John McCain admits no borders will ever be secured
There is a commercial running in the Boston area, and I believe all other major markets, with Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan which talks about the Gang of Eight’s immigration plan which frames the plan as a conservative approach to illegal immigration.
In this commercial they claim that the borders will be secured before amnesty is granted, however he recently revealed that it is simply not true, amnesty will be first followed by border security. Where have we heard that promise before? Oh yeah, the last two times the federal government passed immigration reform. I guess we are supposed to believe it will be different this time.
And now John McCain is on record admitting that no border will ever be secure. Perfect! The Republicans, in an effort to win over the minority vote, are thinking about what is best for the party and not what is best for the country and this is precisely what is wrong with Washington D.C.
Maxine Waters claims Barack Obama has a powerful database on every single American citizen
I first read about this story at Bunkerville so a hat tip is in order here.
Earlier this year Maxine Waters spoke glowingly about the database Barack Obama is culminating on every single American citizen:
“The president has put in place an organization that contains a kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” she added. “That’s going to be very, very powerful.”
Martin asked if Waters if she was referring to “Organizing for America.”
“That’s right, that’s right,” Waters said. “And that database will have information about everything on every individual in ways that it’s never been done before”
With the phone and internet data mining just coming to light I think we can now see exactly what she was referring to when she made those comments. She claimed Barack Obama was creating a database on everything about every single American citizen and she continued by stating it would be very powerful for years to come.
She has basically admitted what many of us of feared for quite some time but which is just coming to light for many Americans in the midst of all these scandals.
With the IRS admitting it inappropriately targeted Barack Obama’s political enemies before the election are we really supposed to believe there will be no abuses related to this database? Take off the tinfoil hats because this is real, as a DHS insider said this is going to get real ugly real soon, and we should all be afraid. We should be very afraid because Big Brother is watching…..
Report claims that Hillary Clinton’s State Department covered up prostitution and drug ring scandals
Just when you thought that it couldn’t get any worse for the Obama regime comes this report that the State Department–under Hillary Clinton–was involved in covering up scandals ranging from sexual abuse and prostitution, to underground drug rings.
CBS News reports that is has unearthed documents from the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), an internal watchdog agency, that implicate the State Department in a series of misconducts worldwide.
The memo, reported by CBS News’ John Miller, cited eight specific examples, including allegations that a State Department security official in Beirut “engaged in sexual assaults” with foreign nationals hired as embassy guards and the charge and that members of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s security detail “engaged prostitutes while on official trips in foreign countries” — a problem the report says was “endemic.”
Former State Department internal investigator Aurelia Fedenisn told CBS News, “We also uncovered several allegations of criminal wrongdoing in cases, some of which never became cases.”
Often times, other DSS agents were simply told to back off of investigations of high-ranking State Department members. Fedenisn told CBS that “hostile intelligence services” allow criminal behavior to continue.
In one such cover-up, investigators were told to stop probing the case of a U.S. ambassador who was suspected of patronizing prostitutes in a public park. The memo states that the ambassador was permitted to return to his post despite having, “routinely ditched…his protective security detail” in order to “solicit sexual favors from prostitutes.”
And all this is coming from the regime that promised to be the most open, honest, and transparent administration in the history of the United States.
Barack Obama promised to restore America’s standing on the world stage but with potential scandal after potential scandal emerging on what seems to be a daily basis his lawless regime is turning America into the laughingstock of the world.
We see it time and time again: Every time some madman opens fire on innocent people the Democrats almost immediately use the tragedy to push for gun control laws and the all too willing media quickly jump on board to begin pushing the government’s propaganda. Where most of us see tragedy the left sees opportunity.
We saw it with the Virginia Tech shooting, and we saw it when Gabby Giffords was shot, and we saw it when a madman opened fire in a Colorado movie theater. Most recently we saw it in the Newtown school shooting so I fully expected we would once again see it when a man opened fire in Santa Monica the other day and killed five people.
In fact I thought they would go even further than that because I expected to hear the left blame the Republicans and the conservatives in the Congress for the shooting because they failed to pass gun control legislation in the wake of the Newtown shooting, but to this point–with the exception of Henry Waxman–we haven’t heard a word about it and I found that to be quite curious indeed. It isn’t like the left to let a good crisis go to waste, so why are they not speaking out and trying to exploit this shooting?
