Bill Maher complains about his taxes being too high
After making a fortune spewing leftist propaganda, defending liberal politicians, and attacking Republicans for being selfish could Bill Maher actually have the unmitigated gall to complain that his taxes are too high?
Bill Maher was involved in a panel discussion about Paul Ryan’s new budget proposal and after Rachel Maddow finished slamming the proposal on the same class warfare line we have grown accustomed to he stepped in and had this to say:
Pointing at Virginia’s former Republican Congressman Tom Davis, Maher said, “You know what? Rich people – I’m sure you’d agree with this – actually do pay the freight in this country.”
“I just saw these statistics,” he continued, “I mean, something like 70 percent. And here in California, I just want to say liberals – you could actually lose me. It’s outrageous what we’re paying – over 50 percent. I’m willing to pay my share, but yeah, it’s ridiculous.”
Suddenly after supporting Barack Obama and his policies he finds the statistics which show the rich pay most of the taxes, it might have been helpful if he had done a little research BEFORE he voted. Perhaps he thought his $1 million donation to the Obama campaign included an exemption from Barack Obama’s promised tax increases.
It looks like we have found the point where Bill Maher has determined he has paid enough but he is part of the reason Barack Obama got reelected and I think he owes us much more–I don’t think he has paid enough for helping to foist this man on the American people for another four years. He deserves to be a victim of the policies he has promoted and I cannot think of another person more deserving of learning a lesson the hard way. And, oh by the way Bill, you don’t get to decide when you have paid your fair share, Barack Obama will let you know when you have.
Bill Maher got what he voted for, he voted for higher taxes but now that he has seen his paycheck he suddenly isn’t as interested in sacrificing for the greater good–just another typical leftist hypocrite.
When the Congress failed to pass cap and trade legislation during his first term Barack Obama famously quipped that there was “more than one way to skin a cat,” and we all know what he meant by that; he was going to use the EPA to bypass the Congress and subvert the constitution through the regulatory process.
This was a proclamation that he reaffirmed during his State of the Union address when he stated, “if Congress won’t act soon to protect future generations, I will.” Well, the EPA has already started making moves to implement cap and trade and at this point there are 200 coal fired plants scheduled to be shut down in the near future.
This may be fulfilling his promise in 2008 to shut down coal plants but apparently the EPA is not completing the destruction of the country quick enough for Barack Obama’s Ayn Randian vision of the United States so he is stepping up his efforts to complete the destruction.
This is a story I first read about at Bunkerville; apparently at his recent luncheon with the GOP Barack Obama–like any other king in days gone by or emperor–would not share in the festivities because he didn’t have a food taster available to ensure he wasn’t being poisoned.
Here is what RINO Susan Collins had to say about this:
“Unfortunately, you know, the president can’t,” said Collins when asked if Obama ate at the lunch meeting.
“He looked longingly at it,” Collins continued. “He honestly did look longingly at it, but apparently he has to have essentially a taster, and I pointed out to him that we were all tasters for him, that if the food had been poisoned all of us would have keeled over so, but he did look longingly at it and he remarked that we have far better food than the Democrats do, and I said that was because I was hosting.”
This is the question I have after learning about this news: How are we to believe that Barack Obama is serious about negotiating with the Republicans if he honestly thinks that someone within the GOP is actually going to poison him?
Food for thought, so to speak…..
How many times have we had to endure the Hollywood elite chiming in on politics as if they were the enlightened ones who should be driving public policy while we are merely plebeians who should cling on their every word as if we should care about what they think?
There are countless examples; from Sean Penn and Michael Moore telling us we should be more like Cuba and Venezuela because these countries truly care about the people to Janeane Garolalo libeling everyone in the Tea Party as racists, the list goes on and on.
Barack Obama is going to cut Medicare reimbursements again
Remember when Barack Obama was running for reelection and he and the rest of the Democrats were running around the country claiming that Republicans planned to “throw granny off the cliff” by cutting Medicare, going so far as to air a commercial which showed Paul Ryan doing just that? I thought you would.
Well, in order to pull this propaganda effort off Barack Obama and the media had to ignore one inconvenient little fact–the only people who actually DID cut Medicare were Barack Obama and the Democrats who voted for Obamacare which included $200 million in Medicare cuts. And the plan worked brilliantly.
