matters worse because it “seemed to confirm that [the law] must have been repealed, or should have been repealed.”
And with that I can agree: The “debacle of a website” is all the proof I need that the law should have been repealed. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee were right all along…..
Climate scientists head to the Antarctic to prove the ice caps are melting…..get stuck in the ice
Chalk this one up in the deliciously ironic category: A group of climate scientists went on a trip to the Antarctic to prove the ice caps are melting only to get trapped in the ice they say is becoming more and more non-existent. Two ships have no tried to rescue these scientists only to be thwarted by the very same ice which supposedly is melting.
Undaunted by the irony they are still trying to claim the ice is melting:
“We’re stuck in our own experiment,” the Australasian Antarctic Expedition said in a statement. We came to Antarctica to study how one of the biggest icebergs in the world has altered the system by trapping ice. We … are now ourselves trapped by ice surrounding our ship.
“Sea ice is disappearing due to climate change, but here ice is building up,” the Australasian Antarctic Expedition said in a statement.
Apparently the fact that there is ice here where there was none before is proof that the ice is melting: Read more…
The Duck scandal hits New Hampshire
The Duck scandal has now reached New Hampshire. No, not THAT Duck scandal, this has nothing to do with the hit A&E television show. It seems as if while several people were feeding wild ducks outside a hotel in New Hampshire a Democratic State Representative from Nashua ran over several of them without ever slowing down as he pulled into the hotel parking lot.
One of the onlookers quickly snapped a picture of the license plate once he noticed it was an official vehicle and confronted David Campbell. His response? He claimed the ducks should have got out of the way!
Whistleblower had his personal email account hacked and messages deleted
According to this story a State Department whistleblower, Richard Higbie, had his personal email account hacked and four years worth of messages were deleted.
It just so happens that Mister Higbie is a criminal investigator who was working with the Congress on an investigation into the State Department. Here is some of what was deleted:
The e-mails included evidence about misconduct by top officials at the department, communications with other potential whistleblowers there, and correspondence with members of Congress who are investigating the allegations, Schulman said.
They also include correspondence between Higbie and Schulman about legal strategy, the lawyer said.
Private correspondence with his legal team and information about misconduct in the State Department were deleted; while he cannot confirm who hacked his account it is quite clear who had a vested interest in seeing this information disappear, isn’t it? Destroy the evidence so the investigation can go nowhere, that appears to be the game plan here. He is now asking for an investigation into this matter and I only have one small piece of advice for Richard Higbie–be very careful, you are now a target.
It becomes clearer by the day that this might be the most criminal and corrupt regime in United States history.
On December 19th America’s Watchtower reported on a story that 30,000 Illinois residents who had successfully enrolled in Obamacare were being told that they had to reapply for healthcare coverage if they wanted to be in compliance with the law because a glitch in the system erroneously said they were eligible for Medicaid coverage.
Here is part of what I wrote in that article:
Because these people no longer qualify for the low-income program it most likely means they will not eligible to receive a subsidy. This naturally means instead of receiving a new healthcare plan at a lower rate, which is what they thought was going to happen when the enrolled, they will probably be paying more for their healthcare than they were before the law went into effect. Talk about sticker shock! This is a double whammy for these people.
But now we are learning that it is not only Illinois residents who thought they had successfully enrolled in Obamacare who are being told they must reapply for coverage. 16,000 Iowa residents who had previously thought they had completed the process are now finding out their applications are in limbo and are being urged to reapply:
DHS Director Charles M. Palmer asserted, “We are working hard to ensure that Iowans who applied through HealthCare.gov will be enrolled in health coverage. We are encouraging Iowans who applied at the federal portal to reapply through our state website and call center. We will make every effort to process applications in a timely manner so that these Iowans can have certainty about their health care coverage.”
And the hits just keep on coming, just another glitch I suppose…..
Professor faked AIDS vaccine data in order to receive $19 million in Federal grants, does this relate to climate change?
In a disgusting turn of events a professor has admitted to faking AIDS vaccine data in order to secure $19 million in Federal grant money.
An Iowa State University professor resigned after admitting he falsely claimed rabbit blood could be turned into a vaccine for the AIDS virus.
Dr. Dong-Pyou Han spiked a clinical test sample with healthy human blood to make it appear that the rabbit serum produced disease-fighting antibodies, officials said.
The bogus findings helped Han’s team obtain $19 million in research grants from the National Institutes of Health, said James Bradac, who oversees the institutes’ AIDS research.
To think that this man was so callous as to play with the hopes of people who are suffering through this terrible disease simply for monetary reasons is despicable and I hope he ends up going to jail for a long time, but that is not the point of this post for this play directly into a position I have held on global warming for quite some time.
New CNN presidential poll shows Chris Christie and Hillary Clinton tied: Don’t believe the hype
From this CNN article:
A new CNN poll finds that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are essentially tied in a potential 2016 presidential matchup.
Christie gets the support of 48 percent of registered voters, a 2-point lead over Clinton’s 46 percent, but one that is within the poll’s 3-point margin of error.
The CNN poll is the third national poll this month to show the two current leading presidential prospects in a tie. A Public Policy Polling survey gave Christie 45 percent to Clinton’s 42, and a Quinnipiac poll gave Christie 42 to Clinton’s 41.
The article then goes on to tell the voters that Chris Christie is basically the only Republican who can beat Hillary Clinton in 2016:
The close numbers at this early stage indicate that Christie could prove much more competitive against Clinton than other potential 2016 Republican contenders.
The next-closest Republican is Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the former vice presidential nominee whose star may have risen from his role in the recent bipartisan budget deal. Clinton leads him by 8 points in the poll.
She beats Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) by 13 points, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee by 15, Texas Gov. Rick Perry by 17, and freshman Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) by 18. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former Sen. Rick Santorum are both down 19. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is down the most of the listed options, at 21 points.
Christie is the only Republican who wins suburbanites and older voters against Clinton, according to the poll. Christie also wins six in 10 independents. Not surprisingly, there is a stark difference in support between genders, with men backing Christie by 14 points and women going for Clinton by 10 points.