The NSA whistleblower comes out of the shadows
The man who blew the lid off of Barack Obama secret spying on American citizens has come forward and his name is Edward Snowden. Mr. Snowden is a former CIA assistant who fears what the Obama regime is capable of and decided he could remain silent no longer.
Here is what he had to say:
If I wanted to see your emails
or your wife’s phone, all I have to do is use intercepts. I can get your emails, passwords, phone records, credit cards,” said Snowden. “I do not want to live in a world where everything I do and say is recorded.”
The NSA makes no distinction between friendly and hostile countries, according to Snowden, and its reach is essentially unlimited.
You are not even aware of what is possible,” said Snowden. “The extent of their capabilities is horrifying. We can plant bugs in machines. Once you go on the network, I can identify your machine. You will never be safe no matter what protections you put in place
This falls right in line with NSA Insider’s claim that what we currently know about Barack Obama’s domestic spying program is just the tip of the iceberg. He claims it is about to get very ugly.

That is because America’s Watchtower was hit by some type of spam and received almost 200 fake followers, so I was forced to remove the link in order to let the spam die down. I have been unable to determine where the spam was coming from but thought nothing of it until after we learned the extent the federal government was monitoring phone, email, and the internet and now I am wondering if that had anything to do with it because it was quite coincidental. Could this small time blogger with a modest readership be part of a larger ongoing effort? It is highly unlikely, but now that doubt will always be in the back of my mind.
And speaking of domestic spying; that leads me to this week’s musical selection. This is a song I have used once in the past but it seems appropriate to resurrect it here today.

At this point we still do not know who is responsible for the IRS targeting scandal but if we believe the testimony of two lower level IRS employees from Cincinnati the order to target conservative came from on high.
Because we have no answers we are left to speculate and former US Department of Injustice attorney John Christian Adams–who was in charge of the Black Panthers voter intimidation case who resigned after it was learned the department was dropping the case–has a theory.
He believes the investigation should center around Robert Bauer. Mr. Bauer was part of Barack Obama’s White House counsel and also served as both Barack Obama’s personal attorney and was a member of Obama for America’s legal counsel.
We have recently learned that the Obama regime went to the FISA court and received permission to spy on the phone logs of millions of Americans every day. This news should come as quite a surprise to Obama voters because it I am not mistaken when he was running for president in 2008 he promised to end the domestic spying program authorized under the PATRIOT Act when George Bush was president. In fact this was a major part of his 2008 campaign.
Here is what he had to say back then:
That means no more illegal wire-tapping of American citizens. No more national security letters to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime. No more tracking citizens who do nothing more than protest a misguided war. No more ignoring the law when it is inconvenient. That is not who we are. And it is not what is necessary to defeat the terrorists. The FISA court works. The separation of powers works. Our Constitution works. We will again set an example for the world that the law is not subject to the whims of stubborn rulers, and that justice is not arbitrary.
Once again Barack Obama’s actions do not quite align with his propaganda, but in this case not only did he not end President Bush’s misguided PATRIOT Act wire-tapping, but he seems to have expanded it to include calls which do not involve a foreign nation. Domestic calls are also being targeted in this policy.
It is interesting to note at this point that the call logs Barack Obama is spying on are business accounts which leaves us to wonder whom Barack Obama feels is the real enemy. After all, the IRS has already admitted and apologized for inappropriately and wrongly targeting conservative groups before the 2012 election so what exactly is he looking for here?
June 6th, 1944: D-Day remembered
Note: this is a repost of my annual D-Day post.
“I am quite positive that the order must be given.”
With those words the plan to liberate Europe was put into motion. On June 4th allied ships set out across the English channel to begin the much waited for offensive scheduled to begin on June 5th. Torrential downpours forced the delay of the mission but the ships could not be turned around unless the invasion was rescheduled. Running the risk of being spotted by the Germans, the ships were to sit there and wait for another opportunity.
June 5th, the allied commanders met to discuss the weather and the future of the invasion while troops were floating in the channel with no place to go and nothing to do but wait for the decision whether the order was a go or whether the invasion would be postponed. The seas were rough and the waves were high, crashing down over the landing crafts, many soldiers were sick and all of them were tired. Physically tired, and mentally tired. They were also tired of waiting, if there was to be an invasion they wanted to get it over with. To the troops waiting was worse than fighting.