Apparently the $200 million in Medicare cuts was not enough for Barack Obama because according to this article he is planning to cut another 2.3% from Medicare:
The Obama administration is planning new cuts to Medicare, a federal regulatory filing reveals, cuts that could mean higher premiums or seniors losing their coverage altogether.
The new cuts come in the form of a planned reduction in the reimbursement rates the government pays to insurance companies that operate Medicare Advantage plans, which are services administered by private for-profit or non-profit providers that offer additional services than can be found in traditional Medicare.
Just recently, while talking about Paul Ryan’s new budget proposal, Barack Obama said:
If we controlled spending and we have a smart entitlement package, then potentially what you have is balance — but it is not balance to, on the backs of the poor, the elderly, students who need student loans, families that have disabled kids. That is not the right way to balance
Barack Obama is doing something on the backs of the elderly and we know one thing for sure–it ain’t balancing the budget. Again we have the president saying one thing publicly while doing the opposite privately and at this point you have to believe he has lost any credibility he might once have had. The man is a fraud, a liar, and a shyster and it is beyond time for the American people to start looking at his actions and ignoring his soaring rhetoric, for they are two very different things indeed.
According to this article, Barack Obama is in the process of drawing up plans which would allow all United States spy agencies to have access to all Americans’ financial records:
The Obama administration is drawing up plans to give all U.S. spy agencies full access to a massive database that contains financial data on American citizens and others who bank in the country, according to a Treasury Department document seen by Reuters.
The proposed plan represents a major step by U.S. intelligence agencies to spot and track down terrorist networks and crime syndicates by bringing together financial databanks, criminal records and military intelligence. The plan, which legal experts say is permissible under U.S. law, is nonetheless likely to trigger intense criticism from privacy advocates.
Needless to say this is drawing concerns from people who are worried about the privacy aspect of this soon to be policy:
A move like the FinCEN proposal “raises concerns as to whether people could find their information in a file as a potential terrorist suspect without having the appropriate predicate for that and find themselves potentially falsely accused,”
This is being billed as the next step in fighting terrorism, but does anyone else find it ironic that the man who ran for president as opposing President Bush’s warrantless wiretapping program is now all too willing to extend the government’s reach into the financial information of all Americans?
Barack Obama is a fraud, need I say more? Where is the media and where are the leftists who were so distraught over the wiretapping? Why are they silent?
We know that Barack Obama has ordered agencies to make the sequester cuts as painful as possible so that he could wage a propaganda war against congressional Republicans in an attempt to help his party win the House in 2014.
As part of that effort Barack Obama cancelled White House tours because he knew they were popular and he thought it would hurt the Republicans, but as it turns out this seems to have backfired on him. So what does this great leader do? He does what he does best and tries to shift the blame away from himself, claiming he had nothing to do with the decision to stop the White House tours. Barack Obama is now blaming the Secret Service for cancelling the White House tours:
You know, I have to say this was not — a decision that went up to the White House,” he claimed in an interview broadcast Wednesday by ABC News.
“What the Secret Service explained to us was that they’re gonna have to furlough some folks,
This is exactly what we have come to expect from the Dear Leader, isn’t it? He is more than willing to take the credit for any good news, but not so willing to share in the blame when things go awry.
Obamacare: Taxes to be double original estimate
According to this report the new taxes due to Obamacare will total just over $1 trillion–double what the original estimates were when this disaster was being debated in the House and Senate.
If you click on the link above you can see all of the new taxes which will soon be coming our way and you will notice that 12 of these taxes will affect people earning less than $250,ooo.
In case you have forgotten, while Barack Obama was running for president in 2008 he promised that nobody making under $250, ooo would see even one single dime of their taxes increased.
California introduces a bill to ban lead ammunition
It is no secret that Barack Obama is no fan of the second amendment and he has been using the Sandy Hook massacre to try to gain support for more stringent gun control laws.
In addition to the assault weapons ban and a ban on magazines which hold over ten rounds the federal government has been buying billions of rounds of ammunition in what could be considered an attempt to deplete the ammunition supply, causing a shortage while driving up the prices in an attempt to price ordinary Americans out of the market. So while people may own grandfathered weapons they might not be able to obtain or afford to buy ammo for the weapons.
But what about the people who already own the soon to be banned weapons who also happen to reload or those who already have stockpiled enough ammunition to make it through the shortage?
