New Obamacare taxes to begin in 2014
Happy New Year, the taxman cometh. Included in Obamacare are several new hidden taxes (disguised as fees) which insurance companies are naturally going to pass on to the consumers.
The cost of President Obama’s massive health-care law will hit Americans in 2014 as new taxes pile up on their insurance premiums and on their income-tax bills.
Most insurers aren’t advertising the ObamaCare taxes that are added on to premiums, opting instead to discretely pass them on to customers while quietly lobbying lawmakers for a break.
Here is a list of some of these new taxes:
The new taxes and fees include a 2 percent levy on every health plan, which is expected to net about $8 billion for the government in 2014 and increase to $14.3 billion in 2018.
There’s also a $2 fee per policy that goes into a new medical-research trust fund called the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
Insurers pay a 3.5 percent user fee to sell medical plans on the HealthCare.gov Web site.
Call this wishful thinking; Chuck Schumer made the claim that Obamacare will not be the biggest issue in the 2014 election.
“The president is working to fix it,” Schumer told NBC’s “Meet the Press” with David Gregory on Sunday. “The bottom line is, there are a lot of good things in Obamacare that people like, and the more people see that, the more positive it’s going to be.
“And I would just say one other thing, with all the focus on Obamacare, David. The number one issue in the 2014 election is not going to be Obamacare or the deficit.

Barack Obama cuts millions from Medicare’s home health benefit to help pay for Obamacare
During the 2012 election cycle Barack Obama and the Democrats ran around the country claiming that the Republicans wanted to throw granny off the cliff by reforming Medicare. They went so far as to release an ad which depicted a Paul Ryan lookalike actually pushing a wheelchair bound elderly person off of a cliff.
Even as they spread this propaganda they knew there was one party, and one party only, which actually did what they claimed the Republicans wanted to do and that was the Democratic party–included in the Obamacare law, which was passed with only the votes of Democrats, was a provision which cut Medicare. Now senior are learning the hard way that it was actually Obamacare which sought to throw granny off the cliff.

Susan Rice calls Benghazi a “false controversy”
Earlier this year Barack Obama called the terrorist attack in Benghazi (as well as the IRS and NSA scandals) a “phony scandal” and that opinion seems to be rampant throughout his regime.
On ’60 Minutes’ last night Susan rice also called the attack which left Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods dead a “false controversy.”
“I don’t have time to think about a false controversy,” National Security Adviser Susan Rice told CBS’ “60 Minutes” in an interview that aired Sunday.
Rice was talking about the September 11, 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and her insistence five days later — on all five Sunday talk shows — that the attack was a spontaneous event arising from a little-known anti-Muslim video.
The mainstream media is finally catching up to the blogosphere on a little reported aspect of Obamacare which is going to have a major impact after the first of the year, and that is the fact that a person who has enrolled in Obamacare still does not have coverage until they make their first payment. The mainstream media was dragged kicking and screaming into covering this when Kathleen Sebelius admitted this was the truth when she testified before the Congress.
She is now urging the insurance companies to cover people who have not paid for their coverage. Between this news and the news that the Obama regime is allowing the insurance companies to estimate how much money is subsidies the government owes them and it is clear our new healthcare system is being run on the honor system. What could possibly go wrong?
But wait, there is more:
One of my Senators, Democrat Jeanne Shaheen, is a devout supporter of Obamacare. She was one of the Democrats who repeated Barack Obama’s “if you like your plan you can keep it” lie and she also ran around the state telling people Obamacare would provide the people with more options because the competition would be increased, and this competition would reduce their premiums.
Of course we all know now that many people have found out the hard way that they cannot keep their plans, but this is a double whammy for New Hampshire because there is only one insurer on the State Exchange–that doesn’t sound like competition to me. And to make matters worse only 14 of the New Hampshire’s 26 hospitals are in the one healthcare provider’s network of hospitals.
A new ad has been released in the state which has received some national attention for the devastation it could reap on every single Democrat who voted for this disastrous law when the names are changed to customize the commercial to the different states.
The best line is the last one: If you like your Senator you can keep her, if you don’t you know what to do.

Barack Obama delays the individual mandate for people who have lost coverage due to Obamacare
Barack Obama has delayed yet another aspect of Obamacare when he announced earlier today that if you have lost your plan due to his plan you may be exempted from the individual mandate for one year.
He also announced that if you lost your plan you can get a “catastrophic” plan if you so chose. You know, one of those sucky plans that Barack Obama and the Democrats have been telling us are not good enough plans for us. Now suddenly they are okay because I guess it beats no coverage whatsoever, and that is the alternative many people who cannot afford to come into compliance with the law will opt to do if these sucky plans are not re-implemented.