The weather reports looked bad and most likely another postponement would be necessary but Dwight D. Eisenhower was waiting for the final weather report of the day before making his decision. A postponement now would mean calling off the plans altogether at this point and beginning again at a much later date. With the final weather report came some good news, it looked like there might be a break in the weather at just the right time and just long enough to begin the invasion.
Ike began to survey the other generals in the room for their opinions. Opinions were split, it appeared to some that it was too risky and that the weather report wasn’t good enough, or certain enough, to carry out the invasion. It still looked too risky.
Ironically it was a general who was known for his deliberate and careful pace on the battlefield, a general who many thought (including Ike himself and General Patton) moved too slow and was too cautious who may have swayed Dwight D Eisenhower; when asked, General Montgomery said, “I would say. GO!”
The fate of Europe hung in the balance.
Ike paced back and forth, the fate of the free world and Nazi Germany weighed on his shoulders. All eyes were upon him as he finally turned to the generals in the room and said, “I am quite positive that the order must be given.” That was his order to go and the largest amphibious landing in history was about to get underway; the first attempt at a cross channel invasion since the 1600’s was put in motion.
Knowing that the weather conditions were not ideal, and because of this there was the very real possibility that the invasion could fail, Ike sat down and penned the following statement just in case:
“Our landings in the Cherbourg-Havre area have failed to gain a satisfactory foothold and I have withdrawn the troops. My decision to attack at this time and place was based on the best information available. The troops, the air and the Navy did all that bravery and devotion to duty could do. If any blame or fault attaches to the attempt it is mine alone.”
He folded the piece of paper and stuck it in his pocket. That is where the paper would stay.
On the ships the soldiers listened to Dwight D. Eisenhower’s June 6th Order of the Day:
“We will accept nothing less than full victory!”
June 6th, D-Day. The most important day of the twentieth century. Landing crafts followed the paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne, who were deployed during the night behind enemy lines. The casualties were high, especially on Omaha Beach; many were killed as the doors to the landing craft opened, never even having the chance to leave the landing craft; while many drowned in the waters never having reached the beach. The first to reach the beach faced heavy casualties as the Germans were dug in with fortifications that the slave labor they had captured during the war were forced to build.
They faced a hell that day that is unimaginable to those who were not involved. But through persistence, drive, faith, courage, determination, and a little deception the soldiers of the United States, Great Britain, and Canada kept moving forward, buoyed in the belief that the cause was just and noble. The Germans defended the beaches viciously, but at the end of the day the invasion succeeded, the beaches were taken, and the liberation of a continent had begun.
The Germans knew that the invasion was coming but they did not know where and they did not know when. The Germans thought the invasion would probably be at Pais de Calais because it would provide the shortest path to Germany, and the Germans were also concerned about General Patton, who was actually part of a plan of deception. He was “commanding” a fake army across from Pais de Calais, fully equipped with inflatable tanks. The Germans did not think that an invasion of France would take place without America’s best general, they had no idea that General Patton was actually being punished by Ike and would not be participating in the invasion, they assumed from wherever Patton was, the true invasion would come.
Field General Rommel, the Desert Fox, figuring that the tide was wrong for the invasion, and confident that the weather would not allow an invasion, left the battlefield to buy his wife a new pair of shoes for her birthday.
Adolf Hitler was asleep, and as the invasion began nobody dared to wake him. The Führer had taken over command of the Panzer tank division and nobody could order the tanks to the invasion site but he. As he slept the Germans lost valuable time. By the time the order came from the Führer for the Panzers to get to the scene for backup it was too late. If Rommel was on the scene during the invasion, and if the Panzers were ordered to the scene in time, perhaps Ike would have had to release the statement that he had written in case the invasion failed.
Adolph Hitler was now thankfully in the last year of his life, as was Field General Rommel; both by their own hand. Rommel after being implicated in an assassination plot against Hitler.
June 6th, 1944, the longest day, and the most important day of the twentieth century, the day that the liberation of a continent began. The day that the destruction of the Nazis and the downfall of Adolph Hitler began. A day that must never be forgotten for these men proved that they were indeed from the greatest generation.

Thank you to not only those who fought and lived and those who fought and died on D-Day, but thank you also to all of those who have ever fought in the name of freedom throughout history. It is because of them that I am able to write this today. I will never forget them and I hope that you do not ever forget them either.
