Obamacare: The next time you go to the doctor you could be asked about your sex life, still think you have a right to privacy?
According to this article once Obamacare is fully implemented doctors will be forced to ask you about your sex life even if it is not relevant to the reason why you are at the doctor’s office:
‘Are you sexually active? If so, with one partner, multiple partners or same-sex partners?”
Be ready to answer those questions and more the next time you go to the doctor, whether it’s the dermatologist or the cardiologist and no matter if the questions are unrelated to why you’re seeking medical help. And you can thank the Obama health law.
“This is nasty business,” says New York cardiologist Dr. Adam Budzikowski. He called the sex questions “insensitive, stupid and very intrusive.” He couldn’t think of an occasion when a cardiologist would need such information — but he knows he’ll be pushed to ask for it.
The president’s “reforms” aim to turn doctors into government agents, pressuring them financially to ask questions they consider inappropriate and unnecessary, and to violate their Hippocratic Oath to keep patients’ records confidential.
Doctors and hospitals who don’t comply with the federal government’s electronic-health-records requirements forgo incentive payments now; starting in 2015, they’ll face financial penalties from Medicare and Medicaid.
Dr. Richard Amerling, a nephrologist and associate professor at Albert Einstein Medical College, explains that your medical record should be “a story created by you and your doctor solely for your treatment and benefit.” But the new requirements are turning it “into an interrogation, and the data will not be confidential.”
Lack of confidentiality is what concerned the New York Civil Liberties Union in a 2012 report. Electronic medical records have enormous benefits, but with one click of a mouse, every piece of information in a patient’s record, including the social history, is transmitted, disclosing too much.
Why would the government require doctors to ask these questions if they were not going to use it for some reason? Still think you have a right to privacy? This is being done for a reason.
No word yet on whether a woman will be asked about whether or not she had an abortion, and if so, how many. It appears as if this is the one issue which will still covered under the right to privacy.
Benghazi: Report concludes the State Department’s internal investigation let leadership off the hook
According to a new report, the internal investigation that was conducted by the State Department unfairly put the blame for allowing the Benghazi attack to happen on mid-level employees while letting the department leaders off the hook:
The State Department’s investigation into the Sept. 12, 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi was not independent and failed to hold senior State Department officials accountable for the failures that led to the death of four Americans, according to a new investigative report compiled by the House Oversight Committee.
The Administrative Review Board, chosen by then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, unfairly placed the blame for the terrorist attack on four mid-level officials while ignoring the role of very senior officials in Clinton’s State Department for decisions about security in Benghazi, according to the new report led by Chairman Darrell Issa
“The ARB blamed systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies within two bureaus, but downplayed the importance of decisions made at senior levels of the Department. Witnesses questioned how much these decisions influenced the weaknesses that led to the inadequate security posture in Benghazi,” the report stated. “The ARB’s decision to cite certain officials as accountable for what happened in Benghazi appears to have been based on factors that had little or no connection to the security posture at U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya
This is not an earth shattering revelation, hell, this is not even news: Of course this is what happened for this is what the internal investigation was designed to do in the first place. Naturally the internal investigation was going to scapegoat lower level employees while leaving the leadership off the hook; this was just an attempt to appear as if the department was holding somebody accountable while protecting those in power. Is anyone really surprised by this? This is why it is time for an independent investigation.
The only question is; what is the Congress going to do about it?
Obamacare: Insurance companies cutting doctors and hospitals from the healthcare exchanges
According to this article, California could offer the rest of America a glimpse into healthcare when Obamacare is fully implemented and it is not pretty:

Consumers may hear that a lot more often after getting health insurance under President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
To hold down premiums, major insurers in California have sharply limited the number of doctors and hospitals available to patients in the state’s new health insurance market opening Oct. 1.
These diminished medical networks are fueling growing concerns that many patients will still struggle to get care despite the nation’s biggest healthcare expansion in half a century.
Consumers could see long wait times, a scarcity of specialists and loss of a longtime doctor.
“These narrow networks won’t work because they cut off access for patients,” said Dr. Richard Baker, executive director of the Urban Health Institute at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles
So if you are one of the many Americans who have either had your hours cut or got laid off by your employer so that the company would be able to avoid Obamacare and you are forced into the Obamacare exchanges there is a high likelihood you will not be able to keep your doctor.
Just another unintended consequence, or is it?
Obamacare: Another union boss speaks out against the healthcare law
The unions all jumped on board to support Obamacare after their bosses carved out an exemption from the law for their members. This exemption secured the support of the Democrats’ largest special interest group, but recently they have begun to realize they were lied to and will be subjected to the healthcare reform law. Needless to say, they are not happy that they will also be subjected to the law they helped to pass.
First we learned the AFL-CIO was losing 40,000 members because of the Affordable Care Act, which led AFL-CIO boss Richard Trumka to demand changes to the law. And now another union leader is speaking out against the unintended consequences of Obamacare.

Newly released emails show that Lois Lerner, and the IRS, specifically targeted Tea Party groups
We all remember that day when Lois Lerner appeared before the Congress to testify on the IRS’s targeting scandal and promptly pleaded the fifth while claiming she did nothing wrong. While pleading the fifth is her Constitutional right it left many people wondering if she was hiding something–myself included.
Soon afterward evidence began to emerge that Lois Lerner was actually feeling pressure from above to “do something” about the Citizens United ruling. In other words; do something to stifle the influence of conservative groups before the election.

The Obama regime cannot link Bashar Assad to the use of chemical weapons in Syria
Barack Obama has been claiming that Bashar Assad used chemical weapons on his own people and he has used this for justification to involve the United States in the Syrian civil war.
But while claiming to have evidence which proves Bashar Assad used these weapons Barack Obama has refused to release the evidence to show the American people he is telling the truth, instead telling the people to read an op-ed piece by a now discredited secret operative of the State Department, Elizabeth O’Bagy. There are reports out there that it was actually the al-Qaeda rebels who used the chemical weapons in an attempt to draw the United States into conflict on their side, and I just happen to believe these reports.
Now we may know why Barack Obama has been reluctant to show the American people the documents which implicate Bashar Assad in the chemical weapons attack; the Obama regime does not have the proof that Bashar Assad ordered the attack, hence the focus on the op-ed piece. Read more…
Was Syrian rebel supporter Elizabeth O’Bagy really fired for lying on her resume, or is there more to this story?
If you have been paying real close attention to the Syria crisis you know the name Elizabeth O’Bagy. In case you are not familiar with her, here is a brief summary: Elizabeth O’Bagy worked for a conservative think tank called the Institute for the Study of War until she was fired today for lying on her resume. (More on that later, it isn’t quite true.) It turns out she does not have her PH.D. She has been a vocal supporter for Barack Obama’s plan to bomb Syria in support of the al-Qaeda rebels and she wrote an op-ed piece for the Wall Street Journal which several politicians–including John McCain and John Kerry–used as justification for war with Syria.

September 11th, 2013: We have forgotten
I am posting this a day early because I have to get this off my chest and could not wait until tomorrow:
September 11th, 2001: al-Qaeda carries out a terrorist attack on United States soil which killed 3,000 innocent people in the name of Allah. September 11th, 2013: This is a day when many bloggers will recall what happened on that day and will call for America to remain vigilant in the war on terror. They will tell the American people that we must remember why our heroes are fighting overseas, and they will tell us that we must never forget what happened on that day.
If you want to read such a post you will have to go elsewhere because, while these bloggers are right in theory and I applaud their efforts, the fact is, in my opinion, that this practice is pointless because we have forgotten. It is time to face reality.
